Chapter 69: The Tsundere Nine-Tails

"Ni... Nine-Tails!"

Kabuto Yakushi was about to lose his mind.

What exactly had he done wrong?

Why had the Nine-Tails suddenly appeared?!

The Nine-Tails that had just been released was like a wild beast that had broken free from its restraints.

Powerful waves of pressure continuously surged from its body.

Feeling the Nine-Tails’ overwhelming presence, even Orochimaru couldn’t help breaking out in a cold sweat.

But compared to the Nine-Tails now, that was nothing.

Hearing this, the Nine-Tails instantly withdrew its aura and lay down on the ground.

Naruto walked over and patted the Nine-Tails on the cheek.

The Nine-Tails rubbed its head against Naruto’s hand.

Orochimaru and Kabuto’s eyes immediately widened.

Was this really the same savage Nine-Tails from just now?

It looked more like a pet!

Naruto spoke.

"Kurama, you must have been cooped up for a long time. Want me to take you outside for a walk?"

A hint of interest appeared on the Nine-Tails’ face.

But thinking that it might cause trouble for Naruto, it deliberately put on an indifferent expression.

"I’ve already wandered around the shinobi world for over a thousand years. What’s there to see?"

"Pfft!"

Uchiha Izumi couldn’t help laughing.

Every time she saw the Nine-Tails acting all tsundere, she found the contrast hilarious.

She simply couldn’t stop herself from laughing.

"Damn it, you little Uchiha brat! What are you laughing at?!"

The Nine-Tails angrily thrust its head toward Uchiha Izumi.

It bared its sharp fangs, while its savage vertical pupils were filled with murderous intent.

Uchiha Izumi, however, showed no fear.

She glared at the Nine-Tails with her Mangekyō Sharingan, and her ocular power erupted!

The Nine-Tails’ fierce expression immediately froze.

Its eyes transformed into the pattern of the Mangekyō Sharingan!

"Good Nine-Tails!"

Uchiha Izumi imitated Naruto and patted the Nine-Tails on the cheek.

The controlled Nine-Tails then rubbed its head against Uchiha Izumi.

It was exactly the same interaction it had just shared with Naruto!

Inside the sealing space, the Nine-Tails immediately roared in fury.

"Damn it! You Uchiha brat—!"

Unfortunately, its voice couldn’t escape the sealing space.

Uchiha Izumi couldn’t hear it at all.

Naruto and Minato could only shake their heads and laugh.

In the past, while inside the sealing space, the Nine-Tails could at least threaten and mock Uchiha Izumi.

And Uchiha Izumi had always been able to endure it despite being angry.

But ever since Uchiha Izumi awakened the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, the Nine-Tails could no longer act arrogantly around her.

Every time it tried to show off, Uchiha Izumi simply treated it like a pet and played with it.

Nearby, Orochimaru watched Naruto and the others interacting so harmoniously with the Nine-Tails.

Cold sweat appeared on his forehead.

Should I find an opportunity to prepare a few tables and apologize or something?

This was terrifying!

The ocular power Uchiha Izumi had displayed while controlling the Nine-Tails was at least several times stronger than Uchiha Itachi’s!

Kabuto fell into another daze.

"Forget it, Kurama. You’re an elder, so don’t hold a grudge over something so trivial."

Without giving the Nine-Tails an excuse to back down, it really wouldn’t be able to let the matter go.

"Hmph!"

The Nine-Tails snorted and turned its head away.

Uchiha Izumi stuck out her tongue mischievously.

That’s what you get for always bullying me before.

What goes around comes around.

"Kurama, what are you planning to do now?

I can set up a barrier outside so you can move around freely."

Knowing what the Nine-Tails was thinking, Naruto made the suggestion.

Naruto could indeed create a barrier that would prevent outsiders from seeing what was happening inside.

It would simply take a considerable amount of time.

It would also require a great deal of manpower and resources.

And once the barrier was completed, people would still be needed to maintain it.

Fortunately, Orochimaru had just established a new shinobi village.

Once the barrier was set up, Orochimaru’s people could maintain it.

"No need."

The Nine-Tails shook its head slightly.

In the next instant, it transformed into chakra and surged into Naruto’s seal!

Minato, Uchiha Izumi, Orochimaru, Kabuto, and even Naruto himself couldn’t help freezing in surprise.

None of them had expected the Nine-Tails to voluntarily enter the seal.

After the Yin Nine-Tails finished flowing into Naruto’s sealing space, Naruto said inwardly,

"Kurama, why bother?"

The now-complete Nine-Tails, whose body had grown considerably larger, twitched its ears and replied indifferently,

"I am ultimately a single being. Being whole is better than remaining divided in two."

"Alright."

Naruto said nothing more.

He silently decided that he would let the Nine-Tails out again in the future.

It wasn’t good for it to remain inside his stomach all the time.

For now, Naruto was still young and couldn’t do much anyway, so he didn’t really mind.

There was nothing he needed to hide.

At this moment, the reincarnated Minato spoke.

"Naruto, everything has been taken care of. I’ll let this body go for now."

"Father, aren’t you going to look around?"

"No. Having another version of me watch you grow up is enough."

After saying that, the reincarnated Minato turned toward Orochimaru.

"Orochimaru, thank you for your help."

"Alright."

Orochimaru responded before forming a hand seal with one hand and releasing the Impure World Reincarnation.

As Minato’s body transformed into a pile of yellow earth and dispersed, an eerie smile appeared on Orochimaru’s face.

He had a feeling that he wouldn’t be meeting Minato again.

Turning around, Orochimaru asked Naruto,

"Naruto, is there anything else you need help with?"

Naruto thought for a moment.

Then an idea occurred to him.

"By the way, how many Kekkei Genkai users do you have right now?"

"Oh? Naruto-kun, are you interested in Kekkei Genkai users too? I have quite a few here. Come, I’ll show you my collection."

Orochimaru licked his lips and extended the invitation.

A few black lines appeared across Naruto’s forehead.

He had a feeling Orochimaru had misunderstood something.

Then Naruto suddenly remembered something.

"Do you have anyone from the Uzumaki Clan?"

Orochimaru answered regretfully,

"The Uzumaki Clan is extremely rare. Even if there are still survivors, most of them are living under assumed names.

"Besides, they aren’t particularly conspicuous. I haven’t encountered any of them myself."

The Uzumaki Clan possessed extraordinarily powerful life force.

Orochimaru had wanted to find a few of them to study as well.

Unfortunately, the Uzumaki Clan had already been wiped out.

Aside from their red hair, they didn’t possess any particularly obvious physical traits.

And red hair wasn’t unique to the Uzumaki Clan.

There were quite a few red-haired shinobi throughout the shinobi world.

As long as they didn’t travel around the world or use their clan’s secret techniques, no one would discover their identity.

Unlike other Kekkei Genkai users, they didn’t have a large group or a fixed settlement.

"I just remembered there’s an Uzumaki clan member who ended up wandering outside the village. I’ll pass on seeing your collection for now."

Thinking of Karin, Naruto immediately lost interest in seeing Orochimaru’s collection.

Originally, he hadn’t had a way to arrange for her, so he had never made contact with her.

But now that he had Orochimaru, he could bring her back and properly train her.

She could become a valuable ally in the future.
