Chapter 63 — The Man Named Spikey

Birol, Gyro, and Brine stood in front of Juyew’s prison cell. Juyew was lying on the ground, still recovering from the injuries he had suffered during his battle with Kil Ful.

The prison was specially designed to hold powerful criminals. Juyew’s body was secured with magical nullifier chains that were supposed to prevent him from using his abilities.

After some time, his fingers began to move. Slowly, he opened his eyes and regained consciousness.

He looked around, confused. Then he remembered what had happened on the battlefield.

"NO! THIS ISN’T POSSIBLE!"

His voice echoed through the prison.

"HOW COULD I BE DEFEATED BY AN ELITE?!"

He clenched his fists.

"THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE!"

Suddenly, dark energy began leaking from his body. Even the magical nullifier chains couldn’t completely contain his Void Energy. The dark aura spread through the prison, making the guards step back.

But before the energy could grow any stronger, the temperature suddenly dropped.

The entire prison became freezing cold.

The guards stopped moving. Birol and Brine felt the sudden change in temperature. Even Juyew’s released Void Energy seemed to freeze in place.

It was Gyro.

He had released his own energy, and the pressure of it filled the entire area.

Gyro looked directly at Juyew and spoke coldly.

"Why did you kill the soldiers of Valtara?"

Juyew looked at him for a moment. Then a small smile appeared on his face.

"I will not tell you."

Gyro tightened his grip on his stick.

"Then perhaps you need a reminder of your situation."

He raised his stick and struck Juyew with a powerful attack.

Juyew’s already injured body was badly affected by the blow. He struggled to remain upright, but surprisingly, he continued smiling.

"That’s not a big deal," Juyew said.

He looked at the three men standing in front of him.

"The soldiers discovered information about my plan. That’s why I killed them."

Birol immediately stepped forward.

"What information? What exactly did they discover?"

Juyew turned his eyes toward Birol.

"I will not tell you. If you want, you can kill me."

Birol became furious. He withdrew his sword and prepared to strike.

But Gyro stopped him.

"Don’t kill him."

Birol looked at Gyro.

"Why?"

Gyro calmly explained, "He wants us to kill him. But we won’t give him an easy death. He will remain in prison for the rest of his life."

Gyro paused before continuing.

"And every time our kingdom holds a function or celebration, we will portray his defeat as our victory. Everyone will remember how Aurelia defeated him."

Juyew’s smile slowly disappeared.

Gyro turned away.

"Let’s go."

Birol and Brine followed him, leaving Juyew alone inside the prison cell.

At the Hospital

After leaving the prison, Gyro and the others headed toward the hospital.

When they arrived, they noticed Rony sitting outside one of the rooms. He looked tired, but he was relieved to see them.

Inside the room, Aaru was sitting beside Kil Ful.

Kil Ful had recovered enough to sit comfortably. However, something about his appearance was different.

His left eye was still covered in flames.

The fire didn’t seem to hurt him or affect his vision. It behaved just like an ordinary eye, except that it was permanently surrounded by flames.

Kil Ful looked at Aaru and started laughing.

"Aaru, you’re mine. Only mine. No one can separate us!"

Aaru smiled at him.

"Oh, my hero!"

The two continued smiling at each other.

Just then, Gyro, Birol, and Brine entered the room.

Gyro looked directly at Kil Ful’s left eye.

"So, Kil Ful... tell me about your Eye of Hell."

Kil Ful’s expression became serious for a moment.

"Alright. I’ll explain everything."

Somewhere Else — Maddy

Meanwhile, Maddy was still standing in the dark, deserted place.

He had heard the mysterious voice, but he didn’t recognize it.

Slowly, he turned around.

Standing behind him was a tall young man with green hair. He looked at Maddy with a confident expression.

"Believe me. We can revive Lira."

Maddy’s eyes widened.

"What? How?"

The young man smiled.

"I’ll explain everything. But first, come with me to my hideout."

Maddy didn’t move.

"Wait. Before I go anywhere, tell me your name."

The young man looked at him and answered confidently.

"Spikey."

Maddy stared at him, still unsure whether he could trust this stranger.

But the moment he heard Lira’s name again, one thought filled his mind.

Could he really bring her back?
