Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 2731: Explanation
The players in Zone 011 present knew very well that those capable of killing Rank-A players might not muddy the waters for the sake of Evolution Notes, while those who willingly jumped into the fray were mostly individuals who were neither top-tier nor bottom-tier. But Xu Huo possessed too many chips; even if few realized he was a tri-directional Evolver for now, it was all too easy for him to stir chaos—no one, no partition, not even a Wormhole Point, would refuse such an ally!
Talent... At this moment, the Zone 011 players, amidst their shock and disappointment, felt a sword hanging over their heads. In the game, a substantial number of Super Evolvers never make significant progress over several years, decades, or even their entire lives; these individuals remain controllable regardless of how they evolve. But when Super Evolvers reach a level capable of unleashing energy rivaling top-tier props or instruments, they become the ones most likely to become Super Players.
The example of Hua Han Werna was right before their eyes.
Although Xu Huo couldn’t kill them today, when he sought revenge in the future, he might not even have to do it himself!
"Kill him..." A voice filled with gritted teeth emerged from some corner, and indeed, a few players lost their senses and rushed out of the group, but before they could approach, they were frozen mid-step by Time Force and instantly turned old and grey.
Afterwards, using these Rank-A players and Ashis as a boundary, the entire city began to freeze from the inside out, and time paused.
Xu Huo stood up solemnly, looking at Hua Han Werna moving within the Static Time.
The Seastabilizing Needle of Zone 011 seemed satisfied with his performance, nodded with a smile, "Your progress exceeded my expectations."
Xu Huo relaxed slightly, "It’s been a while since we met; how’s your health, old sir?"
"Still got some years to live, I’ll surely invite you to my funeral before I die." Hua Han laughed heartily, raising his hand slightly in the air, and those dozens of Rank-A players who came with Ashis aged and died within seconds.
However, he did not kill Ashis, and offered an explanation for it, "A talented individual can determine the fate of a family’s future, yet a talented but arrogant person can also decide a family’s future fate. His downfall would be the Werna Family’s downfall."
Xu Huo smiled slightly, "It’s hard to say about the future."
Hua Han replied, "You parting ways with the Werna Family is already part of the future."
Xu Huo didn’t continue the topic and instead pointed to Kage Herta under the tower, "You wouldn’t mind if I took care of him, would you?"
"You can handle his family too." Hua Han promised.
This surprised Xu Huo a bit; previously, Hua Han only showed some guidance to juniors without direct intentions. Now, whether cleaning out those Rank-A players or handing over the Herta Family to him, it all seemed like a preemptive investment in Zone 011.
"Last time you left, I mentioned teaching you something useful; now come with me." Hua Han said.
The blocking instrument failed, Xu Huo reclaimed the Time Tower and followed him.
Once their figures disappeared, the Base City was unsealed from Static Time, and whether it was Ashis, the arriving nobles, or Bai Jianzhang and others, everyone watched the scattered elderly corpses on the ground silently and fearfully.
Xu Huo followed Hua Han to his home in Xiu City.
The last time Xu Huo visited, he was received by the same old butler. The latter brewed tea, brought it over, complained a bit about the Werna Family causing trouble, and then left.
After having tea, Hua Han simply explained why there was such a significant divide in opinions within Werna.
Initially, Xu Huo’s lack of cooperation annoyed some of Werna’s elders. Without speaking of marrying into the family, Xu Huo’s unwillingness to marry a Werna young lady was a signal to them— a signal that the Werna Family could be abandoned at any time in the future.
The Werna Family was not strong enough to be cut off from other major nobles; mainly, Hua Han held the fort. Those worried about becoming second-in-command in the future became anxious, starting to scout better candidates while trying to woo Xu Huo.
A new candidate was found, appearing to start on the same starting line as Xu Huo, just beginning Temporal Evolution. Whether better or worse, the newcomer was a better choice, after all, Hua Han wasn’t dying anytime soon.
But Xu Huo stayed long-term in Zone 011, and the future was unpredictable. It was hard to ensure that when Hua Han passed, someone wouldn’t try to recruit him to challenge the Werna Family. Since he posed a threat, it was better to deal with him before he grew.
Herta’s invitation showed their underestimation; initially, they believed sealing the Tickets prop and dealing with a Rank-B player wasn’t difficult and wouldn’t require Werna Family members to step in, to avoid giving Hua Han trouble later. Unexpectedly, Xu Huo lacked neither strength nor courage and killed everyone upon meeting.
A Rank-B player challenging such a behemoth as Zone 011, anyone else might not even dare to consider such thoughts, who would have thought he dared?
A smart person should leverage their strength in negotiations with Zone 011 for maximum benefits; turning the table without considering consequences was indeed beyond Zone 011’s expectation.
"They believed their chips were plentiful, enough to entice anyone, hence thinking there was room for negotiation even after dealing with the player without killing." Xu Huo said.
Hua Han chuckled, "Why not look at the chips the Werna Family is about to offer?"
Xu Huo also laughed, "I reckon I have a little money."
"What they can offer isn’t just money; once you’ve avenged them, you shouldn’t refuse the benefits they deliver." Hua Han remarked. "Don’t be foolish. Yes, even your broken-down house can be well renovated."
Xu Huo raised an eyebrow, "Repairing the Rose Castle is quite costly."
"A zone can do a lot." Hua Han put down the teacup, "Too bad you don’t want to stay here."
"I have my own home." Xu Huo responded, "I need to take care of my family first."
"That’s expected." Hua Han continued, "You’re still young; even without Zone 011’s help, your future is boundless."
"Was that young individual they found really a Time Evolutionary?" Xu Huo suddenly asked.
Hua Han smiled meaningfully, "Why don’t you guess?"
Xu Huo didn’t speak, anyway, it was Zone 011’s affair.
Xu Huo’s non-cooperation left Hua Han disappointed, his interest lost, before finally saying, "Today you should rest, lessons start tomorrow."
Xu Huo wasn’t in a hurry, leaving the tea room.
"The current young people can really hold their composure." The old butler walked in, "But indeed, he has great talent, surpassing you in your youth."
Hua Han leaned slightly against the chair edge, faint gleams flickering in his half-squinted eyes, "A bunch of useless old folks, wanting to grab all good things into their own bowls, feed them well, spare them some blood to fatten them up."
