Kinky Temptation
Chapter 205 alt
In the dusty courtyard of the palace barracks, amidst the clatter of sparring soldiers and the stench of sweat and oiled leather, two figures stood apart, radiating tension. Ysabel, tall and imposing in her armor stood rigid, hands clenched at her sides.
Opposite was Caelith, her usual liveliness replaced by a raw vulnerability. The sun beat down, highlighting the sharp lines of their faces.
"Why?" Caelith demanded, her voice thick with emotion she rarely showed. "That's all I want to know, Ysabel! Why did you do it? Why did you push me away after…" Her voice cracked, unable to finish.
Ysabel avoided her gaze and stared off towards the training yard where soldiers were going through drills, the rhythmic clanking sounds of metal a jarring counterpoint to the heavy silence between them.
"It… it just wasn't right," Ysabel said finally, her voice strained. "I made a mistake. It shouldn't have happened."
"A mistake?" Caelith breathed. "Is that what I was to you? A mistake?!" She stepped closer, voice dropping to a fierce whisper. "After everything you said? After how you held me? Was it all a lie too?"
Ysabel flinched before closing her eyes, and Caelith's image appeared, bathed in moonlight, trusting and open. Then Lyssandra's face emerged over the memory, her cruel smirk, her overwhelming presence, her terrifying yet intoxicating allure. All of it made Ysabel's heart clench painfully.
Caelith wasn't that woman. She was softness, kindness, devotion. She was safe. And that was the problem.
"I didn't lie!" Ysabel snapped, her voice harsher than she intended. She opened her eyes, finally meeting Caelith's wounded gaze. "I just… I can't give you what you need. What you deserve. It wouldn't be fair."
"Fair?" Caelith's voice rose, trembling. "To whom? Me? Or you? I've seen how you look at me!" she spat, the words bursting out like an accusation.
Ysabel went still, a chilling silence descending. "What?" she asked, her voice suddenly dangerously quiet.
"Me!" Caelith shouted, flinging an arm towards herself. "That was not me you was looking! I saw it in your eyes! That… hunger! You wanted someone else! That's it, isn't it? I'm just a pathetic replacement because you can't have that person!"
A white-hot flash of fury surged through Ysabel, mixed with a shame so deep it made her nauseous.
"How dare you!" she hissed before advancing on Caelith, using her height to tower over her. "Don't you ever speak to me like that ever again! You know nothing!"
Caelith didn't retreat, tears shining in her eyes but refusing to fall. She stared back, her face a mask of devastation. "Then tell me! Explain! I thought… I thought we finally had a chance…" Her voice cracked again.
The words hung heavy in the air. The clatter of soldiers nearby faded into the background. Ysabel stood rigid, her breathing ragged, trapped between the woman she yearned for and the one she'd used.
Her ego, that fierce, prideful part that had served her well in command now became her prison. To admit the truth – that Caelith was right, that she was still obsessed with the other person, that she was too cowardly and broken to give her heart to someone else. And Ysabel did not want to admit weakness.
So instead, she did what she had always done. She wielded words like weapons.
"It's over, Caelith," she said, her voice flat and final. "There is no 'chance'. I don't have feelings for you. It was an indulgence. A momentary lapse in judgment. Let it go. We are soldiers and comrade. Nothing more."
Caelith recoiled, color draining from her face. She stared at Ysabel, the pain in her eyes turning to disbelief, then slowly to resignation. The silence stretched, taut and unbearable.
"I see," Caelith whispered.
Her shoulders slumped, the fierce warrior momentarily defeated by a far more intimate battle. Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Ysabel standing alone in the courtyard.
Ysabel watched her go, feeling a hollow ache in her chest. She had meant to apologize, she had meant to make things right. However, she had destroyed the last shred of hope between them. She turned towards the training soldiers, face a mask of stone, but her eyes held a new depth of sorrow.
This was a different kind of scar. One she hadn't intended, but had inflicted nonetheless.

Deep within the royal palace, in the ornate chambers assigned to the Third Princess Rosalinda, a soft knock echoed at the heavy door.
Rosalinda, sitting cross-legged on her luxurious bed in a delicate, almost transparent nightgown, blinked in surprise.
"Come in," she called out, voice still thick with sleep.
The door swung open, and Ysabel stood there in the doorway. Her face was flushed an alarming red, her usually stern expression crumpled.
Tears streamed down her cheeks, tracking through the dirt smudges left by the day's training. Her armor was gone, replaced by simple sleepwear hastily thrown on, the laces askew. She took a stumbling step forward, then stopped, her gaze fixed desperately on Rosalinda.
"Y-Ysabel? What's wrong? Why are you… your face…" Rosalinda stammered, pushing the silk covers aside while she scrambled off the bed to take a tentative step towards.
"D-Don't… don't say anything," Ysabel choked out. She took another halting step towards Rosalinda, her arms opening wide in a gesture of pure, desperate need.
"Just… I just want to be somewhere safe… for a moment. Please…" Her eyes were wide, pleading, filled with an anguish Rosalinda had never seen there before.
"Um… okay?" Rosalinda said hesitantly, unsure how to handle this sudden vulnerability from the always stoic guard. She awkwardly lifted her own arms in response, stepping forward to meet the hug.
But Ysabel didn't embrace her properly. As Rosalinda closed the distance, Ysabel suddenly ducked, collapsing to her knees before the princess. Her arms wrapped tight not around Rosalinda's waist, but around her thighs, burying her face firmly in the princess's crotch.
"M-Mistress!" Ysabel sobbed, the words muffled against the sheer fabric of Rosalinda's nightgown. Her breath was hot through the thin material.
Ysabel turned her head, rubbing her wet cheek against the small thighs, her lips brushing tantalizingly close to the rigid metal of the chastity cage imprisoning the princess's private part.
