Chapter 52: White Zetsu, Disguise, and Escape

Dusk.

Uchiha Itachi stood on a tree branch, gazing indifferently at the Uchiha compound.

Under the setting sun, everything within the Uchiha district appeared blood-red through his eyes.

Suddenly!

The space beside Itachi twisted into a vortex, and a man wearing a patterned mask emerged.

Uchiha Obito!

"Uchiha Itachi, have you made your decision?"

"I have. I need your help."

Itachi’s tone was calm.

It didn’t sound like a request. Rather, it was a simple statement.

As though he had already decided that the man before him wouldn’t refuse.

"Fine. But you need to join our organization. Besides, you have nowhere else to go now, do you?"

Obito’s tone was equally calm as he extended the invitation.

"Alright."

On the other side of the Uchiha compound.

Naruto, disguised as an ANBU, was also standing atop a tree, watching the Uchiha district.

"Damn it! Uchiha!"

Suddenly, the Nine-Tails roared inside the sealing space!

Naruto couldn’t help freezing for a moment.

"Naruto, the mysterious person who controlled the Nine-Tails back then has appeared. He’s made contact with Uchiha Itachi!"

Hearing Minato’s words, Naruto finally understood.

Obito had arrived, and Minato had detected him.

No wonder the Nine-Tails was reacting so strongly.

There were probably already White Zetsu scattered all around the Uchiha compound, preparing to steal the eyes tonight.

Naruto had also been waiting for an opportunity to analyze a White Zetsu and see whether he could obtain its abilities.

If he couldn’t, he would have to use another plan tonight.

"Naruto, if you hadn’t asked me to search, I wouldn’t have noticed it either.

"There’s a hostile presence on the trunk of the third tree to your right, about nine meters up!"

The moment Naruto finished speaking, the Nine-Tails immediately responded.

A mass of white slime clung to the blade.

It was definitely White Zetsu!

The Uchiha clan didn’t deliberately mistreat its members when it came to housing.

Hazuki’s home was simply rather modest.

Although Izumi often forced money into her mother’s hands, Hazuki lived alone and couldn’t bring herself to waste money.

Naruto, who had merged into the ground, saw Hazuki preparing dinner.

After sensing the surrounding area and having the Nine-Tails confirm that there were no White Zetsu nearby, Naruto slowly emerged from the ground.

"ANBU? Is something wrong?"

Hazuki wasn’t frightened by the sudden appearance of the ANBU.

She vaguely guessed that it had something to do with her daughter.

After all, the ANBU wouldn’t have any reason to seek out an ordinary Uchiha woman for no reason.

She simply didn’t know whether their intentions were friendly or hostile.

"Konoha is planning to move against the Uchiha clan tonight. I’ve been entrusted by Izumi Uchiha to take you away, Aunt Hazuki."

After saying that, Naruto walked over to Hazuki and activated the Spore Technique.

A spore split off from Naruto’s body.

It instantly expanded and transformed into Naruto’s current appearance.

Naruto nodded toward the spore clone.

The spore clone gently touched Hazuki.

Hazuki looked puzzled but didn’t resist.

She only felt a portion of her chakra being drawn out of her body.

Although Hazuki wasn’t a shinobi, she was still a pure-blooded member of the Uchiha clan.

She had undergone ninja training as a child, so she naturally possessed chakra.

She simply lacked the talent to become a shinobi.

A short while later, after absorbing some of Hazuki’s chakra, the spore clone released her hand.

It then activated Transformation Mimicry!

The spore clone instantly transformed into Hazuki’s appearance!

Excellent!

Seeing this, Naruto nodded in satisfaction.

In the original story, White Zetsu had once used Transformation Mimicry to take Kisame’s form and replace him in a fake death.

Even the A-B combination hadn’t been able to detect the deception.

It was perfect for making a clean escape!

"Aunt Hazuki, excuse me."

Naruto then walked over to Hazuki, took her hand, and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique!

The scene before their eyes changed.

The two instantly appeared inside a small building in the Land of Waves.

It was one of the places where Naruto and Izumi usually stayed when they went out to earn bounty money.

"Space-Time Ninjutsu!"

Having suddenly appeared in another location, Hazuki’s pupils couldn’t help contracting.

The Uchiha clan naturally possessed extensive knowledge.

Hazuki had been born during the era when Minato Namikaze’s reputation was at its peak, so she naturally knew about Space-Time Ninjutsu!

"Yes. Please stay here for a while, Aunt Hazuki. I’ll bring Izumi here to see you when everything is over."

Naruto nodded and handed Hazuki the silver he had prepared beforehand.

"Izumi will be alright, won’t she?"

By now, Hazuki had mostly believed Naruto.
