Konoha: Let's Just Destroy It

Chapter 105: Naruto Gets Rich Overnight

Meanwhile.

In a secluded location somewhere in the Land of Waves.

After helping Zabuza wipe his body clean, Haku placed the towel into a basin and washed it thoroughly.

Kakashi’s attack had pierced straight through Zabuza’s chest.

Haku stared blankly at Zabuza and murmured softly,

"Zabuza... you have to wake up."

If not for a shinobi’s powerful physical constitution, Zabuza would have already been completely dead at the time.

Even though he had avoided a fatal blow, his injuries were still far too severe.

The Lightning Release current had coursed through his body, damaging quite a few of his internal organs.

Haku silently prayed for Zabuza for a while.

He picked up the bandages and was just about to wrap Zabuza’s cleaned wounds.

Suddenly—

A figure appeared out of thin air!

"Who?!"

Sensing something unusual, Haku quickly grabbed the senbon on the table.

Then his pupils contracted.

The figure that had appeared out of nowhere was holding a kunai against the unconscious Zabuza’s neck.

Haku was instantly horrified.

"Don’t hurt Zabuza!"

Naruto, who had disguised himself, spoke.

"Help me with something, and I’ll let him go."

Hearing this, Haku immediately nodded repeatedly.

"As long as you don’t hurt Zabuza, I’ll agree to anything!"

Naruto nodded slightly.

"Take me to Kado."

"Kado?"

The instant he heard Kado’s name, Haku’s pupils suddenly contracted.

He had never expected that the mysterious person before him had come specifically because of Kado.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"What? Can’t you?"

Kado wasn’t difficult to find, but Naruto was currently staying with Team 7. He didn’t have the time to search for him, nor could he be bothered to.

Haku and Zabuza were the fastest way.

On the surface, Kado was the president of Kado Company, which operated a shipping business.

Behind the scenes, however, he was an evil businessman who used gangs and shinobi to smuggle drugs and contraband.

For the past year, Kado had controlled the shipping industry of the Land of Waves, making the already impoverished country suffer terribly.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have thought of building a bridge to the Land of Fire in the first place, hoping to stimulate the economy through transportation and trade.

But there was no denying that Kado was one of the richest men in the shinobi world.

The fact that he could be described as one of the "few" richest people was enough to show just how wealthy he was.

He might not have been rich enough to rival an entire country, but he was close.

He couldn’t compare to the Daimyo of the Land of Fire, but he was definitely richer than the Daimyo of the Land of Sound.

The Daimyo of the Land of Sound could afford to provide Orochimaru’s Sound Village with funding.

That meant Kado had more than enough wealth to do the same.

Naruto simply hadn’t thought of Kado before.

Kado had only arrived in the Land of Waves within the past year or so.

Now that Naruto had come to the Land of Waves and heard Kado’s name, naturally he wasn’t going to let the opportunity slip away.

He might as well rob the rich to help the poor.

Kado wasn’t a good person anyway.

Naruto didn’t consider himself a good person either.

Kado exploited ordinary people, and Naruto wasn’t interested in bullying ordinary people.

So he would exploit Kado instead.

Coming back to his senses, Haku immediately nodded.

"Sure. I can take you to Kado."

After a pause, he glanced at Zabuza’s wounds before continuing,

"Give me some time to bandage Zabuza. I’ll take you there immediately."

Naruto glanced at Zabuza’s injuries.

Then he placed his left hand over the wound.

Haku’s heart tightened when he saw this.

A brilliant emerald-green light emerged from Naruto’s left hand.

Before long, Zabuza’s wounds began to slowly close.

"Chakra-enhanced Healing?"

Haku couldn’t help exclaiming in surprise.

Naruto glanced at him.

Chakra-enhanced Healing?

This wasn’t Chakra-enhanced Healing.

It was a special healing chakra unique to the Uzumaki clan.

Its effects were even better than Chakra-enhanced Healing.

In the original story, no matter how severe the injury, taking a bite from Karin and absorbing the chakra within her body was enough to recover.

As for Sakura’s Chakra-enhanced Healing?

That could come later.

Seeing this, Haku thought he had disturbed Naruto and immediately covered his mouth with both hands.

But his eyes were filled with joy.

They even began to moisten with tears.

Naruto’s body instinctively shuddered.

As for this pair of inseparable male companions with their overflowing brotherly affection...

Forget it.

He wasn’t going to say anything.

