Chapter 554 552: Submitting to a Single Sword

Under the watch of the bearded man and his companions, the members of the Qiu Yue Kingdom's Royal Family crossed into the territory of the Azure Cloud Kingdom.

Just then, the bearded man noticed a figure in the sky behind them. He focused his gaze and saw it was Luo Tian.

'He's not dead?'

The bearded man was in disbelief.

Luo Tian had gone to the Qiu Yue Kingdom all by himself. 'Even if he wasn't killed, he should have at least been gravely injured and forced to flee.'

But now, Luo Tian looked completely unscathed as he watched the departing members of the Qiu Yue Royal Family.

He gave off the impression of a farmer herding his livestock, driving them to a designated location.

'Could it be... that the Qiu Yue Kingdom... lost?'

'The Qiu Yue Kingdom lost to a single person?'

The bearded man stood frozen in place as if struck by lightning.

By the time the bearded man came to his senses, Luo Tian was gone. He didn't know if Luo Tian had continued to follow the high-ranking members of the Qiu Yue Royal Family or had gone somewhere else.

...

When the upper echelons of the Qiu Yue Royal Family entered the borders of the Azure Cloud Kingdom, they also alerted the army stationed there.

They too were shocked by the scene before them.

'What in the world happened?'

"We are here to surrender to the Azure Cloud Kingdom."

"Please have the Azure Cloud Monarch, Li Yunxiu, come and govern the Qiu Yue Kingdom."

The words of the Qiu Yue Royal Family's leaders left the Azure Cloud Kingdom's army dumbfounded, unsure how to react for a moment.

Normally, they would be thrilled by an enemy's surrender. But under these circumstances, the soldiers of the Azure Cloud Kingdom couldn't believe it was real.

Eventually, under the escort of the entire army, the Qiu Yue Royal Family arrived outside the Azure Cloud Royal Capital and met with Monarch Li Yunxiu.

Since becoming the Monarch, Li Yunxiu had grown accustomed to grand scenes and had become calm and composed.

Yet even she was stunned by the sight before her. It took her a long moment to process it and accept the surrender of the Qiu Yue Royal Family.

Li Yunxiu knew this was all because of Luo Tian.

'But why didn't he come back?' Li Yunxiu couldn't help but wonder.

...

「Qingyue Kingdom.」

Neighbor to the Qiu Yue Kingdom.

They were naturally aware of the major events that had transpired in Qiu Yue Kingdom.

Inside a magnificent palace hall.

Several of Qingyue Kingdom's ministers and the Green Moon State Master were gathered here.

"What exactly happened in the Qiu Yue Kingdom?"

"The specifics are still unknown. The only thing we know for sure is that the entire upper echelon of the Qiu Yue Royal Family has surrendered to the Azure Cloud Kingdom!"

"Has the Qiu Yue Royal Family gone completely mad?"

Qingyue Kingdom's ministers fell silent.

The Qingyue Kingdom, the Qiu Yue Kingdom, and three other kingdoms had formed a joint pact.

Now, the fall of the Qiu Yue Kingdom made the Qingyue Kingdom feel a palpable sense of shared vulnerability.

"Have you come to any conclusions?"

A man in a Dragon Robe strode in from outside the hall. His face was grim and his gaze was cold and heavy—he was the Monarch of Qingyue Kingdom!

"Your Majesty, we still don't know the specifics of the situation, so it's difficult to formulate the right response..." the Green Moon State Master said respectfully.

"Then send out more spies! Find out everything that happened in the Qiu Yue Kingdom!" the man in the Dragon Robe barked coldly.

"Yes!"

The Green Moon State Master and the ministers nodded repeatedly, not daring to utter another word.

In the Qingyue Kingdom, the Royal Family's position was secure, and this particular Monarch was fierce, domineering, and ruthless in his methods!

"Reporting! Prince Yu of the Qiu Yue Kingdom requests an audience!" a Guard shouted.

'Prince Yu of Qiu Yue Kingdom?'

"Let him in," the man in the Dragon Robe ordered.

A short while later, a somewhat disheveled middle-aged man was escorted in by the guards.

"Greetings, Monarch of Qingyue."

The disheveled middle-aged man immediately knelt and kowtowed.

"What on earth happened to your Qiu Yue Kingdom? Why did you suddenly surrender to the Azure Cloud Kingdom? Don't tell me you intend to betray our agreement?" the man in the Dragon Robe questioned coldly.

