Seeing this, he switched to playing a War Song to bolster their morale.

Faint glimmers of light fell upon Duraga and the Gray Dwarves, barely enough to keep them from collapsing in an instant.

Across the entire battlefield, the only one who could still hold her own, and even mount an effective counterattack, was Avril.

The Elf Ranger’s figure weaved through the ruins like the wind. She was so fast she left behind a Residual Shadow, and the Bowstring of her Enchanted Longbow hardly ever stilled.

Three Arrows flew in a triangular formation toward an enemy that was raising an Energy warhammer.

The Piercing Runes enchanted on the Arrows took effect, successfully embedding themselves in the enemy’s body and interrupting its attack.

However, there was no joy in Avril’s eyes, only deep solemnity.

She could feel an unusually tough resistance from the Arrows, as if she had shot not flesh and blood, but an incredibly dense alloy.

The enemy brought both blades down in a crisscross slash, leaving its chest wide open.

The bow was drawn like a full moon, the arrow like a shooting star.

An Arrow, incredibly condensed and wreathed in spiraling emerald and silver Energy, shot forth like the dawn piercing the Darkness. At a speed surpassing all her previous attacks, it instantly pierced the ember-light core in the enemy’s chest.

The enemy’s forward charge froze. The light of its "face" flickered violently, and the cracks on its body spread rapidly as dark red light spilled out of control.

Finally, with a low hum like a collapsing Energy structure, it crashed to the ground. Its body shattered into countless dull, black fragments, and the light in its core was completely extinguished.
