"Sister, you have an idea?"

"Everything is connected," Wu Hong said calmly. "One of the foundations of the River of Fate, the Underworld, and even Primordial Chaos is time. So —"

"We can rebuild the River of Time using the other constructs."

Wu Hong nodded. "This method is faster than our previous method and way safer than gambling on that Time Origin Crystal."

"I'll get started immediately."

"I'll leave it to you."

With one issue dealt with, Wu Hong could now focus on the war effort. The situation was proceeding smoothly. With all the powerful legions and the Holy Creation Pillars, the court had the advantage. Moreover, with each new Chaos World created, more soul energy is fed to the Battle Spirit System, improving it at an exponential rate.

Wu Hong analyzed the war situation through countless screens in front of her when one suddenly turned red, warning of an emergency. Focusing on it, she saw something that made her squint: a new breed of Destructo Beast had appeared on the battlefield. They looked similar to the previous generation, except they had a crystal on their forehead.

That breed of beast rushed toward the Holy Creation Pillars and was immediately bombarded. The conversion happened, but this time around, only eight of the ten Destructo Beasts turned into Creation Beasts. Such a change alarmed the court, which is why Wu Hong received the notification. But such a change was just the beginning.

Another round of beasts attacked, but this time, only half of them were converted. The court still killed the rest, but that didn't matter; the Red Cloud's purpose had been achieved. Wu Hong calmly watched this, not surprised in the slightest. Gu Chang'an also cultivates Heaven Dao, which means he's a highly knowledgeable individual —even more so than she is. In fact, it could be considered a shame it took him so long to solve the conversion issue. But to be fair, he's probably too busy dealing with Lady Ai and doesn't have that much time.

"Your distraction is the key to winning this war," Wu Hong thought. With a thought, she ordered the court to switch to the second-generation Holy Creation Pillars. Her order came at the right time. The Red Cloud had just perfected their method and deployed these Crystal Destructo Beasts when the court suddenly changed their tactics.

The previous pillars used the power of Light and Creation Dao for the conversion. In the second generation, they used Emotion and Mind Manipulation, along with the power of Yin and Yang. The effect of the new conversion was as potent as the previous one, and its presence immediately shifted the tide toward the court's favor.

Now, if Gu Chang'an was in peak shape, Wu Hong had no doubt he would immediately create a counter to the second generation. But now, the speed at which he operates is drastically slower than normal, buying the court time to conduct its rapid repair of Heaven and Earth.

Time passed, and over 12 yuan epochs flashed in an instant. The court's battle never ceased, and during that time, they recovered and repaired more than 5% of the timeline. However, Wu Hong didn't care too much about that. What she cared about was the fact that the River of Time was 95% finished.

"Hmm?" Wu Hong uttered as she sensed something. "Emperor Sui has arrived?" A few seconds later, Xu Yuhan walked into the throne room.

"We…can't…hold…on… anymore. You…must…hurry."

Wu Hong frowned.

"Leave the…war to…someone else…Go…straight to…the core…t-to…help us."

"I can't do that yet."

Xu Yuhan's body trembled. "We —"

"You don't need to say anymore. Before the River of Time is completely repaired, I won't enter the core." The River of Time was her ticket out of this world in case things turned for the worse. As much as Wu Hong wishes to help this timeline and avenge her grievances against Gu Chang'an, she cared about herself first. So, only after having an escape route will she head to the most dangerous area.

"Are you…planning…to…run away?"

"Not at all. However, I need an exit plan in case things go wrong. And not just for me. I'm preparing to send a group of natives out of the timeline to preserve your civilization in case Gu Chang'an wins."

Xu Yuhan paused. "That's…not a…bad idea… My people —"

"Don't worry, the Emperor Path Holy Land will have priority."

"Thank…you."

Emperor Sui was about to disconnect when Wu Hong stopped him.

"Although I can't head there now, I can still provide assistance." She waved her hand to condense two runes.