"We've been wronged! This is all because of... because of Luo Tian!"

The disheveled middle-aged man was terrified. As he spoke the two words "Luo Tian," a deep fear showed in his eyes!

"Luo Tian? He's back?"

The ministers of Qingyue Kingdom looked astonished.

The Azure Cloud Kingdom had originally been ranked at the bottom among the surrounding nations. But with Luo Tian's appearance, he installed Li Yunxiu as the Monarch, and afterward, the Azure Cloud Kingdom seemed to be reborn.

In just a few short years, the Azure Cloud Kingdom had surpassed several of its neighbors.

The disheveled middle-aged man then recounted everything that had happened at the Qiu Yue Kingdom's Imperial Palace to the upper echelons of Qingyue Kingdom.

He had originally been in the procession of those surrendering but had found a chance to slip away en route.

The leaders of Qingyue Kingdom found his story outlandish and even suspected the disheveled man was making it all up.

A single person annihilated Qiu Yue.

'How is that possible? We're not three-year-olds; we won't believe something so easily.'

"It's all true! That Luo Tian... he's a demon!" the disheveled middle-aged man said, anxious and panicked.

'I'm telling the truth, but no one in Qingyue believes me!'

In truth, the upper echelons of the Qingyue Royal Family were simply unwilling to accept this terrifying reality.

They believed Luo Tian must have had help.

Even so, what Luo Tian had accomplished was extraordinary.

"This is bad, Your Majesty!"

The Green Moon State Master suddenly spoke, his expression grave. "Luo Tian has returned because he must have learned that the Azure Cloud Kingdom was being bullied. He's here for revenge!"

The first was Qiu Yue Kingdom.

That means the second, or the third, will very likely be us, the Qingyue Kingdom!

After all, the Qingyue Kingdom had indeed bullied the Azure Cloud Kingdom!

"Quick, send word to the other Three Kingdoms and inform them of this!" the man in the Dragon Robe shouted.

"Also, inform that person from the Chilong Dynasty and ask him for help..." the man in the Dragon Robe added.

After arranging everything, the high-ranking officials of Qingyue Kingdom present all breathed a small sigh of relief.

Thankfully, they had learned the details from Qiu Yue Kingdom's Prince Yu. Otherwise, by the time Luo Tian actually arrived to kill them, it would be too late.

After all, if Luo Tian could destroy the Qiu Yue Kingdom, he could also destroy the Qingyue Kingdom.

Just then, a Guard hurried in and knelt on the ground. "Greetings, Monarch of Qingyue! Luo Tian of the Azure Cloud Kingdom is heading for the Qingyue Royal Capital!"

At these words, everyone present stared wide-eyed in astonishment.

'Luo Tian is already on his way?'

'That's way too fast!'

"Where is he now?" the man in the Dragon Robe demanded.

"He is less than a day away from the Royal Capital."

The hall instantly fell silent!

In less than a day, Luo Tian would be here!

It seemed it was too late to ask the other Three Kingdoms for reinforcements now.

"Your Majesty, that lord from the Chilong Dynasty has replied! He said he has already informed 'Hu Fei' of the situation and that if you encounter any problems, you can go directly to Hu Fei!" a Guard said.

"Good!"

The man in the Dragon Robe let out a small sigh of relief.

He had met Hu Fei before. That man was a Middle Tier Earth Level Martial Artist at the Earth Element Realm Fourth Layer!

He had heard that Hu Fei came here to persuade the Black Wind Demon King in the Celestial Extreme Mountain Range!

"Once Lord Hu Fei persuades the Black Wind Demon King, no matter how strong Luo Tian is, he will die!"

The Green Moon State Master's face lit up with joy!

Prince Yu also smiled.

As long as Luo Tian was dead, the Qingyue Kingdom and the other four nations could pressure the Azure Cloud Kingdom to free the Qiu Yue Kingdom. They could even use this opportunity to annex the Azure Cloud Kingdom in one fell swoop.

The Qingyue Monarch sent someone to contact Hu Fei, but there was no reply, which made the upper echelons of the Qingyue Royal Family a little uneasy.

Half a day passed.

Astonishing news suddenly spread through the Qingyue Imperial Palace, causing a huge commotion!

Luo Tian had already reached the Royal Capital!

