Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1613: [NO THREATS][SCANNING][NO ABNORMALITY][INCREASE THRESHOLD][MISSION FAILED!]

“Did you really not fuck that bitch… or even seduce her?”

“…”

Victor found himself caught off guard, amused by this sudden boldness from Xara, who usually lingered in silence like a shadow at his side.

’Is she jealous?’ he wondered.

Those dark eyes flickered, barely holding back a storm of thoughts.

’Damn… she is so beautiful and lovely,’ he muttered inwardly, his lips curling as he leaned slightly closer, voice dipping into a teasing murmur,

“Maybe… Hmm~”

Before the words could fully leave him, Xara moved.

Her soft, small lips crashed against his with sudden force, clumsy yet desperate. Victor’s eyes widened for a brief second, surprise flashing before it melted into something darker.

His girls had been more aggressive these days… something had shifted.

He wondered why?

Xara pulled back just enough, her face flushed deep red, lips trembling as if caught between anger and something far more dangerous. Her body quivered despite the force she tried to hold.

“Y-You better not seduce that bitch!” she snapped.

Victor’s smirk deepened, slow and knowing. His hands slid along her waist, fingers pressing into her warmth as he pulled her closer, closing whatever fragile distance remained.

His breath brushed her ear as he whispered,

“Why? Because she was your daughter-in-law? Or…” his voice dipped lower, teasing, “…maybe jealous?”

Xara flinched, her head snapping away as if the word itself stung.

“Bastard! Me? J-Jealous?” she forced a laugh, “Haha… Dream on! There is no way I would get jealous over a small girl… Hahaha…”

Victor watched her closely, that forced smile trembling at the edges, her body betraying every word she spoke.

It was almost cruel how transparent she was.

’So cute… both mother and daughter… when they get jealous, they become unbearably cute,’ he thought, a quiet heat building in his chest.

His fingers rose, brushing gently against her lips, tracing their softness as if claiming them. “My dear Xara,” he murmured, voice thick with quiet hunger,

“You look fucking incredible when you’re jealous…”

His tongue briefly passed over his lips, slow and deliberate~

!!

Xara froze, her entire body stiffening before heat rushed across her face, blooming like fire beneath her skin.

“I-I am not jealous!”

Victor said nothing this time.

He simply stared.

Not playfully, but intensely… his gaze locking onto hers.

He just fucking stared at her eyes, holding her there, trapping her beneath that burning intensity, and like dark chocolate left under a relentless heat, she softened, then slowly melted under his scorching gaze.

She lasted only seconds… worse than dark chocolate?

“… M-Maybe… a little,” she whispered, her voice so faint it barely existed, softer than breath.

Victor’s lips twitched, a quiet thrill passing through him. “Oh dear… oh my bloody dear~”

He didn’t wait.

His lips captured hers again, slower this time, deeper. His grip tightened around her, pulling her fully into him, chest against chest.

Xara’s body softened, melting into him, her breath faltering as she struggled to keep up.

“Hmmm~ Slurrrpp~”

“Hmm… S-Stop… hmmm~” she tried, her protest dissolving into a soft sound against his lips.

Victor pulled back just enough for their breaths to mingle, a faint smirk playing on his face.

“What, shy now?” he murmured, “Even though you kissed me twice?”

Before she could respond, he closed the gap again, his lips pressing into hers.

“Hmmm~!”

The lab fell quiet, breathless sounds that lingered in the air.

The jealousy vanished without leaving even a faint trace, dissolving into something far softer, something warmer that slowly spread through the blood-heavy atmosphere.

*S-Sir, what are you doing?*

The head asked in a curious tone, as its limited vision failed to make out what was happening just beyond its reach.

Meanwhile, Vesperine walked down the corridor with a dark, grumbling expression, her brows tightly knit as she bit down on her nails with growing irritation.

“Fuck that bitch! How the fuck did she get into his pants?!” she muttered under her breath, her voice laced with disbelief and anger.

“She already has a handsome man hiding somewhere, and now this?”

“She’s worse than a slut! And yet… M-Mr. Victor… actually let her kiss him?”

