"Where is the enemy? Why is no one coming to intercept us?" Wang Wei asked. Currently, the group had landed somewhere in Primordial Chaos, but according to his previous prediction, there would be an immediate battle after their arrival.

"Fortified base, and a truly wonderful one at that," Trinity Venerable commented. Wang Wei was confused, but before he could ask, Maitreya projected an image into his mind of countless bubbles arranged in a specific pattern.

"1.269 million worlds linked together to form a formation, with 3800 Source Chaos Worlds as the core," Erudite Duchess commented. "As long as one Tribunal Saint controls this array, they can block half of us alone."

Wang Wei frowned. Despite the grand plan, the initial mission is still to destroy the manufacturing of the Reverse Black Stone. However, the world capable of creating that material is one of the 3800 Source Chaos Worlds, meaning they must pass through that horrible formation before they can get to it first.

"We need a base, and also level the playing field," Karma Root Monarch said while glancing at the Slaughter Ancestor and the Erudite Duchess.

"Got it."

The Slaughter Ancestor found the nearby largest world, and with a thought, all life was extinguished. However, this was not just a mindless act of slaughter, but the first act of killing by the invader. The first murder seems to have some weight, some heavy karma associated with it.

’These people move fast and with great efficiency,’ Wang Wei thought. His idea was just an outline, but within a short time, these people perfected it, and as soon as they landed, they began implementing it with significant effect. Now that they were on board, Wang Wei doubted whether he would have to be involved at all from now on.

’It’s good not to have pig teammates.’ As much as he loves Maitreya, she was utterly useless in the first half of Supreme Unity’s reign. Although she started pulling up her weight later on, by then, Wang Wei had already suffered too much, leaving some psychological damage or weariness toward Saint’s capabilities. Luckily, these people were on top of their games.

While the Slaughter Ancestor was doing what he was good at, the Erudite Duchess was doing the same. With a wave of her hands, six towering dimensions slowly appeared in this timeline before spreading to every corner of the Chaos Universe.

’Artificial Grand Constructs,’ Wang Wei observed. This was precisely what they needed. In this world, their strength will be drastically weakened compared to their enemies without access to the Grand Constructs. In that case, they have two options: destroy the enemy or create their own, and the group chose the latter.

’Although it has the same effect as the constructs, the essence is far from it,’ Wang Wei analyzed. This discovery frightened him. All the Minor Constructs created by weak Emperors in the Eternal Ascension World’s lower dimension have the essence of a true construct — albeit at the lowest level — but the one created by a Tribunal Saint doesn’t.

’My conjecture was right. The lower dimension has become a way to train Dao Quintessence, and once these people discover this truth, the value of the Eternal Ascension World will be beyond what we can control.’

Wang Wei could foresee the bloodbath these Tribunal Saints would unleash for the opportunity to comprehend the essence of a Minor Construct to apply to themselves when condensing their Dao Quintessence. If Grand Dao doesn’t do something, even if the natives of the Eternal Ascension World start the new Transcendent Age, they will not be able to control their own world.

Wang Wei remained calm and composed, controlling his instincts and his body so as not to reveal any signs. He guessed Maitreya must have figured out the same thing, but they both pretended as if nothing had happened. After two of the Saints acted, the third also made his move. With a wave of his hand, the True Dream Lord blocked all forms of spatial movement — even from conceptual space such as dreams — from the worlds not part of the array, preventing anyone from returning to their base.

Meanwhile, after the Slaughter Ancestor cleared out that world, Wang Wei led the troops to land and build a military base. With all these powerful entities using their powers, the entire world was soon transformed into an impenetrable military base in less than an hour.

In the meantime, Wang Wei and the others discussed the next step and divided a plan. All the Second Step Powerhouses will attack together to test out the ins and outs of this array. Meanwhile, Wang Wei will choose a group of Primordial Saints to erect the 13 array cores as bait to draw out the enemy.

After mulling it over, Wang Wei chose a team composed of Old and New Saints to build and guard the core. The New Saints, who are much weaker, are tasked with building the array. Meanwhile, the Old Saints are to guard against enemy attacks. Despite such a simple approach, Wang Wei had to stress out for hours before selecting the candidates.

Troublemakers, such as Death Reverence, were instantly eliminated. There needs to be some sort of cooperation or coordination between the two groups, so Wang Wei had to select the more level-headed, less disdainful members of the Old Saints — the ones willing to control their ego for the sake of this mission. Finally, Wang Wei considered whether to give them some troops. These soldiers are useless given the level of confrontation between the Saints, so there was no point in sending them. However, after realizing that death and slaughter were the key to their plan — including the death of one of their own members — Wang Wei sent them a small number of troops.

According to the location selected by the Trinity Venerable, these thirteen groups headed to their position to build the arrays. Their actions could be considered an open scheme, so these groups did not hide their movements. On the contrary, once the array-building process started, they allowed the fluctuations to spread out in all directions.

Wang Wei’s next objective was organizing the scout groups, which he divided into two teams. The first team is primarily composed of Diviners and Heaven Deduction Cultivators. Their job was to bypass whatever protection the Infinite Divine Course placed on this timeline to gather information; he also tasked them with finding information about this world’s general history and development, trying to detect how this timeline diverged from theirs—if at all.

The second team involved sending his people throughout the Chaos Universe to gather information in person. Divination and Calculation were not absolute. On the contrary, Wang Wei believed these people would be even more helpful. Of course, Wang Wei was playing some tricks as well. For example, he placed both Lin Fan and Xu Shi in the Scout Group and granted them some level of freedom to see what these guys are planning.

The third objective was military training. Wang Wei needed his generals, lieutenant, and soldiers to refamiliarize themselves with the Grand Constructs. Paragons who have not mastered any construct might not notice, but the Primals will sense the subtle differences, which could affect their strength. Even Wang Wei himself needed to do this, but since he had no plan to get into a battle anytime soon, he had plenty of time.

At last, Wang Wei finally had the leisure time to focus on what the Tribunal Lords were doing. As he sat in his office with Maitreya next to him, an array screen floated in front of them, revealing all Nine Lords floating above the Infinite Divine Court’s military base.

"What do you think they are waiting for?"

"Don’t know," Maitreya shook her head. They could be analyzing the enemy’s array or plotting something else entirely. With so little information and such a world-apart level of strength, the Buddha Saint had no idea what was going on.

"From the structure of the court’s military base, it’s obvious they are either used to or expect trouble — maybe both," Wang Wei commented.

"There is no way all their expeditions have been successful, and like all empires, there will be countless rebellions if these forces are not utterly eradicated," Maitreya added.

"It would be great if we could contact these forces and convince them to cause trouble," Wang Wei shook his head.

"We probably don’t need to. As long as the court is forced to put most of its attention on this place, I don’t believe they will notice and take action."

"True," Wang Wei nodded. Any rebellious groups capable of lasting so long under the power of the Infinite Divine Court are not to be underestimated. Wang Wei estimated that most of them have spies and connections to the nobles of the Infinite Divine Court. Although it sounds absurd given the reverence the court’s citizens have for the Highest Sovereign, humans are creatures of desires.

As many people who loved the Highest Sovereign, there are as many who also loathed him, wanted to be or replace him. Wang Wei doesn’t know if the court has a royal family that is the direct bloodline of the Highest Sovereign. If there is, he would not be surprised if even members of the man’s family held hidden jealousy for him and secretly dealt with these rebels.
