Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

Chapter 752

Chapter 752

Noa Tours the Village

[Noa PoV]

Yuna-san and Kagali-san went with Ruimin-san’s grandfather.

As I observed Kagali-san and Mumroot-san’s interactions, I found their relationship mysterious to me.

The two were talking to each other as we moved to the village. I could even hear laughter from them from time to time.

Somehow, they seemed to have a relationship like longtime friends.

But the difference in age between them though…

“Ruimin-san, Sakura, I have to ask you, what is the relationship between Kagali-san and Mumroot-san?” (Noa)

I was curious, so I asked.

“Well…” (Ruimin)

“What should I say…” (Sakura)

Ruimin-san and Sakura looked at each other with troubled expressions.

“Perhaps I shouldn’t have asked? Then there is no need to explain…” (Noa)

I didn’t mean to trouble the two of them.

I just thought about their ages.

“Could it be that Kagali-san is Mumroot-san’s daughter!” (Misa)

Misa, who was next to me, said in a raised voice.

“No!” (Ruimin)

But Ruimin-san immediately denied it.

“Please don’t say strange things in the village.” (Ruimin)

“I am sorry.” (Misa)

Misa apologized.

I, too, had entertained the same thought, but I didn’t say it out loud.

I looked at Sakura and she made a thoughtful gesture.

Then she slowly opened her mouth.

“Mumroot-sama and Kagali-sama are old friends.” (Ruimin)

“Friends?” (Misa)

“You say they are old friends, but their age…” (Noa)

Kagali-san was quite young.

Mumroot-san, on the other hand, looked older than most long-lived elves.

He may very well be older than I think he appeared to be.

“I cannot give you the details, but Kagali-sama is as long-lived as Mumroot-sama.” (Sakura)

Both Misa and I were surprised to hear that.

“This is something that only a few people in the country know about, so please keep it to yourself.” (Sakura)

Was it really appropriate for us to hear such an important matter?

I think Sakura trusted us enough to share such an important detail.

“Yes, I will never tell anyone.” (Noa)

“I am sorry, too. I asked some strange things. I promise not to tell anyone about this.” (Misa)

Misa and I promised.

But this cleared up something that was bothering me.

This explained why Yuna-san treated Kagali-san as if Kagali-san were older than her, as well as Sakura and Shinobu-san’s respectful and deferent attitude toward Kagali-san, and Kagali-san’s lack of respect for the royal bloodline. I was surprised that someone who was not of royal blood was in a position to meet the King and express her opinion.

That and the fact that she lived quietly and alone in a secluded place where no one could see her.

It all made sense now.

At the same time, I felt as if my understanding of this world deepened a bit.

Like the fairies, the world was full of things that I did not know.

This world is full of mysteries and wonders.

I would like to see things with my own eyes, listen to what people have to say, learn from them, and enjoy myself.

“By the way, did you know about this, Fina?” (Noa)

“…Yes.” (Fina)

Fina nodded apologetically. So Fina did know, after all.

I changed the subject to indicate that I wouldn’t be asking any more questions about Kagali-san and Mumroot-san.

“Fina and Shuri have been in this village before, right?” (Noa)

“Yes.” (Fina)

“Yes, we have.” (Shuri)

Fina and Shuri replied.

I envied them, as I did envy them in the Land of Wa.

And I also sad, that they didn’t tell me about such an experience.

So when Yuna-san told me about it this time, I did not want to keep it a secret from Misa.

I thought Misa would have been sad when she found out about it someday.

So I was delighted that Misa was able to come with me.

“Has Sakura been here before?” (Noa)

“Only once, but that was when the giant serpent appeared in the Land of Wa. I didn’t have an opportunity to spare to see the village.” (Sakura)

“That time was very dangerous.” (Ruimin)

Sakura and Ruimin-san were smiling, but it must have been really hard.

“Today I will show you around slowly. But it’s just an empty village.” (Ruimin)

Ruimin-san’s words brought laughter to everyone.

“Well, I’m happy just to be able to go out with everyone.” (Sakura)

I was thinking the same thing as Sakura.

Ruimin-san said that there was nothing to see in the village, but to tell the truth, I have hardly been to any other villages.

My father never took me to other places, and I never stepped outside of our immediate territory by myself.

