Chapter 2714: Cross-dressing

Chapter 2714: Cross-dressing

Zu An’s heart shuddered. This is indeed an underlying threat. “If a Wonderpoint World’s master is killed outside, can the murderer claim possession of the Wonderpoint World?”

Firework pondered about it before replying, “That will depend on where its master kept the World Law Beacon. If he carries it around with him, his enemy can steal and take over the Wonderpoint World. Most people wouldn’t dare target a Wonderpoint World’s master, as most of them are powerful experts, but your situation is peculiar...”

“Because I’m weak?” Zu An replied calmly as if he wasn’t speaking about himself.

“You are indeed weaker compared to other known Wonderpoint Worlds’ masters, but as a Wonderpoint World’s master, you are bound to harness tremendous luck and special abilities. That cripple won’t be able to get you that easily,” Firework consoled him.

“Aren’t you worried about offending him by divulging this information to me?” Zu An asked out of curiosity.

“You look better than him. As a Love and Beauty worshiper, it goes without saying that I ought to help you.” Firework smiled with twinkling eyes.

“Do you have more information on him?” Zu An figured Firework was after his Wonderpoint World as well.

“I heard he’s a renowned villain in one of the galaxies. He has committed many evil deeds, including theft, arson, and genocide. I abhor people who destroy beautiful things in the world.” Firework harrumphed. “He has three sworn siblings who are Annihilation worshipers too. You should be glad they failed to obtain Dreamland’s invitation letters, or else you wouldn’t have stood a chance against all four of them.”

“Do you know what abilities he has?” Zu An asked.

Firework shook her head. “I only know that he specializes in flames. Most Annihilation worshipers are such experts, as flame is the most optimal tool for destruction. I’m not sure about his other abilities. Most experts are extremely secretive about their abilities lest others curb them. Only those in the same galaxy might know a thing or two.”

Zu An nodded. Lucky it’s not my first time encountering an Annihilation worshiper, so I won’t be clueless if we come to blows.

“Why is Miss Firework going to Dreamland?”

“Because it’s fun. It only opens once in a thousand years. It’s interesting just thinking about it.”

Zu An hesitantly asked, “I heard most people who entered Dreamland in its last few openings never left it.”

“Who would make things difficult for an adorable beauty like me?” Firework put up a ‘V’ sign beside her face. She did look adorable. “Besides, won’t you protect me if something happens?”

Zu An smiled. “I’ll do my best to protect you since we’re friends, but I fear I might not be strong enough to help you when the moment comes.”

“Don’t be disheartened. I believe you’ll do fine. I have met many people, but few are able to remain composed in the face of danger like you. I believe you'll be able to deal with whatever comes your way.” Firework patted his shoulder.

“But I’m facing a quandary now...” Zu An summarized his communication issue.

“And here I was wondering what could have troubled you. That’s easy. I can just ask Fluttering Baldie to teach you,” Firework replied with a chuckle. She grabbed Zu An’s hand and led him outside. “He's much more useful than the Universal Conglomerate’s offline translators. Their translators don’t even cover remote languages.”

Zu An eyed the other party’s hand. It was very smooth, but it felt inappropriate for her to be holding his hand when they had only just met.

Firework brought him to Fluttering Baldie’s room and knocked on the door.

“Who is it?” Fluttering Baldie’s wary voice echoed from within.

“Open up, Baldie. It’s me,” Firework said.

Zu An was baffled. In our world, it would have been extremely rude to call someone a baldie, even if he is truly a baldie. But then again, Knowledge’s worshipers gradually lose their hair as they gain more knowledge. It could instead be flattering to call them that.

The door soon opened, and the balding middle-aged man excitedly rushed out. “Miss Firework, what brings you here so late at night...”

He swiftly noticed Zu An and their linked hands. His face twitched. “What’s he doing here?”

“We’re here to ask a favor. Can you teach him the languages of other worlds?” Firework asked with a smile. She emanated a youthful aura that made it hard to reject her.

Fluttering Baldie’s face flickered. A while later, he murmured, “I refuse.”

Firework was taken aback. “Why?”

Fluttering Baldie turned around and walked away from the door. “I’ll only teach you.”

The door slammed closed behind him.

Firework and Zu An were both speechless.

As Firework followed Zu An back to his room, she murmured in bewilderment, “This is weird. Fluttering Baldie was quite friendly when I talked to him earlier. Why is he suddenly so hostile?”

Zu An lifted their joined hands. “Could this be the reason?”

Firework was perplexed. “What’s wrong with me holding your hand? You’re beautiful; you conform to the standards of our Deity of Love and Beauty. I wouldn’t have held anyone else’s hand.”

“Could Fluttering Baldie be jealous?” Zu An couldn’t tell if Firework was just innocent, or if all Love and Beauty worshipers were so thick-headed.

“Jealous?” Firework was confused. “We aren’t lovers. Why is he getting jealous?”

Zu An retracted his hand, not knowing how to explain it to her.

Firework didn’t dwell on the matter. She settled down on a chair and rested her head on her hands. “This is troublesome. Let me see if there are other solutions.”

Zu An eyed her clothes. “Actually, I have an idea.”

“Oh?” Firework was surprised to hear that. Even I’m at a loss, but this fellow has an idea? Are masters of Wonderpoint Worlds that resourceful?

Zu An hesitantly asked, “Miss, can you lend me a set of your clothes?”

Firework was stunned. Her fair complexion swiftly reddened, and she exclaimed, “What are you trying to do?”

You have successfully trolled Firework for +110... +110... +110...

Zu An knew his request sounded perverted, so he hurriedly explained, “Please don’t misunderstand. Fluttering Baldie mentioned earlier that he’s only willing to teach you, so I was thinking of wearing your clothes to impersonate you.”

Firework rolled her eyes. “Are you taking me or Fluttering Baldie for a fool? Do you think you can impersonate me just by wearing my clothes?”

“I have an ability that allows me to disguise myself as women, but I need their clothes,” Zu An replied awkwardly.

Firework’s eyes lit up. “You have such an ability?”

She would have never been willing to give her clothes to a man whom she had just become acquainted with, but Zu An’s ability piqued her interest so much that she reached into her spatial storage and passed him a set of her clothes. She was curious to see how he would accomplish that feat.

“Don’t blame me for turning against you if you dare fool me!” As she passed her dress over, Firework’s face reddened.

Zu An nodded as he took out Pin Ru’s Wardrobe. To Firework’s bewilderment, he placed her dress into the wardrobe. He considered asking her to excuse herself for a while, but after some thought, he decided to just step into the wardrobe to change his clothes. “This wardrobe is made out of some special material...”

Firework was assessing the wardrobe when the doors suddenly opened. When she saw someone identical to her walking out, her eyes nearly popped out.
