Chapter 90: Chapter 86: Jiang Hao Transforming into a Bandit, Nine Mountains and Eighteen Peaks

Looking at the infuriated figures behind him, Jiang Hao smiled indifferently. He immediately sheathed his sword, turned around, and soared toward the depths of the Ancient Emperor Sect ruins.

In just a few breaths, his figure had concealed itself, vanishing from the sight of those behind him.

"What a miscalculation. In the end, we actually let this kid be the first to enter the ruins."

"No, we have to find a way to get in quickly. We absolutely cannot let him beat us to it."

The several terrifying figures all charged the array with all their might, even risking taking the brunt of some of the killing intents.

Meanwhile, after shaking off the group, Jiang Hao rapidly flew toward the Ancient Emperor Sect. Though he had used Sword Qi to disrupt the great array, it obviously wouldn’t hold those figures back for long. As he tore through the air, he observed this world.

When Jiang Hao clearly saw the world behind the great array, he was so astonished he was practically speechless. Behind the great array stood pavilions and towers wreathed in Spiritual Qi. Swaths of ancient architecture loomed indistinctly, still standing tall and unyielding.

"Are these the ruins of the Ancient Emperor Sect? After endless eons, these buildings are actually still brimming with Immortal Spirit Qi. Truly worthy of being an Ancient Divine Sect."

If he hadn’t known beforehand that these were the ruins of a sect, Jiang Hao would have suspected he had trespassed into an active Divine Sect, where a supreme sect protector might strike him down with a single sword strike at any moment. Unfortunately, the place was long abandoned, completely devoid of people. What shocked Jiang Hao even more was that this sect was unimaginably vast, completely unlike what he had envisioned.

After flying at full speed for a full hour, Jiang Hao finally arrived before a series of terrifying Spirit Peaks.

"The Seventy-six Peaks of the Outer Sect?"

When he saw the ancient stone steles standing before the countless Spirit Peaks, Jiang Hao nearly coughed up blood in exasperation. He was now a peerless freak of Spirit Transformation. After flying at full speed for so long, he had only just reached the central area of this ancient sect’s Outer Sect! However, the more this was the case, the more it proved the past magnificence and brilliance of this sect.

Jiang Hao didn’t linger in the Outer Sect region; he immediately flew toward the mountain gate of the Inner Sect. Since he was here seeking opportunities, the Inner Sect was undeniably his top priority. Any inheritance worth its salt likely wouldn’t be placed in the Outer Sect area. But when Jiang Hao flew over the Seventy-six Peaks of the Outer Sect, he was dumbfounded.

Standing atop the Seventy-six Peaks of the Outer Sect and looking inward, what he saw was even more soul-shaking. Amidst the ebb and flow of boundless Spiritual Mist, countless Spirit Peaks stood tall. They were innumerable, as vast as the open sea. And upon every single Spirit Peak sat majestic pavilions and jade towers, all showcasing their former years of pinnacle glory.

Even more astonishingly, through the endless Spirit Peaks, Jiang Hao saw Eighteen Peaks—no, Divine Peaks—piercing straight into Yunxiao. The eighteen Divine Peaks seemed to touch the sky, their summits out of sight. Not only that, behind the eighteen Divine Peaks were nine Divine Mountains that resembled celestial curtains. Suspended at the pinnacle of the Divine Mountains and Divine Peaks was an incomparably massive plaque radiating an imperial aura. On it read: Nine Mountains and Eighteen Peaks!

"The Inner Sect’s domain?"

With just a glance, Jiang Hao knew that this was the Ancient Emperor Sect’s Inner Sect—the foundational heart of a true Divine Sect. Regrettably, however, a terrifying great array was still slowly operating around the Inner Sect, fiercely guarding the Nine Mountains and separated by a celestial curtain.

"You’ve got to be kidding me. The Inner Sect ruins haven’t opened yet?"

Looking at that celestial curtain, Jiang Hao couldn’t help but complain. Obviously, the Inner Sect of the Ancient Emperor Sect had yet to open; right now, only the Outer Sect domain was accessible. In that case, what was the difference between being the first to enter and the last? Wouldn’t he still have to wait for the Inner Sect to open?

