Ye Fan carefully examined the situation in the second secret realm, and it was much better than he had imagined.

Although there were signs that Xi He and the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman had remodeled it, it was like a paradise on earth. Ye Fan felt that if a human lived here, it would be like living in a utopia.

"When will you move those humans over, Master?" Xi He asked.

Ye Fan shook his head slightly and said, "There’s no rush to do that. I still want to know how the next heavenly tribulation will unfold, and... I also want to explore the universe for other places where humans can live."

"Hmm." Xi He nodded, "If humans can survive in the ordinary universe, it might be better than living in such a secret realm. At least they know the meaning of their existence. Here, even with so-called scientific technology, they cannot escape their shackles."

Ye Fan looked at Nu Ying and said, "Why aren’t you speaking? What are you thinking?"

Nu Ying said, "Does it matter what I think to you? I just want to know when you’ll let me go. I don’t want to stay here. It has nothing to do with me."

"Then we don’t need to linger here either!" Ye Fan didn’t argue with Nu Ying. He reached out, and both Nu Ying and Xi He felt their bodies enveloped by a powerful force. Then, they followed Ye Fan and left the second secret realm.

On Earth, the fourth heavenly tribulation had just concluded, and Li Zhaojun finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It was already night, and the whole city of Hua Hai had fallen into silence. Li Zhaojun stood by the window, and after a long time, she sighed and said, "At least Earth is still safe. People here have not felt the crisis of the heavenly tribulation."

The only one with her in the room was Min Shang. Min Shang looked at Li Zhaojun with a puzzled expression and asked, "Isn’t there anything else, sister, besides ensuring Earth’s safety, that you’d pursue?"

"I won’t think about it for now. As long as we can live here peacefully, that’s the best outcome. We need Ye Fan to protect us, but even if he’s not with us, should we avoid doing anything? If you’re tired, sister, go and rest. We might need to set up an array later!" Li Zhaojun said.

Min Shang shook her head helplessly, "Sister, you’re really too pessimistic. It feels like you’re only thinking about Ye Fan. We should consider other things."

"I really have nothing else to think about," Li Zhaojun sighed lightly.

Then Min Shang walked step by step towards Li Zhaojun. Just as Li Zhaojun was wondering what Min Shang was going to do, Min Shang suddenly leaned forward and gave Li Zhaojun a gentle kiss.

"Hmm?" Li Zhaojun was clearly a bit confused about what was happening, but then she remembered. She recalled being trapped with Min Shang in a closed environment, feeling as if decades had passed. During that time, the two of them relied on each other, sustained only by the belief of seeing Ye Fan again.

Min Shang smiled slightly and said, "Sister, isn’t it nice?"

Li Zhaojun’s face finally softened a bit, and she playfully said, "Shang, your attitude is much better than others. I even admire you. It’s not been easy getting this far. If I have the chance, I’ll take you around various places on Earth. That’s the beautiful life."

"Sister already promised me that I’d get to live a normal girl’s life. I’ve kept that in mind, so you can’t go back on it," Min Shang said with a bright smile.

Just as Li Zhaojun wanted to continue speaking, Min Shang approached again, even more passionately than before.

Before she knew it, Li Zhaojun felt herself melt into Min Shang’s fervor. Then a shadow of someone filled her mind—Ye Fan. She found herself hoping even more for Ye Fan’s return.

Only after Min Shang’s breaths became uneven did they part.

Li Zhaojun looked at Min Shang with affectionate eyes and said, "Shang, I hope Ye Fan can come back soon. By then, we can truly be sisters... Suddenly, it feels like everything we’re doing has meaning."

"Hmm." Min Shang smiled, her smile even more charming and enchanting, which made Li Zhaojun cherish this little sister-like woman even more.

In the depths of the universe, in a place that seemed like an illusion, Lu Xiaoman was still being held captive. She had not yet found a way to escape.

"What do I do? I don’t even know how long I’ve been here. It feels like purgatory. How can I leave here? When will Ye Fan come to save me?"

Lu Xiaoman was very worried; she feared she wouldn’t be able to leave and would never see Ye Fan again. No matter how she struggled, she couldn’t break free. To her, this place felt like a bottomless cage.

The woman who had imprisoned her had not appeared again, and Lu Xiaoman felt like her eyes couldn’t see anything. Just when she was feeling hopeless, she suddenly sensed a light before her. She then entered into this light, and her spiritual sense seemed to enter an illusory space.

"Hmm?" Lu Xiaoman was surprised by the scene before her. She had no idea where this place was, but she felt as though she had entered a fantastical space that seemed to return to Earth.

"How did I get here?" Lu Xiaoman was astonished. She felt she was in a big city on Earth, and everyone seemed so real. But she knew it should be impossible for her to return to Earth.

After looking for a while, she shook her head and said, "No, this must be a dream. How could I possibly be here?"

At that moment, she saw a familiar person, another "herself," who looked almost the same but she could sense it was Mo Xiaoyan.

"Xiaoyan? Sister..." Lu Xiaoman wanted to shout out to the woman in front of her, but she found she couldn’t speak.

Mo Xiaoyan seemed unable to sense her presence as well. Lu Xiaoman suddenly saw another figure, in the same big city and seemingly on the same street. The figure felt very familiar to her—it was Tantai Wanrong.

"I must be dreaming. But the people I’m dreaming of seem to all be connected to Ye Fan. What’s happening to me?"

Lu Xiaoman wanted to break free from this "dream" but found she didn’t have the ability to do so. It was harder than being trapped in darkness.

Even though she knew her environment wasn’t real, she couldn’t escape, and even her conscious mind was becoming blurry, filling her with more unease.
