Last Egg: Reincarnated as a Dragon in a Game

Chapter 129 Two Suns

Red flames surged in the sky, enveloping everything under their red glow as a large fiery demon, with its body looking like a mix of shadows and red fire blending together, flew towards the dragon in the sky, flapping with its large bat-like wings made out of pure shadows. Three long tails, each ending in sharp metal tips, were chaotically whirling around the demon. The heavy rain makes it hard to see too far.

The large red sphere of flames was suspended above the demon as if a red star hovered above their head.

The glowing magma sphere in the dragon’s mouth entered a glowing square of magical symbols. Its shape was deforming, turning sharper and smaller, its glow rapidly increasing.

Soon a loud bang echoed through the air as a sharp spike of yellow magma flew out of the dragon’s mouth and blasted through the air, glowing brightly.

The demon’s eyes flashed in red light as they flapped their wings, but they were too slow. The spike hit the demon straight into its chest, exiting from the demon’s back. Pitch black hole formed in the demon’s chest, filled to the brim with red flames.

Tentacles-like shadows wiggled around its edge, slowly closing the hole.

“Huh, protecting mortals? Hahaha, That is so unexpected from a dragon like you! Leave now, and you may live!” the demon erupted in distorted laughter as they flew even faster, quickly closing towards the dragon.

‘High Demon?’ Vesuvius immediately recognized the identity of the demon in front of him, feeling the specific demonic aura that his genetic memory easily matched to the record encoded in it.

“Begone demon, you have trespassed upon my territory, and you are asking me to leave my own land!” the rage erupted within the dragon, his aura quickly erupting out, the rain drops around him slowing down.

Vesuvius flapped his wings, a powerful gash of winds from his large wings changing the direction of the raindrops around him as he blasted away from the demon. A bright yellow light radiated from his mouth as a new magma sphere quickly grew inside.

Soon another spike of magma flew out, shrieking as it left the dragon’s mouth, leaving behind trails of steam as the surrounding raindrops evaporated.

It once again penetrated through the air, a powerful shockwave made by its sudden acceleration sending ripples through the heavy rain. It reached the demon in the blink of an eye and pierced through the demon’s chest, and made a large hole in its wings before continuing into the distance. Black tentacles once again wiggled around the hole, quickly closing it as if it had never existed.

The dragon suddenly braced his wings and opened his mouth even more widely, both magical circuits inside immediately vanishing by turning into orange motes. The yellow liquid with mixed gold in it erupted from the depth of the dragon’s throat, the blazing stream of magma blasting downwards towards the rising demon.

The bright yellow and gold light mixed with the red glow of the large sphere suspended above the demon, the whole sky turning into a beautiful gradient mix of red, orange and yellow.

The demon folded his wings, rolling to the side, the stream of magma missing him and continuing towards the ground where it splashed, burning poor demons on the ground.

The stream of magma kept blazing from the dragon’s mouth, falling by the demon flapping their wings and rising towards Vesuvius. Turning his long armoured neck and aiming towards the demon, the fiery shower of magma kept blasting out, missing the demon that was making fast turns and rolling through the air in sharp maneuvers, looking like flashes of red in the sky.

‘This just proves my opinion of magma not being as good in the aerial command. It is too slow and heavy… I have control over electrical fields, making it possible to create a magnetic force to propel my magma faster. It only has one problem, my magma contains too few ferromagnetic particles.’

The demon finally caught up to the dragon, Vesuvius, immediately using his analysis.

Seeing the status of the demon, Vesuvius couldn’t but feel the threat level rising, ‘Heh, the four balance races are really something else. It is just a regular high demon and already so strong… How powerful even is an ancient high demon? I still didn’t see him use his shadow powers much, but that is to be expected. Shadows are worst in aerial combat as there are not many shadows here.’

In LOMM demons and other balance, races were always considered dangerous enemies, mostly appearing in roles of bosses for their respective levels and their mobs.

They were terrifying forces, with level fifty demons effortlessly defeating humans of equivalent level. They had powerful game-breaking scaling abilities, bringing their stats high above their levels and access to powerful broken schools of magic that could easily cause large-scale destruction with relatively small mana consumption.

The giant red burning orb above the demon pulsed, its red radiance increasing significantly. Long black tendrils and tentacles burning in red flames looked as if they were made out of shadows covered with bright red hellfire as they surfaced from the sphere, swinging and wiggling around as they launched towards the dragon, loud sonic bangs echoing through the air as they crossed the speed of the sound.

Before Vesuvius could do anything, they wrapped around his body, the black armour covering him quickly disintegrating into red motes. The tentacles melted into a shadowy black liquid, looking like burning oil, slowly flowing around the dragon’s body, covering him in black burning liquid. The electricity harmlessly crackled around.

Feeling pain surging through his body Vesuvius pushed mana through his veins, a magical circuit igniting in his mind as the hot feeling spread through his whole body.

Bright orange flames closing towards yellow with golden edges blazed out of his body, the red flames extinguishing and black liquid-like shadows vanishing in black particles.

The dragon looked as if the second sun, covered in clouds, rose upon the night sky, glowing in beautiful yellow and gold radiance, pushing against the evil red sun above the demon.
