Chapter 147 -131: The Girl in a Skirt is Going to Perform Horseback Riding

After saying that, she even made a little finger heart at the camera.

‘No wonder they say livestreaming is an easy way to make money,’ she thought. ‘The viewers are so sweet.’

‘Once I start earning money, I can send gifts to Brother Xiao Ran!’

‘I’m going to be the rich woman at the top of his rankings!!!’

As the number of viewers in the stream grew.

The requests started getting weird. People were asking for all sorts of things. A request to see her roast a rabbit head was one thing, but someone actually wanted to see her roast a rat!

Of course, Yan Xici wasn’t going to satisfy such bizarre requests!

By now, the fire was ready. It was time to start grilling. To get a good shot, Yan Xici adjusted her phone’s angle and placed it on the seasoning table next to the grill.

Then, she stood in front of the screen. Dressed in a white dress, with her soft, smooth hair falling casually around her ears, she looked as beautiful as a fairy.

She picked up a handful of prepared skewers and began grilling them with intense focus. Although it was her first time grilling, the girl was a quick learner. Plus, with Xiao Ran guiding her from the side, she had no trouble with the seasonings.

As the skewers heated up, oil dripped down, making the flames leap higher. The fragrant aroma of smoke and meat filled the air.

Even through the screen, you could feel the rich, smoky atmosphere.

The girl leaned in, bringing her delicate nose close and taking a deep sniff. Then, her eyes curved into a smile, filled with an indescribable delight. “Wow, it smells so good! I can’t believe it’s such a success. I really want to try a bite~”

This made the viewers on the other side of the screen drool, and many commented that they were “crying from craving.”

Just then, Xu Cheng returned. He was about to go in and say hello when Zhang Chuan saw him heading inside and quickly stopped him. “Don’t go in yet, she’s livestreaming!”

He then waved his own phone.

Xu Cheng focused his eyes on the phone and instantly lost his composure. ‘Holy crap, more than two thousand people are watching! It’s only been a little while, and she already has this many viewers. And a lot of people are sending gifts!’ The stream was absolutely buzzing with activity.

He couldn’t help but ask in amazement, “Damn, you can request grilled skewers on this stream?”

Hearing this, Zhang Chuan gave a mysterious smile. “Actually, I was the first one. But I didn’t expect that those two wouldn’t notice, and the other viewers didn’t either. It actually backfired in a good way, and a bunch of people followed suit.”

It was a classic case of accidental success.

But regardless, the result was pretty good.

Xu Cheng looked at Zhang Chuan uncertainly. “So, you think I should buy them some traffic or something?”

‘After all, this is my place. If this gets popular, I’m the one who benefits directly!’

At that, Zhang Chuan, who was lounging in a chair with his leg crossed, shot him a look. “Then what are you waiting for? I’ve already spent several hundred!”

‘Those two are here to help,’ he thought. ‘I’m just spending money to get the atmosphere going. After all, it’s Xiao Ran’s stream. A brother’s got to show support.’

He was the actual owner, after all. If he didn’t spend some money, it just wouldn’t be right.

Xu Cheng nodded repeatedly. “Right, right, you’re right. Should I drop five thousand to start?”

But then he thought that five thousand might be too little. After all, it costs tens of thousands to hire an influencer for a review, and his brother wasn’t charging him a single dime. That was already more than generous.

With that in mind, he checked his account balance. He had ten thousand eight hundred. He decisively spent ten thousand to buy a wave of popularity for the stream.

‘No matter what, this stream has to blow up today!!!!’

Li Yuanyuan watched the two of them from the side, confused and incredibly curious.

‘It’s just a livestream. Is it really worth spending so much money on?’

‘Besides, that Yan Xici is dressed so conservatively. And the guy next to her… he’s handsome, sure, but the internet has no shortage of handsome guys. What makes them so confident they can get famous?’

‘If it were about making videos, she’d probably do worse than me!’

The more she thought about it, the more resentful she felt.

‘We’re both women, so how did she get so lucky? It’s one thing for her husband to dote on her, but even his friends help her out. People are even secretly spending money to boost her livestream!’

‘If I had a husband like that, life would be too easy!’

‘He arranges everything for her. She just goes live, and her husband’s friends send gifts to liven things up.’

Lost in thought, Li Yuanyuan mumbled quietly, “I don’t think you should spend so much money. What if it fails? Wouldn’t that be a total loss?”

Hearing this, Zhang Chuan laughed scornfully. “How could it possibly fail? My brother here gets hundreds of thousands of likes on his posts without even trying. How could this be a loss?”

Xu Cheng agreed. “He’s my friend, and this is my place. No matter what, it’s not a loss for me.”

‘Besides, they’re not just helping me out. Even if it were a regular stream, as long as it’s them, I’d still spend the money!’

‘We’ve been friends for so many years. Can you really put a price on a friendship like that?’

At these words, Li Yuanyuan, who was standing nearby, was completely stunned. Her eyes went wide as she stared at Zhang Chuan. “I didn’t realize. So he’s an influencer.”

‘In my mind, aren’t all influencers really well-packaged? Or they deliberately strike poses to make themselves look more handsome?’

‘Xiao Ran, in his sweatpants and short-sleeved shirt, just looks so… normal!’

“My brother isn’t just an influencer, he’s also an author! His book was even adapted into a TV series starring Sister Mi. He’s amazing!” Zhang Chuan said, his face full of pride.

You could tell he was genuinely proud of his friend, boasting with such gusto!

This time, Li Yuanyuan, who had just been full of disdain, was truly shocked!

‘She didn’t have any influencers or authors in her own circle, but this friend of Zhang Chuan’s was both at once!’
