Chapter 291: Chapter 291: Chu Fan Takes Control of the Space-Time Shuttle

For the first time, Chu Fan felt the Divine Realm was so close. But between the lines of those few short sentences, it was clear that even the Divine Realm was full of deceit and treachery. The scheming might even be more vile than in the Mortal Realm.

Chu Fan had no idea why the Emperor of the Middle Celestial Divine Realm went to the Chaos Source. The fact that the Princess’s mother, the author of the diary, had gone to the Chaos Source to find the Emperor and never returned showed that she was a person of deep passion and devotion.

Chu Fan didn’t believe a Middle Celestial Divine Realm like that deserved to be jointly attacked by the Four Celestial Emperors.

’Are Gods truly fair and just beings?’

’Are Gods really the standard that all people should look up to?’

No. Gods were likely just beings more powerful than mortals. They were familiar with the rules, they knew how to use the Laws, and that was all.

Those few short lines gave Chu Fan a perception of "Gods" completely different from anyone else’s for the first time.

This place had been buried underground for at least ten thousand years, which meant the Middle Celestial Divine Realm must have faced a calamity. It was a Land of Death from which new life could be born. He wondered how that Princess was doing now.

Chu Fan looked away from the paper and sighed deeply.

Even Gods were as helpless as duckweed in the wind when the tide of fate turned against them.

He walked over to a rack holding several fox fur cloaks. Reaching out, he touched one of the great cloaks. It didn’t look at all like something that had been buried underground for ten thousand years. The fur was still incredibly soft, and it shimmered as he gently stroked it.

On the bed, the blankets were also made of white fox fur.

As Chu Fan approached, he could even smell a faint, fresh fragrance on the bed.

"This Princess must have been a peerless beauty in her time. What a pity."

By the stage in the central courtyard, none of the musical instruments were ordinary items. Chu Fan had originally considered tossing these priceless instruments into the Jun Tianjian World to take with him, but after looking around the stone hall and thinking of the note on the paper, he gave up the idea.

’If I become a God one day, reach the Divine Realm, and find out the whole story, I’ll come back and pay my respects to this Princess!’

The moment that thought crossed his mind, a halo of light appeared before his eyes.

A palm-sized ship floated in front of him.

The vessel looked almost identical to the one they had seen moored by the river in the Palace City of the Hua Xu Empire when they entered the Secret Realm, only countless times smaller. Moreover, this model before him wasn’t riddled with countless holes and damages.

"Hello, Fated One. Your sincerity has triggered the seal on the Space-Time Shuttle. From this day forward, you shall have complete control over it. The world you currently inhabit is merely a folded space within the Space-Time Shuttle."

A mechanical, emotionless voice rang out in Chu Fan’s mind. He instinctively reached out, and the palm-sized ship flew into his hand on its own.

Instantly, a flood of information poured into his mind.

This palm-sized ship was actually the key to controlling the entire vessel. The Space-Time Shuttle had been severely damaged after taking heavy blows in a great battle.

Not only could the ship now only be opened once every thirty-six years, but even the Combat Power of the beasts inside had been greatly diminished.

This Space-Time Shuttle was the personal vessel of a Princess named Yan Qingyun. It also served as a training ground for her Guards. In the past, the beasts here possessed a minimum Combat Power of Divine Grade.

And now? The lowest Combat Power was only at the Nascent Soul Realm, and the highest was merely the Void Realm.

Fortunately, the ship could be repaired. However, repairing it seemed no easier than fixing the Celestial Dragon Armor and the Juntian Sword!

He reviewed the new information in his mind, looking over the materials needed to repair the ship. Although he had heard of many of them, they were all incredibly rare Heavenly and Earthly Treasures.

Suddenly, a thought struck Chu Fan. ’Is it possible that the Celestial Dragon Armor, the Juntian Mirror, the Juntian Sword, and the Space-Time Shuttle were all damaged in that same battle?’