"Didn't they say it would take him a day to get here? How did he arrive so quickly?"

When the man in the Dragon Robe heard this news, he flew into a rage, his heart filled with panic.

This was entirely because the intelligence agents had misjudged Luo Tian's Cultivation.

In reality, Luo Tian had traveled to the Qingyue Kingdom at a leisurely pace. Even so, from the Qingyue Kingdom's perspective, his speed was still far too fast.

"Gather all forces! Prepare for battle!" the man in the Dragon Robe ordered.

The entire Imperial Palace bustled with activity as all military forces were gathered and numerous experts were summoned!

Watching this scene, the disheveled middle-aged man felt a sense of deja vu.

It was just like what happened in the Qiu Yue Kingdom.

'It's over, it's all over!'

The disheveled middle-aged man sighed, preparing to find a chance to slip away.

Suddenly!

An invisible, oppressive aura spread out, and everyone in the Qingyue Imperial Palace looked up toward the distant sky!

Luo Tian had arrived!

"The Azure Cloud Monarch, Li Yunxiu, was attacked by an assassin. Does your Qingyue Kingdom have any evidence to prove your innocence?"

Luo Tian's cold voice echoed between heaven and earth!

"Qingyue Kingdom knows nothing about any assassin! Luo Tian, don't you dare frame us!" the man in the Dragon Robe said in a heavy voice.

The cold-faced middle-aged man had been sent by the Qiu Yue Kingdom. The Qingyue Kingdom truly had not participated in the assassination attempt on the Azure Cloud Monarch!

"It seems you can't produce any evidence. In that case, you will all go to the Azure Cloud Kingdom and apologize to Li Yunxiu!"

Luo Tian's attitude was cold, his words stunning!

"Nonsense!"

"This has nothing to do with us! Why should we apologize?"

The Qingyue Royal Family was in an uproar.

"Luo Tian, I suggest you get lost! Hu Fei of the Chilong Dynasty has already reached an agreement with the Black Wind Demon King of the Celestial Extreme Mountain Range, and they are on their way here. When they arrive, you won't be able to leave even if you want to!"

The man in the Dragon Robe sneered, looking as if victory was already in his grasp.

'Hu Fei? Black Wind Demon King? So that old man was from the Chilong Dynasty,' Luo Tian realized.

The upper echelons of Qingyue Kingdom were puzzled when they saw this.

'Has Luo Tian already met Hu Fei?'

From the looks of it, Luo Tian didn't seem to regard Hu Fei as a threat at all.

"Luo Tian, it's good that you know of Hu Fei. He is a Middle Tier Earth Element Realm expert, and right now..."

The man in the Dragon Robe feigned composure, preparing to continue intimidating Luo Tian to buy more time.

Just then, Luo Tian suddenly drew his Treasure Sword and slashed down!

SWOOSH!

The wild winds of heaven and earth gathered, swirling around a hundred-meter-long, pale-gray Sword Light that chopped down violently!

Its terrifying aura made everyone in the Imperial Palace feel as if they were facing a doomsday catastrophe, making them feel their own insignificance, helplessness, and despair!

BOOM! RUMBLE!

The sword fell, and a chasm-like ravine appeared in the center of the Imperial Palace.

Ten grand halls in a row were split in two by this single strike!

Luo Tian couldn't be bothered with nonsense. With one slash, he stunned the entire crowd. Everyone stood like statues, their faces filled with horror!

The man in the Dragon Robe was scared witless and didn't dare say another word.

Luo Tian's attack didn't cause many casualties.

But one person's body was torn to pieces, as dead as could be. It was the disheveled middle-aged man who had fled from the Qiu Yue Royal Family's procession.

"Lord Luo, I'll go apologize right away!"

The man in the Dragon Robe forced a smile and said cheerfully.

"This wasn't Qingyue Kingdom's doing, but it's certainly related to our allies. We also bear some responsibility and need to apologize."

"That's right, we'll go apologize to Li Yunxiu right now."

And so, the scene that had unfolded in the Qiu Yue Kingdom now played out in the Qingyue Kingdom as well.

"Hurry up," Luo Tian ordered coldly.

Of the Five Nations alliance, he had only dealt with two so far.

"Don't just stand there gawking, keep up."

The man in the Dragon Robe immediately shouted, and the upper echelons of the Qingyue Royal Family also began their journey to the Azure Cloud Kingdom.
