(Let me fix this) Xu Huo caught her hand, "Do you still have the knife in your hand?"

The little girl looked at her hand in surprise, only to find that the knife had dissipated like smoke. She immediately realized, "You’re a Psychic Evolver!"

She couldn’t shake off Xu Huo’s hand, so she could only command the terminal to send a distress signal. However, neither the terminal nor the voice-activated devices responded. She looked up in horror, "It was you!"

Xu Huo looked down at her, "Where is Gu Hui Peak?"

The little girl quickly suppressed her expression, but then immediately heard him continue, "Don’t think about using this as a bargaining chip. Compared to the secrets on you, Gu Hui Peak is nothing, even if you don’t clear the level, it’s worth it."

The little girl’s spirits, which had just lifted, wilted again. It seemed to be due to genetic issues; after struggling for a while, she appeared very tired, speaking in a somewhat low voice: "He’s locked in a room on the first floor; I can take you there."

Xu Huo nodded, "Alright, now we can talk about your matters."

The little girl didn’t understand, "I have no matters. If you want to avenge those dead people, I didn’t kill them."

"You killed them." Xu Huo said, "Because you were unhappy, they lost their lives. You should repent. So many people with beautiful lives died in vain because of your twisted psyche; you should kill yourself to atone."

"Why!" The little girl yelled, "They deserved to die. Why should I live in such pain while they’re so happy, laughing in front of me. That’s their crime!"

Xu Huo released one of her hands, looking down at her, as though penetrating her skin to see her ugly heart.

"Why are you looking at me like that!" The little girl was provoked, "You’re just like those people; as soon as you learn I will never grow up, you look at me with contemptuous disdain! I’m human, not a monster!"

Xu Huo nodded, "You’re very self-aware."

The little girl was losing control of her emotions; she was becoming more and more agitated, gradually having difficulty breathing. Her face turned pale, and lips purple as she slumped to the ground.

Xu Huo looked at her apathetically, waited until she was released from dangling by his hand, then slowly said, "Since you’re in such pain, let me be a good person today and end your painful life."

White Psychic Power flowed, slowly wrapping around her neck.

The little girl opened her eyes, stood up willingly, and boldly faced him, "People like you have not a shred of compassion. Tell me, what do you want? My father can give you anything — props, equipment, money, or something else. Whatever you want as long as you let go of me, he can pave a way for you even if you want to become the next Chief Governor."

"You’re making me curious," Xu Huo said, "Why does he cater to your fancy?"

"He owes me." The little girl had nothing to hide, "Originally, he was the one who was supposed to be ill, but he used medicine to delay the onset, which changed his body condition. Unluckily, it’s me. My older brothers and sisters are fine, but I will never grow up."

"That’s not enough to make him clean up your mess without conditions." Xu Huo stared at her, seeming to examine something.

Sensing the murderous intent he emitted, the little girl continued, "Because his life is in my hands. I evolved a characteristic that doesn’t work on others but can kill anyone related by blood anytime, anywhere."

"This doesn’t make sense." Xu Huo shook his head slightly, "Once you leave the game, you can’t use the characteristic anymore."

The little girl chuckled, "That’s because you’re uninformed; when a Player’s trait evolves to a certain extent, it can break free of the game’s restrictions like Super Evolution. My trait is such."

Xu Huo thought for a moment then said, "It makes sense, since you hate him so much, you can try now."

The little girl was stunned, "Do you think I’m stupid? What’s the benefit for me to kill him now?"

"Then it won’t work." Xu Huo looked at her with a knowing expression as if seeing through her little trick.

"What use do you have for his life?" The little girl tried to persuade him, "Let’s trade it for something else, even if what you want is Primeval Stone or Super Props, that would be more valuable to you..."

Listening to her making conditions in one breath, Xu Huo finally replied slowly, "You haven’t told the truth; your secret isn’t killing those with blood ties, but carrying you through the dark spatial folds."

"You don’t have the conditions to evolve the characteristic to the level of a Super Player, which is most likely not your trait, similarly, the possibility of Secondary Evolution Power is very low."

"If it’s not a trait or Evolutionary Power, then it should be props or some other thing..."

The little girl’s expression changed slowly under Xu Huo’s analysis; she was used to following her whims and hadn’t truly experienced a life-and-death crisis, so she couldn’t hide it.

The air carried a pungent smell, Xu Huo looked down at the little girl covering her nose, asking coolly: "Still running?"

The little girl glared at him. Then she rapidly shuttled through the darkness while trying to pry open his hand. However, after running up and down dozens of times, she couldn’t succeed. Finally, exhausted, she had to plead, "Uncle, I admit my mistake, you’re gripping me tightly, can you let go?"

"I’ve already said, save the uncle talk," Xu Huo said, "I wouldn’t dare say I’m older than you, but you should know yourself."

The little girl no longer pretended to be a child and coldly looked at him, "Then let’s die together!"

Xu Huo sank into complete darkness with her, not knowing what space they were in. Yet, while it took a long time to exit, despite sensory blurring, he did not let go for a moment. Instead, he said, "Are you willing to use your life to perish together?"

Sensing the air gradually thinning, he put on a mask and continued, "You are murdering people here without the Governor daring to control. I’ve investigated major missing cases over the past decade, happening every year during the fall season, with local governments handling it in nearly the same way."

"Coincidentally, recently the Chief Governor’s youngest daughter in Zone 022 had a birthday, and it seems that every year the Chief Governor’s youngest daughter celebrates her birthday with the same shop ordering the same cakes and drinks, full of child-like innocence."

"It’s been long since there’s been good news at the Chief Governor’s home; they can’t give birth to a younger daughter every year, so is it your birthday then?"

"I heard the Chief Governor himself was a victim of genetic editing, and the repercussions of genetic editing might not be evident on him, but cannot guarantee the next generation is the same... How old are you this year? Do you envy those women who smoothly grow up? They possess perfect female traits; influenced by hormones, they can fall in love, fully embrace the men they adore, and can showcase their feminine beauty anytime..."

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" The little girl shrieked, suddenly halting in a room, and grabbed her Little Knife to stab Xu Huo!
