Chapter 1038 The City over the vast blue
[OP: ]
“Wow…”
“Welcome to our homeland, children.”
From a high vantage point, the coastal city of Heliox archipelago spreads out beautifully below.
Looking down at it from this height seems far more breathtaking than looking at the grand castle of the academy on the island of magic’s wealth.
“Collection of nine islands that are famous for their own unique characteristics… one of the most developed lands on the western continent that still exists alongside nature.” As Eon gazed at this fantastical piece of land present in the grand blue, a unique excitement steered up in his heart.
Under this afternoon sun, hundreds of ships were docked along the shore, their sails gently fluttering in the breeze.
A giant lighthouse stood tall on a nearby hill of the third island that seemed to be connecting the rest of the islands with one another, its light guiding boats safely into the harbour even at this bright hour.
Situated behind it was the grand house of the Lord of this entire treasure trove, an impressive building with detailed carvings and balconies that overlooked each side of the sea.
“And that’s where we will be staying for the following few weeks.”
Quin could not believe she was going to stay in such a place.
The grand Heliox estate that took up almost a third of the island it was situated on… the main house being a castle and the lighthouse being a separate part of this entire structure, the whole place seemed nothing less than something right out of a fairytale.
This was much more unique than what she had expected. Even though she had read about this place and seen a lot of magical pictures of it, they did not do justice to its actual beauty.
The colourful buildings lining the waterfront filled with life; merchants selling their goods, fishermen bringing in fresh catches, and children playing on the sandy beaches… not just the estate, but from what they could see from this height, even the city seemed like a prosperous place.
“Ooooooo…”
“Yes, it’s beautiful.”
Quin’s familiar, the oceanoid, could not help its excitement now that it was finally feeling the freshness of its home.
It wanted to jump right out of its shell, it was excited and it wanted to come out and play with all the fun people and friends that it had made, talk with the strange human that could speak its language.
It wanted to come out of its shell as soon as it could, and now that they were in a place that was perfect for it to gather its powers, it was going to try and hasten its arrival…
“It’s sooooooo pretttttttttty~!” Anna, especially, loved the other islands surrounding the city and the estate.
Lush green hills rising around the city on three sides, creating a stunning backdrop where land meets the sea. The vast expanse above them that turns into a blanket of stars, a scenery of some of the prettiest sunrises and sunsets that they will witness in the following few weeks…
The city, the ships, the sea, the islands, the estate, and the shores were not all there was to this whole archipelago. They had yet to see many things, and all of them, including Cradle and their president Zodiac who were accompanying them, were going to have quite a few fun experiences in this place.
Your journey continues at empire
Well, there were going to be many non-favorable experiences as well, but they were going to be a necessary ingredient in the whole equation.
“Alright now. Let’s go inside, everyone. We will be landing soon now.”
They had arrived at their destination, and they were going to land now.
Seeing the island from just this one angle wasn’t going to be that fun a thing, even with Eon’s unique third eye.
So, as their grandmother and the matriarch of Heliox had suggested, they were going to explore all nine of the islands later.
{ “Ohh! Ohh! I can feel the winds here~! Will we finally jump down from here~?” }
{ “No you dummies. Let’s go inside. We aren’t jumping down!” }
Mave had to drag all of them inside since more than half of them thought they would have to jump down now that they had reached their destination.
[ We will be landing now. Please clear the deck, everyone. ]
The captain made the announcement and everyone who was left on the deck proceeded to walk inside.
“Chry?”
Eon, Rein, Zoe, Anna, and others had cleared the place but for some reason, Chry was still standing on the railing.
There was a strange look of nostalgia in his eyes, as if he had been to this place, however, as long as Quin knew, this was the first time he was coming here.
“Oh, apologies. Let’s go…”
She wanted to ask him why he had that look on his face, but, seeing the bitter smile that he had right after he looked away from the City, she could not bring herself to ask that question.
