Chapter 416 414: Necromancer Thief Gang

"Oh no... Ahead is a natural disaster of the Outer Void—the Chaotic Wind Flow!"

Yan Lihui cried out in shock.

"Chaotic Wind Flow?"

Luo Tian, Yi Jingwen, and Yan Xiaoxia had never heard of it before.

"The Outer Void is filled with void wind flows. In most places, a martial artist at the First Layer of the Earth Element Realm can easily withstand them!"

"But with the 'Chaotic Wind Flow,' if someone at the First Layer of the Earth Element Realm gets too close, they'll be sliced to pieces in an instant..."

In the Broken-star Realm, the Chaotic Wind Flow was considered a natural disaster that was nearly impossible to withstand. Most thief gangs and merchant caravans took a detour when they encountered it.

Once caught inside, the chance of survival was less than thirty percent.

Yan Lihui had been traveling throughout the Outer World for several years, but this was his first time encountering the Chaotic Wind Flow. He couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

Luo Tian stared into the distance.

The Chaotic Wind Flow was like an ordinary void wind flow, but far fiercer and denser, and it covered an enormous area.

"We must take a detour. If we get swept into the Chaotic Wind Flow, it'll be a disaster!"

Yan Lihui said gravely.

The Chaotic Wind Flow covered a vast area with no end in sight. The Void Ship wouldn't just have to detour; it would have to turn back.

Luo Tian's expression darkened slightly.

According to his calculations, the Purple Scale Race's pursuers would be upon them soon.

The Chaotic Wind Flow couldn't have appeared at a worse time.

If they turned back to take a detour, they would waste a lot of time and most likely be caught by the Purple Scale Race.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

Ahead, two Void Ships appeared, heading toward Luo Tian's group.

Of course, they were fleeing for their lives, chased by the turbulent void.

BOOM! CRACK!

Suddenly, the Defense Shield on one of the Void Ships shattered. The hull was immediately battered by the void wind flow, and several cracks appeared.

In less than three breaths, the broken Void Ship was devoured by the Chaotic Wind Flow.

The Dark Blue Void Ship Luo Tian was on began to turn around.

But Luo Tian suddenly spoke up. "Wait. Straight ahead!"

Yan Lihui, Yi Jingwen, and Yan Xiaoxia all stared at him in disbelief.

'Has Luo Tian gone blind?'

Even though their Void Ship had better performance, entering the Chaotic Wind Flow would still be a near-certain death sentence.

"The Purple Scale Race's pursuers are almost here. It's more dangerous to turn back and take a detour."

Luo Tian stated his reason.

"The Purple Scale Race?"

They were all quite fearful of the Purple Scale Race.

Faced with the true masters of the Purple Scale Race, they wouldn't stand a chance. Death would be certain.

Yi Jingwen already trusted Luo Tian's predictive abilities and didn't doubt him for a second.

After a long, conflicted moment, Yan Lihui ordered the Void Ship back on its original course.

And then, they charged head-on into the Chaotic Wind Flow!

The crew on the other fleeing Void Ship saw what Luo Tian's group was doing and were left dumbfounded, utterly incredulous.

"Do they have a death wish? They're intentionally charging into the void turbulence!"

"Look at the emblem on that sail. It's a Purple Scale Race vessel. Don't tell me there's a powerful expert on board, which is why they dare to face the Chaotic Wind Flow head-on?"

Inside the Void Ship, several Earth Level Martial Artists watched as the other Dark Blue Void Ship charged into the Chaotic Wind Flow.

But all they could do was flee for their lives, chased by the Chaotic Wind Flow.

Before long, they ran into another group. To their surprise, it was also the Purple Scale Race.

...

The moment Luo Tian's Void Ship entered the Chaotic Wind Flow, the entire vessel began to lurch violently.

Fierce currents battered the Defense Shield from all sides, creating a deafening roar.

