Konoha: Let's Just Destroy It
Chapter 82: Tanzaku Town
"I want Tsunade to help, but that’ll be very difficult."
Orochimaru had once been Nawaki’s mentor.
But he had failed to protect Nawaki.
That incident had always been a barrier between Tsunade and Orochimaru.
If Tsunade saw Orochimaru, she probably wouldn’t even have a good expression on her face, let alone agree to help him.
Naruto smiled.
"I heard that Tsunade has been taking on difficult medical missions while traveling around these past few years to earn money."
"Orochimaru, you can have Kabuto take Kimimaro to find Tsunade."
"Just prepare enough medical fees."
Did Tsunade really have a reason to refuse money?
Orochimaru certainly wasn’t short on cash.
Hearing this, Orochimaru froze.
That was right.
Why did he need to show up personally?
Wouldn’t it be enough to simply pay her and treat it as an ordinary transaction?
Even Orochimaru had heard about Tsunade’s reputation as a legendary gambler and an easy target for anyone looking to make money off her.
She must be desperately short of cash!
After figuring it out, Orochimaru couldn’t help smiling.
"Naruto, that’s a good idea. Would you be interested in making the trip?"
He felt that sending Kabuto alone would still be somewhat unreliable.
Having Naruto go would be much safer.
Naruto asked curiously:
"You know where Tsunade is?"
Orochimaru nodded.
"Yes. She’s in Tanzaku Town, in the Land of Fire."
"Then that works. I also left a Flying Thunder God mark near Tanzaku Town. I’ll take Kimimaro with me."
Naruto did not refuse.
Kimimaro was loyal to Orochimaru, which meant he was effectively loyal to Naruto as well.
It would be a waste to let such a powerful subordinate with tremendous potential die from his bloodline disease.
Before long, Orochimaru prepared a full hundred million ryo for Naruto.
He looked completely unconcerned about the expense.
In Konoha, an S-rank mission paid one million ryo or more.
A hundred million was an astronomical amount.
Many Jonin would never earn that much in their entire lives.
Tanzaku Town
Naruto, Kimimaro, and Karin walked through the streets of Tanzaku Town.
Naruto had brought Karin along on a whim.
He wanted to see whether Tsunade might be more agreeable upon discovering that they were members of the Uzumaki clan.
Of course, it was merely an idea.
Whether it worked or not didn’t really matter.
They visited several casinos along the way.
They heard plenty of rumors about the legendary "Big Fat Sheep," but they couldn’t find the woman herself.
After searching for more than an hour, the sky had already begun to darken.
Suddenly—
"Stop!"
A chaotic series of footsteps came from behind them.
A blonde woman and a black-haired girl carrying a small pig ran past them, with a large group of people chasing closely behind.
When Naruto saw the character for "gambling" on the back of the blonde woman’s flowing green coat, he immediately smiled.
Karin asked curiously:
"Naruto, what’s wrong?"
Naruto gestured toward the backs of Tsunade and Shizune.
"We found her. Follow me."
"Tsunade..."
Karin quietly repeated the name.
Then her eyes widened in disbelief.
"They’re...?"
The legendary Tsunade was actually being chased through the streets by a group of ordinary people?
And if she hadn’t misheard, they were debt collectors, right?
Was the legendary Tsunade really living this miserably?
"Yeah. Let’s follow them."
Naruto activated Kagura Mind’s Eye and followed Tsunade with Karin and Kimimaro.
On the other side.
After shaking off the ordinary people who had been chasing her for money, Tsunade frowned slightly and turned to look behind her.
Shizune followed her gaze but saw nothing.
She asked in confusion:
"Tsunade-sama, what is it?"
"Someone has come looking for me."
Tsunade had noticed that she was being followed.
And these people were not ordinary civilians.
Naruto, Karin, and Kimimaro followed behind Tsunade at a comfortable distance.
They made no particular effort to hide themselves.
Tsunade had already gotten used to people following her and paid them little attention.
She simply kept walking.
Perhaps they were people coming to offer her money.
Shizune’s heart stirred.
She understood that the "someone" Tsunade was talking about was not one of her debt collectors.
Over the years, quite a few people had come looking for Tsunade.
Some were ninja trying to persuade her to return to Konoha.
But more often, they were people seeking Tsunade’s help to treat difficult illnesses.
