Invincible Young Master in the City
Chapter 2230: Ming Wu and Huan’er
Chapter 2230: Chapter 2226: Ming Wu and Huan’er
Even if Ye Fan’s cultivation had greatly improved, he still couldn’t wake up the girl in front of him.
He couldn’t help but feel a sense of helplessness: “It seems there is still a gap between my cultivation and that of the people from the Pantheon. If I could be like them, I could directly use my power to wake up the girl in front of me. I would know why I have that feeling towards her in my heart. I’m ultimately not a god and can’t do everything at will.”
Just as Ye Fan felt slightly lost, the Mysterious Woman suddenly said, “Sang Yuan is here.”
Ye Fan also noticed Sang Yuan was coming over, accompanied by two girls he didn’t know either.
Since the Mysterious Woman created Sang Yuan, she tended to favor Sang Yuan in many matters. When Sang Yuan brought the two girls—or rather, a mature woman and a girl who looked familiar to Ye Fan—up to the Hundred Immortals Building, Ye Fan didn’t let Sang Yuan bring the two women up.
Sang Yuan came upstairs first, bowed, and said, “Master, the Empress of the Han Zhu Kingdom and an old acquaintance have come to visit.”
“Hmm?” Ye Fan looked slightly skeptical. He vaguely remembered matters related to the Han Zhu Kingdom, having visited it after his amnesia. As for the so-called “old acquaintance”, he had no impression.
“Bring them up!” Ye Fan casually responded.
Immediately, Sang Yuan descended a level and brought up the Empress of the Han Zhu Kingdom, Ming Wu, along with a girl who looked almost identical to Li Zhaojun.
Ye Fan was somewhat surprised by the girl’s appearance. He still had some impressions of Li Zhaojun in the depths of his memory, but he did not remember meeting this girl.
“Who is she?” Ye Fan’s gaze fell on this girl.
Sang Yuan said, “Could it be, Master, you’ve forgotten? She’s the girl you brought back, who looks very similar to the mistress. Her name is Huan’er.”
“You…” Huan’er wanted to say something but dared not speak further after a stern glance from Sang Yuan. Huan’er’s cultivation could not significantly improve. Although she once had status, with Ye Fan’s amnesia, she now had to rely on Sang Yuan to meet him again.
Ye Fan looked at Ming Wu again and said, “You are the Empress of the Han Zhu Kingdom.”
“Yes, Lord Divinity.” Ming Wu knelt down, appearing very respectful, “Thank you for what you’ve done for your loyal followers. I am willing to offer everything to you in exchange for your further protection of my people.”
Ye Fan still had many doubts in his heart; he hadn’t been able to figure out some things, like who exactly the two women in front of him were. His impressions were unclear.
The Mysterious Woman suddenly said coldly, “Since an old acquaintance has come to visit, I will leave now. You said you wouldn’t stop me. I don’t want to help you imprison those Immortals for now; with Xi He around, it seems I don’t need to assist in any way.”
After speaking, the Mysterious Woman left without Ye Fan’s approval.
When only the three women with open eyes and one girl with closed eyes, unconscious, remained in the Hundred Immortals Building, Ye Fan felt somewhat perplexed.
“Let’s talk downstairs.” Ye Fan decided not to disturb the unconscious girl and headed directly to the next level. As soon as he went down, Ming Wu, donned in a yellow dragon robe, slowly approached him and knelt down respectfully once again.
“What are you doing?” Ye Fan looked at Ming Wu, who was kneeling before him.
Sang Yuan said, “Could it be, Master, you’ve forgotten? Ming Wu once sacrificed to your statue for your protection. Since then, she has been a loyal believer of yours and admired her, even keeping her by your side.”
“Is that so?” Ye Fan looked at Ming Wu.
“Yes.” Ming Wu replied devoutly, “To see you again, my lord, I’ve traveled across mountains and rivers, but you never had time to grant me an audience. Now, I finally meet you; even if I were to die, I would do so without regret!”
After speaking, Ming Wu kissed Ye Fan’s boot—a gesture of profound devotion.
Ye Fan said nothing, aware of his status in the universe and how he was deserving of such worship and respect.
He then looked at Huan’er and said, “About my history with her…”
Sang Yuan seemed to avoid the topic and said, “Master, you’ve experienced many things with the mistress, but the mistress couldn’t… achieve a happy ending with you. After the ceremony of your wedding with the mistress, you were with Miss Huan’er. You previously regarded her as an incarnation of the mistress.”
“Oh.” Ye Fan shook his head; he seemed entirely unable to recall what Sang Yuan had described.
Sang Yuan glanced at Huan’er and admonished in a stern tone, “What are you waiting for, come over?”
Huan’er appeared a little frightened but slowly approached. As she got close, Sang Yuan stopped her and asked, “Master, shall these two women stay or be sent away?”
“Since they were once my women, let’s have them stay for now.” Ye Fan exhaled as he replied.
“Aren’t you going to thank the master for his compassion? Do you need me to teach you what to do?” Sang Yuan, like a high and mighty woman, spoke arrogantly to Huan’er and Ming Wu, as if she could issue commands freely.
Ming Wu seemed to obey Sang Yuan’s orders. She stood up but did not approach further, instead turning around and walking away, slowly opening her dragon robe.
As she was facing away from Ye Fan, he could only see the pattern on her back.
Sang Yuan explained, “The master accepted her because of the secret hidden on her back. But whether it would help restore your memory remains unknown.”
Ye Fan glanced at it, shook his head, but still walked slowly behind Ming Wu. Ming Wu seemed to face Ye Fan for the first time, walked to a chair, and slowly knelt before it, even bowing her head down.
“Are you my woman or my believer?” Ye Fan seemed to be asking or perhaps merely stating.
Ming Wu did not answer, instead using a more direct approach as an answer.
Ye Fan did not choose too direct a manner, as Sang Yuan seemed more proactive than Ming Wu. Sang Yuan proved her position beside Ye Fan, while Huan’er appeared like an innocent girl oblivious to worldly matters, lacking the necessary foresight for the present events.
“If you don’t want to stay, you can leave anytime.” Sang Yuan knelt down and admonished Huan’er, “This is your last chance; whether to seize it is your own choice.”