The effect lessened slightly once the Void Ship slowed down.

"Hiding in the Chaotic Wind Flow should let us evade the Purple Scale Race. Slowing down is safer."

Yan Lihui said in a low voice.

Next, he focused all his energy on controlling the Dark Blue Void Ship, not daring to be the least bit careless.

Luo Tian soon discovered that within the Chaotic Wind Flow, the currents were average in some areas but terrifyingly powerful in others. Even a Middle Tier Earth Element Realm martial artist probably wouldn't last more than a few breaths in the latter.

If the Void Ship could stick to the regions with weaker currents, there wouldn't be any major problems.

But the winds within the Chaotic Wind Flow could only be described as "chaotic." They were unpredictable, with no discernible pattern.

Yan Lihui was purely relying on his observation skills and intuition to control the Void Ship.

BOOM!

At one point, the Void Ship accidentally strayed into a region of powerful currents. The hull immediately began to shake, the Defense Shield thinned rapidly, and the consumption of Spiritual Essence Coins doubled.

Cold sweat beaded on Yan Lihui's forehead. He immediately maneuvered the Void Ship into a relatively stable area.

Yi Jingwen and Yan Xiaoxia were incredibly nervous just watching from the side.

'Be careful! One wrong move and it could all be over!'

Yan Lihui glanced back at his sister and warned himself.

"Brother Yan, let me do it!"

Luo Tian suddenly spoke.

"You?"

Yan Lihui's voice was filled with disbelief.

'Luo Tian is a newcomer to the Outer World who doesn't even know the basics. Is he planning to steer us straight into our graves?'

There was a hint of resentment in Yan Lihui's voice.

'If it hadn't been for Luo Tian's decision, they wouldn't be in this dangerous mess.'

Yan Lihui refused.

Unexpectedly, Luo Tian directly pushed him aside and took the helm himself!

"Are you trying to get us all killed?" Yan Lihui was somewhat angry.

'Normally, it wouldn't matter if Luo Tian wanted to mess around. But with the situation so critical, Luo Tian was just making things worse. He was starting to regret agreeing to Luo Tian's invitation.'

However, once Luo Tian took the helm, the disaster Yan Lihui expected never happened.

A faint cyan light emanated from Luo Tian's deep, mysterious eyes. He stared ahead, unnaturally calm, and his demeanor inspired an unconscious sense of trust and relief.

'How can this be? The Void Ship is staying completely within the areas of weaker currents...'

Yan Lihui was stunned.

Yan Xiaoxia and Yi Jingwen were just as astonished.

None of them noticed that there was a faint cyan eye at the center of Luo Tian's brow.

After the Creation Technique broke through to the Third-Layer.

Not only could Luo Tian manifest his Celestial Eye, but he also gained a simple sense for avoiding danger and finding safety.

Luo Tian had a vague, internal sense of where the danger was greater. Combined with his keen powers of observation, the Void Ship moved like a nimble fish in his hands, weaving and turning to avoid every peril in its path.

'Even though I'm only using thirty or forty percent of the Celestial Eye's power, I can't maintain this for long...'

Luo Tian murmured inwardly.

'But this is enough. If I take the helm every now and then, we can reduce the strain on the ship and greatly increase our chances of getting through the Chaotic Wind Flow.'

「An hour passed.」

Luo Tian's spiritual energy was heavily drained, so he switched places with Yan Lihui.

With Yan Lihui back at the helm, the ship's jolting and energy consumption increased. It was nowhere near as stable as it had been under Luo Tian's control.

As a veteran traveler of the Outer World, Yan Lihui couldn't help but blush a little.

Suddenly, a massive shadow emerged from the gray, chaotic currents, emanating a chilling Ghost Qi.

"Hmm? What's that?"

Luo Tian, who was resting on the side, noticed something and looked up.

"A Void Ship?"

Yan Lihui identified it.

There was another Void Ship navigating the Chaotic Wind Flow!