She could tell he had felt some tough things in this place, she could feel his bitter feelings, and whatever might have caused them, she wasn’t going to be helpful with them.
She knew she would only have her support, her presence, and her words for him even if she asked him and he willingly told her. So, she did not ask him about this… for now.
He obviously knew she wasn’t asking him purposefully, but he simply smiled at her.
If the time was right, and if they were seeing a certain kind of sunset on the shore, he would tell her about it himself. If fate did not give them that chance though… he would have to see.
Ultimately, it would be up to her whether she genuinely wanted to know about it or not.
“You’re really going to make a revival elixir?”
“We will try, at least. If we succeed, we will have something that has not been around, if we fail… well, I guess we at least won’t die.
Headmaster’s there. We won’t have to worry about the extreme scenarios.”
The reason Eon had invited his presidents was simply to have them help with the creation of something that was thought to be impossible until now.
With the help of their headmaster, they were going to attempt creating something unique and unbelievable…
The death of an individual in this world was not their end, ways to revive someone existed, however they required either a lot of powerful people, or the authority of the divinities.
Reviving anyone without them was not possible, at least, it wasn’t thought to be possible. However, the special powers of one pinnacle skill that defied all logic might just be the way to create something that defies all logic.
And, they were going to try it while they were in this amazing place.
“I’m really excited for this, haha.”
“That I can see, dumbass.”
President Zodiac had done many crazy things with Eon.
He liked how he did not limit himself to logical or possible things. The way he looked beyond traditional possibilities was amazing… he was amazing. Perhaps, that was the reason he did not think twice before accepting his invitation to be part of this crazy experiment.
“You and your crazy shit, haaa.” Cradle was simply here to taste the new winds, food, and beauties of this place.
She had been to some other coastal cities, but this was her first time in the land of Heliox.
She knew there were many pretty faces in this place, so she was looking forward to some tasty catch.
[ Please brace yourself. ]
They had reached their destination, and their airship was now landing in the vast frontyard of their estate.
A group of twenty one people was already waiting for them, so, as the ship landed slowly and hit the ground, right outside the windows, they could see a certain face that resembled their uncle El’s.
“Ohh~! Mama! Look~! The young grandpa came to get us this time as well~!”
“Huhu, did you think he would be busy like the last time, little one?”
“Yessss~. But he’s here!”
The acting Vice-lord of house of Heliox, Luthor Edward Grizelda Von Ethan Griffin. A tall and strong build a little thinner than their grandpa’s. Long blue hair resembling their uncle’s. However, unlike the rest of them, his eyes were a darker shade of pink… not light like Rein’s, but something darker. Something that he inherited from their great grandmother.
-Shrrrrrrrrr…
The ship had landed so they all went back outside.
A staircase leading downstairs was created already, so they met the staff of the airship and first thanked all of them including the captain that had brought them here safely.
Then, since Anna was so excited about meeting her ‘young’ grandfather, she started running towards the stairs… but Zoe stopped her and picked her up.
If she was running in that dress of hers, she was definitely going to trip and they did not want that, so she walked down the magical stairs of the airship with her little sister.
“Wow wow. Look who we have here~.”
He had a strict looking personality like those difficult to approach academic professors. And perhaps he actually had a personality like that.
However, when it came to their little Master of Heliox, there was no force in this world that was going to stop him from smiling warmly at this little angel.
“Young grandpa~! Hehe, hello~!”
They were finally in the great land of pirates and shorekeepers.
For Eon, Zoe, Chry, as well as for the Povpoi, Miss Moon and sir Zuroro, this was going to be their first official meeting with this person.
However…
“Hmmm?”
“Hmm? What…?”
Through some strange play of fate…
“You…!”
“Aren’t you the same girl that…”
Quin and the vice lord of Heliox were already acquainted.
“…!”
“Hmm?”
“…?”
This was a story that the others did not know about, and she did not think they would know about it as well.
But, fate worked in many mysterious ways.
They would realise that once more…