According to the Xiezhi, the Juntian Mirror was the number one supreme treasure of the Chaos. But the Jun Tianjian World was filled with Death Qi. What could have happened to turn the number one supreme treasure of the Chaos into its current state?

The Juntian Sword was the Juntian Mirror’s companion, its ultimate weapon, yet it was severely damaged, covered in countless nicks and rust spots.

The Celestial Dragon Armor was hailed as the number one Battle Armor in the Divine Realm, yet it was so damaged that it didn’t even have one-ten-thousandth of its original defensive power. What kind of blow did it suffer?

’It looks like I’ve got another task to add to my life’s to-do list: find the materials to repair these supreme treasures.’

Perhaps, once he repaired the Space-Time Shuttle, the Celestial Dragon Armor, and the Juntian Mirror, he might even be able to ascend to godhood on the spot with their help.

With the key to the Space-Time Shuttle in hand, everything within this entire space appeared in his sea of consciousness. He could clearly see the location of all three hundred and fifty-nine people.

Even places not shown on the map Long Jingyao had given him were now present in his mind.

At the foot of a snow-covered mountain, he saw a badly wounded Hui Ke staggering along.

He also saw Guo Zi and his group fighting a pack of beasts.

’Guo Zi, is it? I’ll let you have a taste of being plotted against first.’

Chu Fan smirked. With a single thought, all the beasts within a hundred-li radius of Guo Zi’s location began stampeding toward them.

’Since this Space-Time Shuttle is my private property now, once you’re all exhausted, you can all get the hell out!’

Chu Fan was in no mood to help the Hua Xu Empire train its soldiers.

He could already foresee that once he left this place and returned to the outside world, Long Jingyao would undoubtedly try every means possible to eliminate him.

Before, he might have had to find a way to avoid this disaster. Not anymore. Although the Space-Time Shuttle was severely damaged, it wasn’t completely inoperable.

It might not work in the Divine Realm, but this was the Mortal Realm.

’Huh? Who’s that? There are three hundred and sixty people in total, so why haven’t I seen him before?’ As Chu Fan pondered, he spotted a corner of this world in his sea of consciousness where an eight-foot-tall brute was fighting a Stone Giant.

With a mere thought, Chu Fan teleported near the brawny man.

Chu Fan studied the man carefully. He looked somewhat familiar, but Chu Fan couldn’t remember where he had seen him.

"Hey, what’s your name?" Chu Fan shouted to the brawny man.

"Chu Fan, you bastard! It’s your fault I ended up like this!" the brawny man snarled, grinding his teeth.

"’I’? You’re Long Yinwen?" Chu Fan was utterly shocked.

"Now that I’ve become like this, are you satisfied?"

"It really is Long Yinwen. But you’ve got it all wrong. I was acting on your father’s orders to get the Cloud Flower to treat your illness. If you’ve ended up like this, you can only blame your father. How can you blame me?"

As Chu Fan said this, a realization dawned on him. He seemed to have guessed Long Jingyao’s plan.

When Yan Ying ascended the throne in the future, it wouldn’t be as Yan Ying, but under the identity of Long Yinwen. From this moment on, Long Yinwen was no longer the Imperial Grandson. After he left the Secret Realm, he would either die or be forced far away from the center of power.

If Long Jingyao still had some fatherly affection left, he would arrange for him to become a Leisurely Prince.

But what Long Jingyao would actually do to him, no one could say for sure.

’This Long Yinwen is a pitiful man.’

Chu Fan simply waved his hand, and the Stone Giant immediately fled.

"You’re not Long Jingyao’s biological son, are you?" Chu Fan had only meant it as a joke, but his words unexpectedly hit a nerve, striking the core of Long Yinwen’s insecurities.

"How did you know?"

Hearing his response, Chu Fan was even more shocked. "You really aren’t his biological son?"

"I’m asking you, how did you know?"