'We were forced into this... could that Void Ship have been, too?'

But in the next instant, Yan Lihui saw the flag at the top of the Void Ship: a ferocious, black skull painted on a white background.

"The Undead Thieves!"

Yan Lihui was so startled his hands trembled on the helm.

"The Undead Thieves?"

Luo Tian and Yi Jingwen looked puzzled.

"You two really don't know anything, do you!"

"In the vast Broken-star Realm, there are the Seven Great Legendary Thief Gangs. Their power is overwhelming, and they rampage across the stars, leaving countless brutal legends in their wake... Even the Purple Scale Race has to obediently offer them tribute!"

Yan Lihui's expression was incredibly tense.

The Undead Thieves were one of those Seven Great Legendary Thief Gangs.

'It makes sense. Only the Necromancer Thief Gang would dare to traverse the Chaotic Wind Flow. We were completely forced into this.'

"What are the Undead Thieves doing in the Chaotic Wind Flow?" Luo Tian wondered.

"Could they be here to hunt for treasure?"

Yan Lihui recalled some rumors.

"I once heard that a powerful expert found a powerful Profound Artifact in the Chaotic Wind Flow..."

"Also, among the Seven Great Legendary Thief Gangs, the leader of the Ghost Serpent Thief Gang was once swallowed by the Chaotic Wind Flow but unexpectedly obtained a treasure left by some Great Power, later becoming the fearsome Ghost Serpent Leader..."

Some have speculated that the Chaotic Wind Flow is caused by certain treasures, which create an anomaly in the void wind flow that gradually evolves into this phenomenon.

The rumors were tempting, but not many people had the courage to go treasure hunting in the Chaotic Wind Flow.

After hearing Yan Lihui's explanation, Luo Tian had no such intention.

'Treasure hunting depends on whether you have the strength for it.'

'We're being chased by the Purple Scale Race, and now the Undead Thieves are here too. Even if we found a treasure, could we possibly win it?'

...

On the black Void Ship that reeked of Ghost Qi.

Inside a spacious, dark room.

Several figures with powerful, intimidating auras sat scattered around the room. They were the upper echelon of this Void Ship.

"Still haven't found it."

"The Chaotic Wind Flow covers too large an area, and we can't travel at full speed. It's too hard to find!"

"Treasures in the chaotic turbulence are found by chance, not by searching!"

A tone of frustration colored their conversation.

Just then, a noisy clamor erupted outside.

"You all talk. I'll go see what's happening outside," an enchanting woman in a red dress said as she rose gracefully.

「At the stern of the ship.」

Several thieves were watching the Dark Blue Void Ship behind them.

"A Void Ship in distress? How pitiful!"

"How about we make a bet on how long this Void Ship can last in the Chaotic Wind Flow! The bet is ten thousand Spiritual Essence Coins!"

A burly man, his gambling addiction kicking in, said excitedly.

"I'm bored anyway. I bet they... won't last fifteen minutes before they're buried here!"

A thief walked over, grinning.

"This ship looks decent. I bet half an hour!" another person shouted.

"What are you betting on?"

A charming woman in red, her figure alluring, walked over slowly.

Her figure and face were the very picture of temptation, but all the thieves present reined in their lust, stood ramrod straight, and respectfully shouted in unison, "Vice-Captain!"

"We're not betting on anything!"

The burly man hastily explained.

This vice-captain of theirs was an avid gambler herself, and with a wickedly sharp eye. Whenever she joined a bet, she almost always came out the winner.

The woman in red came to the ship's rail. Her gaze pierced through the Chaotic Wind Flow, and she saw a Dark Blue Void Ship not far behind them.

She pondered for a moment, then said, "I bet, two hours!"

"Two hours?"

The thieves exchanged glances. None of them believed the Void Ship could last that long.

'Is the vice-captain, with her famously sharp judgment, going to be wrong this time?'