The mere image of Xara and Victor together… replayed in her mind again and again.

Her veins throbbed visibly on her forehead.

“Hmph! She’s just an old hag! I could be way better than that bi—Kya!”

Her words snapped in half as she suddenly collided with something solid. The impact sent her stumbling backwards before she fell to the floor with a dull thud.

Groaning, she rubbed her head, irritation flaring instantly as she glared upward.

“Can’t you see I’m walking?”

But then, her voice paused.

Standing before her was a girl she had never seen before.

“Sorry… I just woke up, and my eyes are still a bit foggy,” the girl said gently. A soft smile rested on her lips as she extended her hand toward Vesperine without hesitation.

Vesperine blinked once, then again. She reached out and took the offered hand, pulling herself up.

Her gaze lingered longer this time, studying the girl’s face with curiosity.

“Have we… met before?” she asked slowly, tilting her head.

The girl mirrored the motion, “I… don’t think so? Have we?” she replied softly.

Vesperine hummed under her breath, her eyes narrowing slightly as she observed her more closely.

Something didn’t sit right.

There was a strange sense of familiarity. It felt close… too close.

As if she knew this girl.

And yet, at the same time, she didn’t.

’Maybe I’m still annoyed by the previous incident,’ Vesperine thought, shaking her head slightly as if to push the feeling away.

“Anyway,” she continued, crossing her arms lightly, regaining a bit of her usual sharpness, “who are you? And what are you doing here?”

The girl’s smile returned, “I’m Mira,” she said. “I was kind of brought here by my junior… Victor.”

“Junior?” Vesperine’s brows lifted in clear surprise, “You mean you studied in our academy? Our senior?”

Mira nodded without hesitation. “Yeah.”

Vesperine blinked again, clearly not expecting that answer. “Then… why did he bring you here?” she asked, her tone carrying a mix of curiosity and something faintly uneasy.

Mira’s smile shifted just a little, turning playful, “Well… he seems to be a little overprotective of me~”

She gave a small, teasing wink before stepping past Vesperine, as she stretched lightly, a soft yawn escaping her lips.

“Anyway, I’ll be going now,” she added casually, continuing down the corridor.

Vesperine remained where she stood, her gaze fixed on Mira’s retreating figure, her thoughts slowly tangling again.

“I’m sure I’ve seen her before… but where…” she muttered, pressing her fingers against her temple as frustration crept back in. “Argh…”

With a sharp exhale, she dropped her hand and shrugged it off.

“And what does she mean ’a little overprotective’? Don’t tell me he’s into her?” she scoffed, disbelief flickering across her face.

“Her? She’s not even as good-looking as me?!”

She groaned loudly, dragging her hand down her face before turning and stomping off, her steps echoing faintly through the corridor.

Mira continued walking at a steady pace.

Her expression shifted, the warmth draining away as her face turned slightly cold.

She glanced back over her shoulder, her eyes settling on Vesperine, a faint frown forming as her gaze sharpened with quiet understanding.

Only one thought crossed her mind, clear and certain.

’I see…’

Meanwhile, back in the Aurora Empire, where Aether’s… or more precisely, Iteration No.25’s spear stood in eerie stillness.

To the naked eye, it appeared violently embedded into the earth, as though hurled down with enough force to split the land itself. Yet, upon closer inspection… The tip hovered just a hair’s breadth above the ground.

Not even dust dared settle beneath it.

The land stretched empty. Only the faint, irregular buzzing of insects drifted through the air, circling lazily through the stillness.

Then—

Ssshhh~

A distortion tore gently into space.

A small white portal shimmered into existence, its circular edges rippling like liquid light. The air around it warped subtly, bending inward as if drawn toward its centre.

From within, a mechanical vibration seeped out.

Ssnnnngggggg~

A black metallic quadcopter emerged.

Its four rotors spun to life with a slicing hum, stabilising its frame midair.

A thin beam of cold white light flickered from its central lens, sweeping across the ground in calculated arcs.