I would only stop by some villages when I went to the royal capital or other cities. I have never walked around any village in depth because I only stayed at inns. The last time I was in another village was when I stopped by to look for Primme-san’s sister. I did not go sightseeing because I left that village almost immediately thereafter.

So, even though there was nothing new to see, the sight was still a refreshing one in my eyes.

Misa was scurrying around to check the place, so it was probably the same for her.

“Shuri, don’t go out and around on your own.” (Fina)

It seemed we were not the only ones who were excited.

Fina and Shuri seemed to be enjoying it as well.

We walked through the village.

The villagers were glancing at us, as if they were interested in us.

While we were walking through the village, children were watching us from a distance.

Then about five children approached us.

“It’s Bear-san!”

The children hug Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear.

It turned out that they were not approaching us, but the bears.

“Look, we have a visitor. Don’t disturb them.” (Ruimin)

Ruimin-san gently warned the children.

“Sorry.”

The children apologized and moved away from Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear.

“Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear are well-liked here, aren’t they?” (Noa)

“Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear are so cute, they are very popular in this village.” (Misa)

They certainly were cute, as expected, of Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear.

We decided to play with the children to deepen our friendship.

The children were happy to see Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear for the first time in a while.

While we were playing with the children, Shinobu-san, who was watching over us, turned grim-faced and looked around.

“Shinobu?” (Sakura)

Sakura asked suspiciously.

“Who is it?” (Shinobu)

Shinobu-san called out, and a man appeared in front of us.

I didn’t notice.

He seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.

“I thought I heard some noise, Ruimin, who are these people?” (Labilata)

The man asked Ruimin-san, ignoring Shinobu-san’s words.

The man looked at us with probing eyes.

I have seen many people with such eyes.

These were like the eyes of aristocrats and merchants when they were shopping for goods.

“Well, Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear are here, which means Yuna is visiting us, right?” (Labilata)

The man looked at Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear, then at Ruimin-san.

“Yes. Yuna-san is at Grandpa’s place. These children are Yuna-san’s friends.” (Ruimin)

“Yuna’s…” (Labilata)

His expression changed to something more agreeable.

“While Yuna-san is at Grandpa’s, I’m showing them around the village.” (Ruimin)

“And the girl there?” (Labilata)

The man looked at Shinobu-san.

“Well, she is Shinobu-san, Sakura-chan’s escort or caretaker.” (Ruimin)

“Shinobu.” (Shinobu)

“…She’s strong.” (Labilata)

Shinobu-san looked surprised at the man’s words.

“I’m weak, I’m not even close to Yuna.” (Shinobu)

“You are making a mistake by comparing yourself to her.” (Labilata)

“…I guess so.” (Shinobu)

Shinobu-san and the man laughed a little, as if they had understood each other.

Perhaps this man was one of the people who knew Yuna-san’s strength.

Yuna-san must have met many people without my knowledge.

“Ruimin, if the chief knows about this, then there is no problem, but don’t make a commotion.” (Labilata)

The man said that much and walked away.

“He looks a little scary.” (Misa)

Misa looked relieved.

I was a little scared too.

“Well, Labilata-san is the protector of the village. He is blunt, but he is not a bad person. Please forgive him.” (Ruimin)

“I don’t mind, it’s okay.” (Noa)

“Yes, me too.” (Sakura)

Sakura and the others nodded at my words.

I have seen many people who were married to their work.

So I knew that there were people like that.

Judging by his way of life, he would be similar to Father, who is a man with a clumsy way of life, from what little I heard from Mother.

He must have been trying to protect the village.

Then, thanks to the children, the villagers became less wary of us, and when they found out that we knew Yuna-san, they gave us fruits from the forest.

They were all delicious.

We parted from the children and greeted Ruimin-san’s parents.

Ruimin-san’s parents were kind people.

Ruimin-san’s younger brother was also cute.

Then I was surprised when I heard about Ruimin-san’s sister, who was a very nice person.

“I had no idea that the guild master of the Adventurers’ Guild in the Royal Capital was Ruimin-san’s sister.” (Noa)

I have never had a conversation with the guild master of the Adventurers’ Guild in the Royal Capital, but I have seen her several times.

As I recalled, she was a beautiful woman with the same light green hair color as Ruimin-san’s.

The world may be a big place, but we have a connection with someone somewhere out there, don’t we?
