[Eon’s POV: ]

Since the meeting with that person was done now, we were returning to the city, in the light, in the central streets of the city where a pretty garden was located.
It was a great place for many things, it was also where the rest of them were at right now, and Anna is with them too, so they are waiting for us right now.
[{ “Ever since she figured out I was in a disguise, she was glancing at me as if I was some kind of intriguing merchandise, master.” }]
[{ “Miss Moon, it wasn’t that she saw through the disguise, but more like she instinctively knew you weren’t exactly what you seemed to be like.

That person… she was pretty scary, if I do say so myself.
The Aura that she had was different from the aura of a strong person like grandpa or grandmother, it was also not like the aura of a politician like Lady Carolina, it was more mature… something much different from the simple kinds of ‘power’ that people knew about.
‘It was much more abstract than actual strength, so to people like us with heightened perception and unique senses, she was nothing less than individuals like the headmaster.’
She didn’t have the most money in the world, she did not have the most strength, she was no grand mage, and she was no knight either… what she was, in her own words, was a Whore.

I have been planning about this ever since I came back from the forbidden forest. It was something we needed, something this world needed.
‘This ‘team’ was my way of giving this world back all that I have earned from my masters. My way to contribute to this world.’
I did not want recognition, and I don’t want anyone knowing about us.
‘That is the reason the only people that are in this team are people who are either unknown to the world, or have all the abilities I want in them.’
Miss Moon was a unique individual with diverse skills and abilities. She was a pureblood, and she was also someone I could use however I wanted.
‘I want the president on this team for obvious reasons, and aside from these two, I will have the young Magik.’
But, I’ll have to train them just the way I have trained Miss Moon. Which will take a lot of time, and with the appearance of those damned cultists, I know we did not have that.’

There is a reason even the strongest of this world fears that person. There is a reason she has the kind of Power that she does.
She had nothing when she started.
She was a slave, one filled with ambitions.
‘Not many know about her, about her past, but I’ve heard stories about her from both my mom and my grandma.’
She had a unique connection with the Heliox. She knew our ancestors and though I do not know much about it, it is said that she even has knowledge about our founding fathers.
‘We don’t know what kind of connection she has with our family, but when we need her the most, or when she needs us desperately, we come to one another.’
It was a relationship based on various kinds of transitions and favours. But the fact that she was the one with the upper hand in all those transactions was an eternal fact.
‘She had guided my grandmother when she needed help, she guided my mother, and if things had not been so complicated, at some point, I would have been guided by her as well.’
But the world right now is not the same as the world that it was a few years ago.

Sure there were some other candidates I would have looked for, and I know I will have to keep looking for them, but if we get Her on our side… if I get her on My side, I know things will be relatively easier, smoother, and faster.
“Big brother~! You’re here~!”
Rein was the only one that knew what I was doing when I was gone.
The others only knew that I was gone for some official business so they did not prey into it much.
“Hey there, little love~.”
They were having fun with the others anyway. Cradle was a fun companion to have around, with the president being present, everyone was in check and didn’t cause any great troubles.
Zoe was with Anna so Anna was also careful with her excitement.
‘We left the Povpoi back at the estate so it wasn’t as noisy around as it would have been with them around. And, though we attract quite a lot of attention since we aren’t wearing any kind of disguise, since the relationship between the lord and the people of the city is quite good, the people of the city don’t mind us much either.
Sure they are surprised to see the children of the main family walking around the street, sure they are surprised to see the big, armoured lizardman and knights guarding us, sure they have looks of awe when they see the famous young individuals of their lord’s family, the atmosphere around us is not uncomfortable at all.
“How was it?”
“Kinda boring without you. Well, it can’t be helped now, can it?”
Rein wanted to meet that person as well. But, she knew she would get her chance in the future so she stayed back willingly.
‘Sometimes, I’m surprised how mature she acts despite her feelings about the situation.’
Perhaps it was because of her increasing age, or perhaps because of the increasing tension, or perhaps it was because of the new knowledge that she gained through her eyes and me…
Whatever the reason, I’m glad to have her by my side.
‘I don’t even know what I might have done without her now.’
Perhaps everything I’ve done until now might have been nearly impossible to accomplish. Or perhaps not… we don’t know.
And hopefully we won’t know about it in the future either.
“Thanks.” Giving her a light kiss, I nodded with a warm smile.
Public display of affection wasn’t that unfamiliar concept for the people of this city either. So, this little gesture of mine wasn’t that big a deal for those looking at us.
“So, what’s the plan now? Shall we go have lunch?”
“Oh! Oh! Yessss~! Let’s go have lunch~!”
“I’m famished as well.”
Just like these two cuties, the rest of our party members were hungry after all the fun they have had as well.
“How about we go to that place in the west that Elder uncle told us about? Carla? You’ve been there as well, right?”
“Hmm? The grilled meat place?! We’re going there~?”
“If everyone wants. We have many other options-.”
“No no! Let’s go there~!”
The place that they were resting in was near a fountain and the fountain, just like this garden, was a pretty sight.

The people around us were wearing normal clothing, as well as lavish clothes like ours. But, they walked the same street, and there were no specific negative emotions on them when interacting with the common people of the city either.
Be it the rich merchants accompanied by their servants, or a common family taking a leisurely walk, everyone around us had a shiny vibe to them.
The atmosphere around us was pleasant, as I mentioned earlier. And, it ultimately made us happier as well.
“I don’t mind either. It sounds fun anyway.”

Cradle had a slip of tongue. It was a rare moment.
“Seems like everyone is on the same boat then.”
Since Anna had agreed already, the others didn’t have much of a choice anyway. And, since the rest of our guards will follow us regardless of where we are, asking them wasn’t going to change anything anyway.
“Let’s go to the [Hammy house] then.”
It was a delicacy in this part of the empire.
‘The common food items that one might find in this city were mostly seafood, or things that people cultivate on the islands.’
The imported meat was a rare thing here, and not just anyone could afford it.
And, even though we mainlanders eat it regularly anyway, the taste and the way they make any kind of ingredient here was bound to be different.
“It is said that instead of smokey, the things there taste more flavorful as they use unique techniques to make them.”
Carla liked that place quite a bit, and it seems like even Alf had been there.
But, since it was the first time for most of us, I left her to be our guide.
‘It wasn’t a big deal, but this elder sister of mine was certainly happy about it.’