[NO THREATS]

Its body adjusted with small, controlled tilts, micro-movements aligning its sensors with the spear ahead.

The mechanical eye pulsed once, then again.

It advanced.

As it approached, the force of its spinning rotors pressed the grass flat, blades bending and shivering violently under the wind. Dust lifted in faint spirals, disturbed from its long stillness.

[SCANNING]

A red light ignited within its core. It extended outward in narrow lines, tracing the spear from base to tip, then circling it in layered passes, capturing every angle, every imperfection, every impossible detail.

[NO ABNORMALITY]

For a brief moment, it hovered in absolute stillness.

Then—

A faint mechanical click echoed.

Panels along its underside shifted. From within, a segmented metallic arm unfolded, each joint extending with a smooth hum. The hand formed at its end, fingers tightening as internal servos adjusted for grip strength.

It reached.

Clasped and Pulled.

… Nothing?

The spear did not move.

It remained exactly as it was.

[INCREASE THRESHOLD]

Its rotors roared louder, spinning faster, the pitch rising into a sharp mechanical whine. The air around it twisted visibly now, forming spiralling currents that tugged at the ground, dragging loose dirt and fragments upward.

Its frame vibrated under the increasing output, joints tightening, systems pushing beyond optimal limits.

Still—

The spear did not move.

One rotor stuttered.

A sharp crackle followed as heat built along its axis. Smoke began to leak from the joint, thin at first, then thicker, curling upward in dark strands.

The grip faltered.

The mechanical arm retracted slightly, then stopped entirely.

[MISSION FAILED!]

The quadcopter hovered unevenly now. A faint, irregular tremor ran through its structure as internal systems recalibrated.

Without delay, it disengaged.

Turning sharply, it accelerated back toward the portal, leaving behind a thin trail of dark smoke that twisted and broke apart in the air.

Ssssshhh~

It slipped through the white distortion.

The portal collapsed inward, its edges folding like extinguished flame before vanishing completely.

The field returned to silence.

Only a faint trace of smoke remained… and even that quickly faded.

The spear stood alone once more.

****

Void Empire.

Inside the Dome.

Deep within its labyrinthine structure, beyond reinforced corridors and shattered containment zones, lay a massive cavern hollowed into the depths.

At the centre stood a colossal white portal.

Its surface swirls endlessly, layers of light folding into one another like a storm trapped in place. Energy pulsed faintly from it.

Beside it stood two skeletal metallic constructs.

Their frames elongated and angular, resembling stripped-down giants of steel. Exposed joints and layered plating gave them a monstrous presence, their hollow eye sockets dark and unlit.

Before them, two figures sat.

“Is there any information regarding this unknown spear… and this person?”

The voice came from a black metallic figure seated. Its structure differed entirely from the other metallic figures that Aether encountered.

Its design was refined, layered with complex plating and embedded mechanisms that shifted subtly with each movement, producing faint, controlled mechanical sounds.

Opposite it sat a blurred figure.

Its form flickered at the edges, as though it did not fully belong within the same plane.

Between them hovered an image.

A figure.

Their face hidden behind overwhelming brightness, their body radiating something like ethereal flames that licked upward without burning. In their hands rested a pure spear, its surface smooth and absolute, its tip angled forward as if piercing through the viewer itself.

The blurred figure observed the image in silence.

“Why do you want to know?” the blurred figure finally asked.

“According to our collected data, there is no record of an individual wielding such a weapon,” it replied. “This development was… unexpected.”

A faint mechanical shift echoed from within its frame as internal systems adjusted.

“A sudden anomaly emerging from the Aurora Empire.”

A pause followed.

“And he or she single-handedly eliminated my soldiers within minutes.”

“Units designed for adaptive combat… erased.”

A faint, distorted chuckle followed, metallic and hollow.

“Something like this… and nobody knew?”

Its head tilted slightly.

“How… amusing.”

Then, its focus sharpened again.

“So… do you know who it is?”

The blurred figure did not respond immediately.

Its gaze remained fixed on the image.

Then—

“I do know… him personally~”

A slow, knowing smirk formed beneath the blurriness.
