Chapter 110: Chapter 110: take pics
The moment they stepped inside the boutique, two well-dressed attendants approached with polished smiles.
"Welcome. How may we assist you today?"
Kate answered without hesitation.
"We’re looking for cute dresses."
One of the attendants gave a small nod and gestured deeper into the store.
"This way, please."
They were led past carefully arranged displays until the dresses came into view—rows of delicate fabrics, soft colors, and deliberately short hemlines. Kate immediately began sorting through the racks with focused energy. After a moment she pulled one free and held it up against Amelia.
"This would look amazing on you."
Amelia studied the dress. The fabric was pretty enough, but the cut stopped well above mid-thigh.
"It looks a bit short."
Kate’s grin turned mischievous.
"That’s the point. So your partners can drool."
Amelia’s expression flattened.
"I’m not doing that."
Kate stepped closer and caught her by the shoulders.
"Stop. You’re here to enjoy yourself. So enjoy it. Show your partners that you’re actually having a good time—and let yourself have a good time too. You only get one life. What’s wrong with spending their money?"
Amelia mind wavered at her words.
Kate didn’t give her time to argue further. She pulled a pretty dress from the rack, pressed it into Amelia’s hands, and steered her firmly toward the fitting area in the corner.
"Hurry up."
The curtain closed behind her with a soft swish.
Amelia stood alone for a moment, staring down at the dress. Something else stirred in her chest—small yet restless. She exhaled, set her bag aside, and began changing. The fabric settled lightly against her skin. When she was ready, she drew a slow breath and stepped back out.
Kate’s eyes lit up at once.
"You look so good." She turned toward Skye, still holding the phone. "Doesn’t she look good?"
Skye’s gaze flicked over Amelia once. "She’s okay."
Kate ignored the flat tone, snapped a quick picture, then held out another dress.
"Try this one next."
Amelia took it with a small nod and disappeared behind the curtain again.
The moment she was gone, Kate’s attention locked fully on Skye. Her voice dropped. "What exactly is your problem? Your bad mood is ruining the vibe of this entire place."
Skye didn’t look up from her phone. "Just act like I’m invisible."
Kate’s eyes narrowed. "Why are you acting like this?"
"Like what?"
"Like some jealous bitch."
Skye’s jaw ticked. She lifted her gaze slowly. "What did you just call me?"
Kate didn’t back down.
"I noticed you weren’t even happy when you delivered the news to Amelia in the first place. And you’ve been trying to kill every bit of hope she has about getting closer to her partners."
"What I said is the truth."
"I know you’re lying." Kate stepped closer. "Something is off about you. And I’m going to find out what."
Skye’s expression hardened. "Fuck off before I do something you’ll regret."
Kate started to step back—then she caught a faint, familiar scent clinging to Skye’s clothes. Her eyes sharpened. "I recognize that perfume. It’s the kind people use when they don’t want anyone smelling another person’s scent on them."
Skye’s body stiffened.
Before either of them could speak again, Amelia’s voice came from behind.
"Kate I am dressed—Is something wrong?"
Kate’s entire demeanor flipped in an instant. She turned with a bright, easy smile.
"Skye just gave me a great idea. It would be perfect to send some pretty pictures to your partners—really rile them up."
Amelia stammered, heat already climbing her neck.
Kate held out her hand. "Phone."
"I barely even chat with them—"
"That’s about to change. Now go back in there and take a nice selfie." Kate’s voice dropped into something mischievous.
"And when I say nice, I mean the kind of photo that makes their cocks throb the second they open it—something so soft and tempting they’ll be hard before they even finish looking."
"Kateee—"
Kate gave her a firm push back behind the curtain before she could finish protesting. The moment Amelia disappeared, Kate’s smile vanished. She turned back to Skye with a slow, sly smirk.
"There are only two reasons someone covers their scent like that. Either you’re intimate with someone’s partner... or you’re intimate with another woman."
Skye let out a short, dismissive laugh. "You’re speaking nonsense."
Kate tilted her head.
"You don’t know me. But I’ll let you know I’m an excellent detective. And I’ve noticed how your face turns sour every time you look back at your phone." Her voice softened into something almost mocking. "What happened? The woman isn’t interested in you anymore?"
Skye’s expression flashed with sharp anger. For a second it looked like she might snap—then she forced it down, smoothed it over, and let out a short scoff.
"Nice try. You can’t rile me up. My partner adores me."
Kate’s eyes narrowed with quiet satisfaction.
"You’re lying again. And you sound guilty while you’re at it—like you’re doing something you know you’re not supposed to be doing. Just spill it. Your mind really wants to."
Skye stared right back at her, completely unsettled. She just couldn’t wrap her head around how this girl kept cutting straight through every single defensive wall she put up.
The curtain rustled. Amelia stepped out, breaking the tension before it could thicken further. She gave a small, self-conscious twirl.
"I really like this one."
She glanced between them, confusion flickering across her face as she registered the charged silence.
Kate’s entire demeanor flipped again. She beamed.
"I love it. Now it’s time for the perfect photo shoot."
She took Amelia by the wrist and guided her over to a soft, pretty backdrop of pale fabric and muted lighting. Once she had her in place, she stepped back and gestured.
"Pose."
Amelia stood stiffly, arms awkward at her sides.
Kate sighed. "Haven’t you ever seen cute model poses?"
"I don’t know how to do any of that."
Kate moved forward without hesitation. She adjusted Amelia’s posture tilting her hips, guiding one shoulder back, showing her exactly how to arch her body into something softer. Then she stepped away again.
Amelia’s face tightened almost immediately. "I’m feeling a cramp."
"Hold it," Kate ordered. "And give me a nice face."
Amelia tried to smile.
Kate grimaced.
"You look like someone holding down a shit."