The good news, however, was that the Outer Sect’s gates were wide open, meaning he would definitely reap some rewards. The even better news was that the celestial curtain and the inner array only covered the Nine Mountains; the Inner Sect’s Eighteen Peaks were outside their range.

"Heaven never seals off all paths. Haha, I, Jiang, will beat them to it."

With a loud laugh, Jiang Hao immediately flew toward the Eighteen Peaks. As for the peaks beneath his feet, he didn’t even give them a second glance.

It wasn’t long before Jiang Hao landed on a Divine Peak. The moment he stepped onto it, the terrifyingly dense Spiritual Qi nearly made him unable to take another step.

"If one were to cultivate here year-round, the speed of cultivation would be unimaginable."

Sighing in admiration, Jiang Hao wasn’t swayed by this petty gain before him and resisted the urge to cultivate on the spot. Immediately, after a quick sweep of his surroundings, Jiang Hao took the Spatial Ring off his hand and walked toward what appeared to be the most luxurious palace on the peak.

Looking at the large words written on the palace—"Profound Nether Peak Scripture Pavilion"—Jiang Hao grinned from ear to ear. What he lacked the most right now was Cultivation Techniques and martial skills. This was practically a treasure trove for his future cultivation path. Especially when he charged into the Scripture Pavilion and saw those dust-covered but un-plundered copies, Jiang Hao was trembling with excitement. He had never seen so many Cultivation Techniques and martial skills in his life.

He thought, "No time to be picky. In for a penny, in for a pound—they’re all mine!"

With that thought, Jiang Hao instantly transformed into a bandit. Any Cultivation Techniques and martial skills placed on the top shelves were wholesale swept into his Spatial Ring. At this moment, Jiang Hao was like a ruthless thug holding a massive sack, constantly harvesting countless book copies. What was even more terrifying was that this "sack" seemed bottomless, greedily swallowing everything up.

After ransacking the Profound Nether Peak’s Scripture Pavilion, he hit the Divine Artifact Tower, the Hidden Pill Pavilion, and didn’t even spare the Array Hall. After finishing his pillage of the Profound Nether Peak, he rushed non-stop to the other Divine Peaks, keeping himself blissfully busy.

However, just as Jiang Hao swept through his sixth peak, one terrifying aura after another began descending.

"Whatever. I’ll leave the rest for you guys. A man shouldn’t be too greedy."

Clutching his overstuffed Spatial Ring, Jiang Hao felt completely satisfied. He immediately laid low halfway up a Divine Peak and pushed his Concealment Art to its absolute limits.

The moment the figures entered the Eighteen Peaks, they flew toward the Divine Peaks, doing exactly what Jiang Hao had done. Regardless of whether the items were useful, they packed them away first. But soon enough, curses rang out.

"Damn it, this place has definitely been swept clean by that guy!"

"The nerve of that kid! He didn’t even leave us a scrap! He better pray I don’t catch him in here."

Furious roars echoed from the various peaks, though in truth, these lesser items weren’t that important to them. The truly terrifying inheritances were likely hidden within the Nine Mountains.

Just as Jiang Hao raised an eyebrow while listening to their rants, a sudden change occurred. BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

The entire Ancient Emperor Sect violently quaked as streaks of terrifying auras rocketed into the sky. The experts, standing in different locations, all looked toward the source of the commotion.

Behind that celestial curtain, within the Inner Sect’s great array, and amongst the Nine Mountains, countless terrifying pressures erupted from the ground. Streaks of divine light shot straight into Yunxiao.

"An Upper Spirit Magical Artifact? Is that... an Enlightenment Killing Weapon?"

"A Spirit Transformation Sacred Artifact? Divine King’s Soldiers? Extreme Dao Imperial Treasures?"

For a moment, everyone turned pale with shock, staring blankly at the earth-shattering phenomena amongst the Nine Mountains. Within the great array, sky-blotting Divine Weapons soared upward. As if sensing something, they looked as though they were about to shatter the array and break free.

It was blazingly obvious: these Divine Weapons were all Supreme Magical Artifacts that had manifested Artifact Spirits!
