Invincible through Touching Corpses

Chapter 744: The End of the Great War (Part 1)

Lin Xinghai’s words left Zuo Wenya and Chen Yushi shaken.

They had never imagined that a transformed organ could have such a profound effect. Not only did it significantly aid one’s Cultivation, but it also stored almost eight times more Blood Qi Power than an ordinary organ.

In other words, one transformed organ was equivalent to at least eight normal organs—and that wasn’t even its limit.

It was only then that Zuo Wenya and the others, as people who had re-cultivated the Marrow Tempering Realm, truly understood what they had missed out on.

Although the total amount of Blood Qi Power added by a single transformed organ was nothing significant to Divine Demon Realm experts like them…

The issue was that as one’s strength increased, their internal organs would also be continuously strengthened. By the time they reached the Divine Demon Realm, the amount of Blood Qi Power a transformed organ could hold would be absolutely terrifying.

At the same time, they also came to understand just how terrifying the Abyssal Plane’s conspiracy truly was.

Thankfully, Lin Xinghai had now uncovered this truth about the Marrow Tempering Realm. Otherwise, in the future final battle between humanity and the Abyssal Plane, their side would be lacking an entire major Realm of Cultivation. There would be no way to fight.

Even now, they had to buy time and let Lin Xinghai’s generation mature.

After that, Zuo Wenya and Chen Yushi asked no more questions, instead waiting in silence. They also wanted to know just how far a transformed organ could be pushed to its limit.

The three of them continued to rapidly absorb the Blood Bags. They all thought this would continue until the end of the battle, but they had only just begun absorbing again when Chen Yushi’s Communication Device rang.

“Hello! Where’s the rescue location this time?” Chen Yushi asked immediately after accepting the call.

He assumed it was another rescue mission.

“Er… you’ve misunderstood. This isn’t a rescue mission. Military command has decided to give you a new assignment,” Tang Xingbang said right away.

“A new assignment?” Chen Yushi frowned slightly. Frankly, he was a little reluctant to take it, worried that the task would hinder their progress, especially Lin Xinghai’s.

“Correct. The situation in Zone C has stabilized, so command wants you to head to Zone B to provide assistance,” Tang Xingbang stated.

Hearing it was just a request like that, all three of them breathed a quiet sigh of relief. As long as they weren’t interrupted from absorbing Blood Bags, anything was fine.

“Alright, no problem. We’ll head over now,” Chen Yushi replied at once.

Soon, the trio arrived in Zone B. From there, they did the same as before: continuously hunting Mutated Zombies while rushing from place to place to provide aid.

It was worth noting, however, that Lin Xinghai hadn’t expected to hunt so many Mutated Zombies after joining the fray. His consumption of Depleted Uranium Armor-Piercing Rounds was a bit beyond his expectations.

Ultimately, he had to have the military send another shipment over.

Of course, this was a trivial matter. Given the combat achievements of Lin Xinghai’s group, even if he asked the military to send over a hundred Cloud Burst Bombs for him to blast for fun, they would have sent them without a second thought, as long as he could kill a Fourth Level Mutated Zombie with them.

Time continued to pass. Soon, nearly 40 minutes had gone by since Lin Xinghai’s group arrived in Zone B.

At a certain moment, his body gave an imperceptible shudder, and a complex expression, a mixture of regret and delight, appeared on his face.

“What is it?” Zuo Wenya immediately asked.

“It’s nothing. The Blood Qi Power stored in my heart has just reached saturation.”

Before Zuo Wenya could ask, Lin Xinghai elaborated, “The total amount of Blood Qi Power stored in my heart is now 7,500 points, which is ten times that of a normal organ.”

Upon hearing this, Zuo Wenya and Chen Yushi instinctively glanced at each other.

“This information is critical. I’ll relay it to the Seed Plan Execution Department through the General Staff later,” Zuo Wenya stated immediately.

“Your academy’s methods for training top geniuses will probably change as well, won’t they?” Chen Yushi chimed in.

“Correct.” Zuo Wenya nodded. “The effects of a transformed organ are so significant that the academy will certainly increase its support in this area. It might even become a mandatory requirement.”

“For example, by the third year, perhaps only students with transformed organs will be eligible to be designated as First Class Students.”

Chen Yushi gave a noncommittal nod, his mind already pondering what kind of impact such a change would have on the military.

After all, the academies weren’t the only ones cultivating talent. The military had its own training institutions, filled entirely with its own elites.

But while Zuo Wenya and Chen Yushi were contemplating major matters of the future, Lin Xinghai’s attention was focused entirely on himself.

‘Now that the upper limit for my heart’s Blood Qi Power is known, my stomach’s should be the same. That means these two organs alone will provide me with 15,000 points of Blood Qi Power.’

‘Beyond that, the other nine organs can each store 750 points of Blood Qi Power, for a total of 6,750 points.’

‘The Blood Qi Power from all my internal organs combined already reaches a staggering 21,750 points.’

‘Add to that the 3,833 points of Blood Qi Power I already have in my blood vessels and meridians, and my total Blood Qi Power will reach an incredible 25,583 points once I hit my limit.’

Lin Xinghai’s breath quickened at the thought of such an enormous number.

Such a vast amount of Blood Qi Power would give his combat endurance a massive boost. Even when he used the accompanying Cultivation Technique for his Thunder Divine Body in the future, he wouldn’t have to worry too much about the consumption rate.

Moreover, if he already possessed over 25,000 points of Blood Qi Power in the Marrow Tempering Realm, then when he broke through to the Body Shaping Realm, or even the Divine Demon Realm, his total Blood Qi Power would surely skyrocket once more.

He barely dared to imagine how enormous his total Blood Qi Power would be by the time he broke through to the Divine Demon Realm.

Of course, he was confident it would be a level that even Zuo Wenya and the others could only look up to in awe.

More importantly, every stage of the entire Cultivation System was interconnected. He had, in a sense, broken through humanity’s limits in the Marrow Tempering Realm, and the effects of that breakthrough would gradually manifest in the next stage.

Lin Xinghai forcibly suppressed his excitement and continued to absorb the Blood Bags.

After all, he had only filled his heart with Blood Qi Power; his stomach was still waiting.

His stomach currently only had 750 points of Blood Qi Power. It was still 6,750 points short of its 7,500-point limit. At his absorption rate of four Blood Bags per minute, he would need almost three hours.

And now, with the military carrying out a large-scale purge of the Abyssal Creatures, the number of Blood Bags was rapidly dwindling. He couldn’t afford any accidents.
