Last Egg: Reincarnated as a Dragon in a Game

Chapter 110 Intruder

POV BoobaFet:

Booba stood in the dark forest, tightly holding his spear. His eyes were at the bleeding bodies in black mantles littering the ground, covered in shadows of thick tree canopies above him.

‘I came too late.’

The man in dirty full plate armour covered in blood and mud stains stood in front of him, holding a long glowing sword. The tall ancient oaks grew multiple floors high, their thick canopies covering the forest in perpetual night. The only light source was the white radiance of his sword.

The thick smell of blood was drifting through the air, making Booba feel nauseous.

Suddenly something moved in the shadows as dry leaves on the ground audibly rustled. A figure covered in a black mantle dashed at the player with the sword, holding two daggers. The swordsman pivoted on the spot and slashed with his sword, a streak of light cleaving out of his blade. The masked figure immediately fell to the ground. His body split in the middle of his torso, blood and his intestines flowing out.

Booba gripped his spear tighter. His eyes focused on his adversary as he slowly pointed the tip of his spear at the young man in the plate armour.

The young man looked at him, his eyes stopping for a moment on his mask, “Finally, someone with higher rank! You know that that the higher rank is a synonym for more evil?”

Booba stopped in his tracks, hearing the weird words of the player in front of him, and quickly used his analysis.

Booba started sweating after seeing the level of the player in front of him, quickly messaging his friends, ”Stop playing with Draco and come here. There is a high-level psycho in the forest!”

A feminine voice sounded in his head, ”Hold there. We are coming!”

Booba, with his spear, stood firmly. Bright flames spread all over his spear, its orange light illuminating the dark forest, revealing corpses in the black mantles littering the forest.

The player in front of him swung his sword through the air, leaving white trails of light behind it, “All of you are just murderers, thieves and kidnappers! You don’t deserve to be players!”

“Calm down, dude! It’s just a game!” Booba wanted to facepalm, hearing the cringe that the man was spitting out.

The insane player opened his mouth, shouting with saliva flying out of his mouth, “Just a game?! Just a game?!!!” the insane player started to walk towards him with steady and slow steps, dry leaves rustling under his feet and blood dripping from his sword, “This is not just a game! Every NPC is alive, and you are torturing them! I will show you justice!”

”Hurry up, this guy is nuts! He is much higher level than me. I can’t hold him for long!”

Booba couldn’t but sight as he held his spear, ‘I just wanted to hunt some food for Draco. Why the hell have I met this sicko here!’. He usually wouldn’t mind a good PVP fight, but it was different when facing someone who was nuts. It sent creeps down his back.

“I came here to negotiate, but I found the truth… you are the worst scum in this game. You have manipulated innocent NPCs into the war just for your amusement, and innocents are dying thanks to you!”

‘Is this man… serious. Did he forget his pills?’ It was different than playing against a roleplayer like that priest player; this payer couldn’t even differentiate between reality and the game, causing Booba to take a step back.

The maniac pointed his blade towards Booba and bent his legs, launching forwards. Two swords of light appearing out of nowhere started to hover above and under his sword, copying its movements.

“I shall end you. Take this as your lesson for being evil!” all three swords moved towards the Booba, turning into three blurs of light as they swished through the air.

POV Vesuvius:

The dragon flew across the clear blue sky without any clouds, enjoying the feeling of warm sunlight on his wings after the days of living under the sterile white light in the dungeon that wasn’t warm and always had the same intensity.

‘Finally, I am out… I feel so tired.’ even though his body was restored after clearing the dungeon. His mind remained tired after the days of fighting.

Feeling the increased weight of his pouch brought him joy only soured by the presence of him lacking a single level to his next evolution.

‘It is slowly increasing… maybe my minions will farm enough XP for me to level up without having to do anything in a few days.’

He flapped his wings, flying above the snow-covered peaks towards the black gaping hole in the mountain, wanting to just sleep while distributing a few quests to his minions.

The dragon landed on the narrow cliff, a small avalanche falling as his sharp claws disrupted the build-up layer of snow. He immediately noticed that the dark cave looked smaller ten before, ‘Have I grown again?’

He could remember seeing the growth notification when he woke up last time, but until now, he had no reference to compare his size.

A quiet pulsing sound came from his lair, growing faster as he kept getting closer and closer. The dragon abruptly stopped in his steps, ‘Something is wrong.’.

“Your draconic Highness, I have been waiting for you.” the rough voice came from the cave, and soon a man wearing a thick fur cloak with a scarf around his face walked out. His large muscles were bulging under his cloak.”

“How dare you to defile my lair, mortal! I shall turn you into ash!” the dragon stomped his clawed legs on the stone ground, a loud bang echoing between the mountains as his eyes flared up in flames of his rage. The heat spread through his body as he couldn’t just tolerate someone entering his lair without permission. That was a grave offence to any dragon.

Of course, Vesuvius took a moment to think about any reprecausions that could happen, but there were none as he was already in conflict with the local government.

The dragon raised his claws, igniting in bright flames extending from them, looking like blades made out of the fire. He wanted to tear the man limb by limb and hang his corpse out as a warning to deter any further intruders.

The man immediately raised his arms in surrender, the sweat running down his body, “Wait, your Highness, I have a proposition that will bring you lots of riches!”
