He sighed and opened the recipe file:

"Breakfast: 300g of Giant Python Bull heart meat, three Black Iron-grade Black Beetles. Lunch: 500g of Rock-Scaled Snake Lord tail meat, accompanied by one Power Flower..."

The document was packed with various foods, all meticulously researched and tested by Professor Cheng Qing to produce the final diet plan.

And since the Husky was an all-attribute type, its food combinations were even more complex.

"Thank goodness for the Tianhua Beast Taming Group VIP Gold Card!"

That much food involved dimensional spaces from all across the country.

Only a major corporation like the Tianhua Group could assemble such a wide variety of beast meats in a short timeframe.

Fierce beast meat itself wasn't expensive at the source — but transportation and storage issues drove the price up several times over.

Regular fierce beast meat cost several hundred Huaxia currency per jin. Rare beast meat could hit tens of thousands, even over a hundred thousand per jin.

Half an hour later.

Chen Shu arrived at the entrance of the Tianhua store and was about to walk in.

A voice sounded from behind him.

"Hm? It's you, brat?"

A weathered-looking old man spoke, his face carrying clear displeasure — even disgust.

"Ugh, what rotten luck. It's you, old ghost?"

Chen Shu turned to look, his expression immediately souring with impatience.

"Hmph! You know who I am?"

Lu Ming frowned. Chen Shu's words had sparked visible irritation in his eyes.

"Nope."

Chen Shu shrugged. "Just thought you seemed unlucky to be around. Simple as that."

"You!"

Lu Ming jabbed a finger at him, fury in his gaze. He hadn't expected Chen Shu to be this low-class.

Chen Shu strode directly into the shop.

Some stranger he didn't even know wanted to give him attitude? Since when did the Nanjiang Bandit indulge people like that?

Lu Ming was, in fact, a professor from Huaxia Academy's Cultural Studies department. He and Professor Zhong Xingyun had both given Chen Shu only 180 points back then.

Although the four other professors had awarded full marks...

Lu Ming simply disliked Chen Shu's personality. Not a shred of goodwill existed in his heart toward the boy.

"Please help me assemble the ingredients on this list..."

Chen Shu handed the diet plan to the attendant at the counter.

Lu Ming also entered the store. He flashed a gold card and said:

"I don't wish to be in the presence of riffraff. Kindly escort me to the VIP area."

The attendant's expression shifted. The moment he saw that gold card, his manner turned deeply deferential. He guided Lu Ming up to the second floor.

Watching their backs, Chen Shu asked, "What's up there on the second floor?"

The attendant smiled apologetically. "It's mainly reserved for VIP card holders. But rest assured, sir, we'll serve you with just as much care!"

Chen Shu nodded, not particularly bothered — but right then, options appeared before his eyes.

[Option 1: Head up to the second floor and investigate what's going on. Completion Reward: Unlock new potion formula — "Gale Wind Potion"]

[Option 2: Ignore it. Finish your business and leave. Completion Reward: Medium Beast Taming Power]

[Option 3: Find an opportunity and directly urea bag him. Completion Reward: Five bottles of Black Iron-grade Darkness Potion]

Chen Shu rubbed his chin and spoke. "Take me upstairs too, please."

"Sir, the second floor requires..."

The attendant started to explain, but Chen Shu produced a golden, gleaming card — identical in every way to Lu Ming's.

"Y-you?!"

The attendant's eyes went wide. For a moment, he could barely process what he was seeing.

Someone this young... held the same VIP Gold Card as a Huaxia Academy professor?!

"Sir, would you allow me to verify—"

The attendant spoke with extreme caution.

He didn't dare offend the young man, but Chen Shu's vibe wasn't exactly... trustworthy. Forging a gold card didn't seem entirely out of the question either.

Chen Shu frowned. "How come that old man didn't need to be checked?"

"He's a professor from Huaxia Academy's Cultural Studies department..."

"Cultural Studies, huh?"

Chen Shu rubbed his chin. "Fine, make it quick!"

Two minutes later, the attendant returned the card with deep respect.

"My apologies for the wait, sir!"

He escorted Chen Shu to the second floor, where Lu Ming was already seated at a small table, leisurely sipping coffee.

"Help me assemble this diet plan!"

Chen Shu handed over a sheet of paper listing the required beast meats.

The attendant took the list, nodded, and departed.

"Hm?! How did YOU get up here?!"

Lu Ming's mouth fell open. He looked like he'd seen a ghost.

"Walked."

Chen Shu sat down calmly beside him, his gaze suggesting he was staring at a complete idiot.

The other party was a Cultural Studies professor — which meant his combat strength couldn't possibly be too high. He might even just be an ordinary person.

Facing the weak — since when had the Nanjiang Bandit ever been afraid?!

"Hmph!"

Lu Ming scowled and refused to engage further.

Chen Shu, intent on completing the System's choice, spoke bluntly: "Did I blow up your ancestral grave or something?"

"?!"

Lu Ming's eyes bulged. For a moment, it was like his brain couldn't even process it.

A beat later, he glared with fury. "You're cursing at me?! THIS is the quality of a so-called genius?! It makes this old man sick!"

"My apologies!"

Chen Shu stood up. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he asked:

"Excuse me — did I blow up your ancestral grave?"

"?!"

Lu Ming's expression twisted in shock. His lips trembled as if he were having a seizure.

Chen Shu looked at him with genuine confusion. "What? That wasn't polite enough for you?"

"If I'd known earlier, I would have done everything in my power to stop you from entering Huaxia Academy!"

Lu Ming snorted coldly. "You are nothing but a stain upon the most sacred ground of beast taming!"

"Stop me? You were one of the examiners who scored me?"

Chen Shu's eyes flickered. The connection snapped into place immediately.

Lu Ming let out a cold laugh. "What do you think? Pity the other four were so ignorant — actually giving you high scores!"

"Hold on. Did I provoke you somehow?!"

A trace of real anger surfaced in Chen Shu's eyes. "By the scoring standards, am I somehow not qualified to enter Huaxia Academy?!"

This old man had tried to cut off his future!

The real reason Lu Ming wanted to block Chen Shu from Huaxia Academy was simply that he disliked Chen Shu's personality — but that wasn't part of the college entrance exam's grading criteria.

If he said it out loud, wouldn't that just be admitting to personal bias?

"This old man has no obligation to explain himself to you! Get out of my sight!"

"Don't let me find out where your ancestral grave is. Because if I do, I'm blowing it straight to hell."

Chen Shu's heart burned with displeasure. This bastard had tried to sabotage him from the shadows, failed, and now he was the one acting like the victim?!

"You—!"

Lu Ming let out a furious huff, rose to his feet, and left.

"Picking a fight with the Nanjiang Bandit, huh."

Chen Shu silently committed the old man's face to memory.

...

"Sir, the beast meats you've requested span too many varieties and involve sourcing from across the entire country. It'll take some time to assemble everything."

"How long?"

"Five days should suffice!"

"Alright."

Chen Shu spoke up again. "Do I need to put down a deposit?"

"No need. VIP Gold Card holders enjoy special privileges!"

"Really? That good?"

Chen Shu rubbed his chin. "Other than that, are there any other benefits?"

His eyes practically sparkled with anticipation as he continued:

"For example... credit, maybe?"