A short while later, Zabuza’s wounds had recovered considerably.

Naruto stopped supplying chakra and looked at Haku.

He hadn’t come here to save anyone.

He had merely wanted Haku to feel reassured enough to lead him to Kado.

This was simply the price he was paying for Haku’s cooperation.

Seeing this, Haku said gratefully,

"Sir, please follow me."

He had already started calling him "Sir" and speaking respectfully.

Somewhere in the Land of Waves.

"Sir, Kado’s shipping company branch in the Land of Waves is just ahead. Kado is usually inside."

Haku pointed toward a relatively magnificent building in front of them.

Naruto nodded.

"You have a way to see Kado, right?"

"Of course. I can take you inside."

Haku was very cooperative.

He led Naruto to the entrance and told the guards that he was one of Zabuza’s men and had come to report the progress of the mission to Kado.

Hearing this, the guards seemed to recognize Haku.

They nodded without asking any questions and directly led Haku and Naruto upstairs.

They soon arrived at a lavish office.

The moment Kado saw Haku, his expression turned displeased.

"Can you people actually complete the mission or not?

"Why haven’t you killed that old man yet?

"If you can’t do it, I’ll send people myself to deal with them!

"But don’t even think about getting a single ryo of the mission payment."

The shinobi world was a world with its own order.

Compared to the shinobi class, merchants actually held a slightly higher position.

Shinobi did not engage in production and relied on merchants to issue missions and provide mission payments.

Merchants, in turn, regarded shinobi as tools and weren’t particularly intimidated by their tremendous strength.

This relationship had existed for nearly a thousand years since the birth of shinobi.

Over time, it had become an unspoken understanding.

A rule.

That was why Kado wasn’t afraid of Haku in the slightest.

Nor was he afraid of Zabuza.

Haku said nothing.

He simply turned and glanced at Naruto, as though asking,

’This is Kado. Can I leave now?’

Naruto nodded.

Having received permission, Haku immediately used the Body Flicker Technique and left.

Kado froze for a moment.

Naruto didn’t say anything.

His eyes transformed into a pair of crimson Mangekyo Sharingan.

His right-eye ability activated.

Kotoamatsukami!

Kado, who had been furious just moments earlier, immediately fell into a daze.

Then he respectfully said,

"Sir, what are your orders?"

Several hours later.

Naruto had another anonymous bank account from the Land of Fire in his possession.

It was an account Kado used to store his illicit money.

Naruto was still shocked by the number displayed on the account.

Nearly ten billion ryo.

And that was merely cash.

Kado also possessed businesses and assets spread throughout the shinobi world.

Then there were the working funds tied up in his legitimate businesses.

If all the money were withdrawn and all the assets sold off, the total would easily reach tens of billions.

He might not have been rich enough to rival an entire country.

But he was certainly close.

It was said that the Daimyo of the Land of Sound only provided around one billion ryo in funding to Orochimaru’s Sound Village each year.

That was far too much money!

After hearing Kado’s complete report on his assets, Naruto couldn’t bring himself to kill the goose that laid the golden eggs.

He directly used another permanent Kotoamatsukami on Kado with his left eye.

He then made Kado abandon businesses involving drug trafficking and other activities that excessively harmed ordinary people.

Kado would retain only relatively legitimate businesses, such as shipping and the smuggling of weapons—shinobi tools, weapons, and the like.

From now on, Kado would be Naruto’s personal money bag.

Naruto might not be a good person, but he still disdained making money through unjust businesses such as drug trafficking, kidnapping, and human trafficking.

What Kado had done in the past was in the past.

Now that Kado had become Naruto’s subordinate, he could give those things up.

What?

Smuggling weapons wasn’t a legitimate business?

By helping smaller shinobi villages obtain ninja tools, wouldn’t those villages be grateful beyond words?

Naruto now felt like he was practically a good person.

He had wasted a use of Kotoamatsukami just to persuade Kado to change his ways.

Did Kado even know how much less money he would make after giving up his illegal businesses?

Naruto didn’t think about it any further.

He put the anonymous account into his pocket and activated the Flying Thunder God, returning to the bridge in the Land of Waves.

At the same time, he dispelled his Shadow Clone.

After receiving the clone’s memories and confirming that nothing had gone wrong, Naruto nodded in satisfaction.

Hinata, who had kept her Byakugan activated and secretly observed everything, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

With dark circles under her eyes, she finally settled down and fell asleep.
