Invincible Beyond Heavens: Cultivating With A Broken EXP System

Chapter 336: A Desperate Attack!

Su Fengyan stepped forward first.

He did not release any visible qi, nor did he display any exceptional physical defense. His movements were simple and unhurried, as though he were taking a leisurely walk. However, whenever a crystal beam shot toward him, a faint cyan glow flickered briefly across his body.

In that instant, the trajectory of the attack would shift ever so slightly.

The beams lost their aim, passing by him without ever making contact.

“This is not ordinary wind energy.”

“It is neither wind attribute qi nor pure wind intent.”

A few knowledgeable observers narrowed their eyes as realization dawned.

“This must be bloodline power. If I am not mistaken, it belongs to the ancient Feng Clan.”

Li Yun watched quietly, his gaze sharpening as he analyzed the scene.

“So one of his ancient bloodline legacies has revealed itself. I wonder what the second one is capable of.”

As this thought crossed his mind, Su Fengyan had already reached the Hidden Dragon Pool.

Without effort or resistance, he passed the trial.

Next to step forward was the second-ranked Li Hao.

The moment he moved, his figure shot forward like a streak of light, charging straight toward the Hidden Dragon Pool with astonishing speed. Crystal beams filled the sky as they descended toward him in dense waves, yet Li Hao showed no intention of dodging.

He merely cast a calm, almost indifferent glance at the incoming attacks, as if they posed no threat to him at all.

Sharp, crisp sounds rang out in rapid succession.

In that instant, a faint but terrifyingly sharp Saber Intent burst forth from his body. It spread outward like an invisible blade, cutting through the incoming crystal beams with effortless precision.

Each beam was sliced cleanly in half, as though fragile bamboo had been split by a master’s strike. By the time the last fragments scattered, Li Hao had already arrived beside the Hidden Dragon Pool without slowing down even once.

Soon after, thunderous impacts echoed through the area as Huang Chen made his move.

His presence was striking, his aura almost unreal, yet his demeanor carried a bold and unrestrained edge. He advanced with powerful strides, his movements brimming with vitality, like a dragon prowling forward or a tiger descending upon its prey.

Crystal beams surged toward him from every direction, whether in small numbers or in overwhelming swarms, yet he responded with nothing more than a casual wave of his hand. Each strike shattered the beams instantly, reducing them to fine dust that scattered into the air.

Time passed swiftly, no longer than the burning of a single incense stick. By then, the three leading geniuses had already cleared the trial, and seven more experts followed shortly after.

At that moment, Li Yun’s eyes sharpened.

“It is my turn,” he said quietly.

Lightning Wings unfurled behind his back, crackling with violent energy. With a single movement, his figure dissolved into a streak of lightning as he rushed toward the Hidden Dragon Pool.

His speed reached such an extreme level that the descending crystal beams could not even track his movement. Before they could strike, he had already crossed vast distances, leaving only fading afterimages in his wake.

However, just as he advanced smoothly, a furious roar suddenly erupted nearby.

“If I failed, then you will not pass either!”

The voice belonged to a Martial Artist at the third level of the Essence Qi Realm. His expression was twisted with anger and unwillingness. Under normal circumstances, he would have had a solid chance of passing the second round, but fate had turned against him.

A hundred crystal beams had descended upon him from every direction, leaving no opening to escape. With no way to evade such an attack, he had been forced into a desperate situation.

Knowing his failure was inevitable, he lashed out in madness.

A surge of powerful qi burst from his body, condensing into a massive eagle claw that shot toward Li Yun with vicious intent. His goal was clear. He wanted to drag Li Yun down with him, using him as a shield or a sacrifice.

Such people existed everywhere, those who could not accept their own defeat and would rather ruin others than face it alone.

Li Yun’s gaze turned cold the moment he sensed the incoming attack.

“You are courting death.”

His right Lightning Wing flickered sharply, transforming into a blade of pure lightning. It sliced through the incoming eagle claw with overwhelming force, tearing it apart in an instant.

Without pausing, Li Yun followed up with a sweeping motion. A crescent-shaped lightning blade surged forward and struck the Martial Artist directly in the chest.

Blood burst forth as the attack landed.

The man’s chest was torn open violently, revealing a gruesome wound deep enough to expose bone. His body was flung backward through the air, blood spraying wildly as his aura collapsed. He had already lost his chance to pass the trial, and with this injury, any remaining hope was completely extinguished.

“Bastard, you dare to injure me? I will never let you off!”

The Martial Artist roared with fury, his face twisted in hatred. Even after failing to drag Li Yun down and suffering a severe injury instead, he showed no trace of regret. His eyes burned with resentment as he glared at Li Yun, as though everything that had happened was somehow Li Yun’s fault.

A dull explosion echoed in the air.

Before he could act any further, more than a hundred crystal beams descended upon him at once. They engulfed his body completely, leaving no chance for resistance. In the next moment, his figure vanished without a trace as he was forcibly removed from the Dragon Palace.

Li Yun frowned slightly as the man’s voice faded.

“How ridiculous.”

He could not understand such twisted reasoning. The man had clearly been the one to launch a sneak attack, yet in the end, he acted as if he had been wronged. It was as though Li Yun was to blame for his failure. The logic was so absurd that it left Li Yun with no desire to dwell on it any further.

Shaking his head, he dismissed the matter entirely.

With a swift movement, his figure surged forward once again, continuing his advance toward the Hidden Dragon Pool.