Thinking of this, Shizune secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
As long as they had income, they wouldn’t have to keep hiding from their creditors.
Meanwhile.
Sensing that Tsunade had stopped, Naruto’s heart stirred.
He immediately turned around and said:
"Let’s go. Don’t keep her waiting."
With that, he increased his pace.
Before long, Tsunade crossed her arms and scrutinized the three people standing before her.
The red-haired girl was too young.
The white-haired ninja was deliberately standing one step behind the person in the middle.
It was obvious that he was a bodyguard.
The distinction between their respective positions was extremely clear.
Tsunade immediately focused her attention on Naruto, who was standing in the center.
"Something you want?"
Naruto glanced at the darkening sky.
"Tsunade-sama, I apologize for coming without notice, but I do have something to ask of you."
"However, it’s already getting late. Why don’t we find somewhere to sit down and talk first?"
"Sure. Let’s go, Shizune. Someone’s buying dinner tonight."
Tsunade was remarkably straightforward.
She gestured toward Shizune before taking the lead.
Naruto and the other two followed behind her.
Karin curiously watched their backs.
Now she believed that the woman in front of them really was Tsunade.
An ordinary ninja would never casually agree to go somewhere with strangers.
This was probably what it meant to be confident because of overwhelming strength.
But that character on the back of her coat...
The word "Gambling"...
She really was quite the character.
A Private Room at a Hot Spring Inn
Tsunade looked like she had found a wealthy sucker and ordered a huge amount of food.
Even Shizune’s mouth twitched.
She glanced worriedly at Naruto.
Seeing that his expression remained completely normal, she finally relaxed.
She was worried that the wealthy client who had finally come knocking would be frightened away by Tsunade.
Otherwise, they might end up sleeping on the streets tonight.
Naruto, however, remained completely unconcerned.
He took his time.
Even though Tsunade had ordered a lot, it only came to a little over ten thousand ryo.
After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, Tsunade’s cheeks were slightly flushed.
She let out a small hiccup.
"Tsunade-sama, let’s take care of the actual business first."
Shizune quietly reminded her and gestured toward Naruto.
Tsunade came back to her senses and turned toward Naruto.
"What is it? Tell me."
Naruto immediately said:
"The bloodline disease associated with the Kaguya clan’s Shikotsumyaku."
"The Kaguya clan still has a bloodline user?"
Tsunade’s brows immediately furrowed upon hearing the name Kaguya.
She then shifted her gaze toward Kimimaro, who stood nearby with his usual expressionless, sickly appearance.
She hadn’t paid much attention to him earlier.
But now that Naruto had mentioned the Kaguya clan, Tsunade immediately noticed the obvious characteristics of the clan in Kimimaro.
She then looked at Naruto and Karin.
Tsunade froze.
After a brief moment, she couldn’t help asking:
"You two are...?"
The vitality inside Naruto and Karin was extraordinarily powerful, giving Tsunade a familiar and strangely comforting feeling.
Naruto, the consummate actor, frowned slightly.
"Tsunade-sama’s rule is not to ask about a client’s identity, isn’t it?"
Tsunade nodded.
"That’s true. As long as you can afford the fee, I’ll treat you."
"But I’m rather interested in the two of you."
Hearing this, hesitation appeared on Naruto’s face.
After thinking for a moment, he finally said:
"We’re survivors of the Uzumaki clan."
"The Uzumaki clan?"
Shizune’s pupils contracted slightly.
She couldn’t help glancing toward Tsunade.
Tsunade had already formed a vague guess.
She nodded slightly, but smiled as she said:
"You two didn’t investigate my background and deliberately say that just to get me to help, did you? Can you prove it?"
Although she had already reached a rough conclusion, especially after seeing the red-haired Karin, she still wasn’t completely certain about Naruto.
The Uzumaki clan had been wiped out decades ago.
Now, two survivors had suddenly appeared.
Tsunade couldn’t help wanting to confirm it herself.
Besides, Naruto had hesitated before answering.
Tsunade couldn’t understand why he had hesitated.
Naruto turned to glance at Karin.
Then, the two of them simultaneously activated their Uzumaki sealing techniques.
Adamantine Sealing Chains!
Golden chains instantly burst forth from Naruto and Karin!
The wine cup in Tsunade’s hand trembled.
