Last Egg: Reincarnated as a Dragon in a Game

75 Chapter 75

POV ???:

The small elf was shivering under the bed, tightly clenching the silver dagger in her hand, when the old wooden doors shattered. Three bulky men in dirty black tunics entered through it, their gazes looking around. One of them was holding a big sack in his hands. The room was dark, with only silver moonlight entering through the small window. Everything was so quiet that one could hear their breathing. The three men looked at each other, their eyes meeting from under black scarves wrapped around their heads.

“Come out. We know that you are hiding here. We don’t wanna hurt you.”

‘Has anyone ever fallen for this?’

One of the men brought out a small blue crystal from his pocket, and suddenly, the bright blue light illuminated the room, revealing the old wooden furniture. The elf under the bed squirmed her eyes at the sudden influx of bright light.

One of them pointed with his arm towards the bed in the middle of the room, and his two friends nodded, slowly walking towards it, the old floor creaking with each of their steps.

The man holding the glowing crystal bent his knees, his head moving to look under the bed. Suddenly a metal glittered in her small hand, and the man staggered backwards, putting his hand on his neck. Bright red blood was leaking through his fingers, slowly flowing down and dirtying his clothes. The blue crystal fell out of his hand, dinging as it fell on the ground.

“Damn!”

The man with a sack quickly moved and grabbed the bed with his hands throwing it towards the wall, where it shattered with an incredible bang.

The small feminine figure jumped off the floor, rushing towards the man with the glittering silver dagger covered in glowing runes. However, the man unsheathed a sword from his waist and swung it, parrying the incoming dagger.

The silver dagger cut through the old sword, splitting it in half. The man quickly jumped out of the dagger’s trajectory with unnatural speed, and the residual force behind the impact sent the small elf tumbling toward the floor.

Then the last man moved and quickly grabbed her by her wrist and twisted it. The small dagger fell out of her hand as she cried in pain.

Suddenly more steps came from downstairs, and the staircase creaked again as they quickly ascended upwards.

‘Guards? Am I saved now?’ a hope returned to her heart, hearing more steps quickly approaching.

POV Vesuvius:

The huge and elegant dragon covered in golden decoration and dark smoke filled with golden-blue electrical sparks stood up, his dark smoke spreading and filling the massive stone structure before escaping through large open spaces between the high stone pillars.

Ding!

//

The evolution line forcibly changed, following racial abilities were changed, improving their general power:

Dragon Scales (LV 5) –> Noble Dragon Scales (LV 5),

True Dragon Breath (LV 6) –> Noble Dragon Breath (LV 6)

//

The dragon nodded at the changes and slowly walked out of the temple, his metallic claws tapping on the hard stone floor and his long tail rhythmically waving behind him.

He walked out, looking towards the sky still filled with dark rain clouds, with thin rain falling down, turning into steam before even reaching the dragon. The muddy ground under him was steaming and turning into a hard clay-like material in the temperature radiated out of the dragon.

‘Should I go to speak with that wyrm now that my status has improved? No, I want to organise an expedition first, to get some cattle here as soon as possible to start my wyvern breeding program. I will meet with them when I bring the cattle here.’ he knew that it was just an excuse for him not to meet with the wyrm. In reality, he just refused to feel so small and weak again compared to the massive wyrm, its horrifying aura still deeply etched in his memory.

He unfolded his massive wings that were even bigger than before, glittering in electrical light reflecting in their golden skeletal structure. He flapped them, sending gusts of dark smoke everywhere as his heavy body lifted from the ground.

Then he remembered that he wanted to try his new breath, he opened his mouth and golden and orange light radiated out before a wave of bright orange flames with golden edges erupted out, washing over the green grass, instantly turning it into the lifeless black ground. The temperature of the flames was horrifying, searing the black ground and turning it into a hard stone-like material.

The dragon grinned at the beautiful orange and golden flames. And quickly rose towards the dark clouds in the sky, strong winds propelling him forwards with even more eagerness than before. The winds were pushing him with all their might and energy, ‘Huh, it is possible that my new noble status empowered my dominion over the elements.’

The dragon stopped flapping his wings, gliding through the cloudy sky, with winds swooshing all around him. Leaving behind a trail of golden and blue electrical sparks mixed with clouds of dark black smoke.

The scenery under him quickly changed into a smooth green, and the mountains covered in a haze of rain on the horizon were fast growing.

Soon he reached the land filled with small lakes and the weird stony landscape filled with cliffs and thin wall-like stone mountains.

Vesuvius quickly noticed fast movement in the air and focused his reptilian eyes on it.

A beast covered in a black volcanic stone with lightning crackling around its armoured body descended towards a deer feeding on grass. Wind swished around the dracodactyl as it descended from the sky with a widely opened mouth filled with a line of sharp and big teeth. It reached the deer at a great speed and caught it in flight with its muscular legs. The deer trashed around as steam and smoke rose out of its body. The dracodactyl landed on the rocky ground and dropped the deer. It swung its claws quickly and brutally, tearing the deer, blood leaking out all over the stones. Then it opened its toothy mouth once again, with magma leaking out and bit into the deer, gulping a full mouth of fresh meat.

‘Haha, such a nice surprise. I think I will take this one with me as a teaser for players.’

Vesuvius dived towards the dracodactyl, stopping only a few floors high above it, flapping his wing continuously.

“Follow me!” he opened his mouth with a deep and cold voice coming out. The magical energy spread along with the sound spreading his intent towards the beast.

The beast turned its head decorated with two glowing horns towards the cloud of dark smoke in the sky and flapped its wings, lifting from the ground.

“Grahhh!” the dracodactyl opened its mouth, growling in response. Vesuvius immediately understood the meaning behind the growl, ‘It acknowledges my order.’

He flapped his wings rising high towards the sky with the beast also flapping its wings and rising upwards.