"This…is?"

"Second Tier Authority of the River of Fate and the Six Paths Samsara. With their full assistance, you and Lady Ai should hold a while longer."

"Great," Emperor Sui said as he immediately refined one of the runes. "We can finally have some leeway in this fight."

"Before you get all excited, I should warn you not to be too excessive. The grand constructs have just been rebuilt, and they are in their weakest state. If any of you go too far, I will strip you of your authority. No exceptions."

"I understand. I'll pass the message to Lady Ai."

"Good."

"Oh, one more time," Emperor Sui added. "Could you send Three Virtue to assist me?"

Wu Hong squinted. "I've already tried, but he insists on entering the core at the same time as me. I'm starting to wonder whether he's monitoring me."

"It's probably an excuse. He's probably planning something and needs time."

"Is that so? Then, I'll keep a closer eye on him."

The wheels of time kept turning, and another five yuan epochs passed. The Red Cloud created the third-generation Destructo Beast, and the court immediately followed up with the third-generation Holy Creation Pillars. With that foundation, 7% of the timeline returned to its original state, ushering in a new age of order. However, none of that mattered as much as the complete repair of the River of Time.

Wu Hong stood with her eyes closed, navigating the river with her spirit. Using Grand Dao's power, she checked, double-checked, triple-checked, and quadruple-checked for any traps or hidden anomalies. As her only ticket home, Wu Hong didn't think that too much caution was an acceptable statement.

Finally, Wu Hong opened her eyes and exhaled in relief. A talisman flew out of her body and into the distance. And a few seconds later, Nie Rouxin came waltzing in. She paused a moment before asking: "Sister, do I really have to go? I'm now a Quasi-Saint. I can help you."

"You can help me by leaving."

"...I understand."

"Is everything prepared?"

"Yes. We're just waiting for your order."

"What about the others? Have they decided who is staying and who is leaving?"

"The Holy Lord and Madam Han Guo have decided to stay, but everybody else and the disciples have chosen to leave."

Wu Hong nodded. "I don't know if there will be any issue with you guys entering the primordial timeline. But if there is, you know what to do, right?"

"Don't worry. I've memorized all your orders."

"Good," Wu Hong replied as she turned around. Glancing at her new disciple, she couldn't help but approach and gently caress her face and head. "You don't need to worry. We'll see each other in a while."

Nie Rouxin tried to control herself, but in the end, she rushed into Wu Hong's embrace. "Master, you can't die — no matter what. You're all I have, and if you leave, I, I, I don't know what I'll do."

"Silly girl," Wu Hong said as she gently caressed Nie Rouxin's back. "Your master is destined to be a Saint, and even pursue greater heights. How can I die in this place? Don't worry. We will meet again soon."

"Your promise."

"I promise."

"Master, someone of your status can't break their promise. It will ruin your reputation."

"I know."

"Okay. I believe you."

After consoling her for a while, Wu Hong helped Nie Rouxin and the others enter the special Time Boat she had made for them and watched it enter the River of Time. She closed her eyes to sense the spirit particle on the boat. Without knowing they had safely left the timeline, Wu Hong won't feel at ease.

Bang!

A colossal hand suddenly appeared out of nowhere, targeting the boat. Three projections appeared around the boat, each signaling the Grand Constructs the court has complete mastery or control over. The projection released a terrifying barrier that blocked the attack. Nie Rouxin—who was controlling the Time Boat—used the force generated from the clash to accelerate their voyage.

Utilizing such perfect protection, the Time Boat turned into a rainbow of light, heading for the [Void Between Realm]. A few more attacks tried to stop it, but because of the boat's incomprehensible speed and protection, they successfully escaped.

"Finally," Wu Hong muttered as she opened her eyes. A small weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She no longer felt the challenge ahead as daunting as she had thought.

Wu Hong exhaled deeply before turning her gaze toward the central area of the Red Cloud. "Gu Chang'an, wait for me."
