Invincible Beyond Heavens: Cultivating With A Broken EXP System

Chapter 314: Blood Battlefield!

Chapter 314: Blood Battlefield!

Shelves lined every wall, loaded with resources gathered over many years. There were spirit stones, jade bottles, ancient boxes, blood crystals, rare ores, beast cores, sealed weapons, cultivation scrolls, and treasures protected by lingering light barriers.

An ordinary martial artist would have gone mad with greed at such a sight.

Li Yun remained calm.

His eyes moved over everything else without lingering.

He searched shelf after shelf. He opened box after box. He inspected scroll after scroll.

Finally, his gaze stopped at a jade case resting at the deepest part of the chamber.

The case was sealed separately from the rest, clearly treated as the most valuable object in the vault.

Inside lay an ancient scroll.

Five glowing characters were inscribed across its surface.

Five Elemental Supreme Divine Art.

Li Yun stepped forward immediately and lifted the scroll carefully.

He opened it slightly.

The moment he did, a profound aura of perfectly balanced elemental energy flowed outward. The presence was ancient, deep, and vastly superior to ordinary cultivation methods.

Li Yun knew instantly that he had found what he came for.

He could not stop himself from laughing.

“So it really was hidden here.”

He carefully stored the Five Elemental Supreme Divine Art inside his storage space before turning his attention to the rest of the treasure vault.

Only now did he begin examining everything properly.

There were enormous quantities of spirit stones, enough to sustain long-term cultivation. Rare medicinal pills of high quality. Precious ores suitable for forging powerful weapons. Demonic beast cores rich in condensed energy.

Ancient weapons preserved through sealing methods. Blood path materials. Formation plates. Jade slips containing unknown techniques and records.

The wealth accumulated by the Blood Zombie Demon General was astonishing even by sect standards.

Li Yun did not hesitate in the slightest.

He waved his hand repeatedly, drawing treasure after treasure into his storage space. Shelves were emptied one after another. Boxes disappeared. Weapons vanished. Spirit stones were swept away in large quantities.

There was absolutely no reason to show restraint.

The Blood Zombie Demon General was dead.

Everything inside this vault now belonged to him.

“Good.”

Li Yun returned to the Five Elemental Bed and seated himself cross-legged upon its smooth surface. The moment he settled down, the balanced powers of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth began circulating beneath him in quiet harmony.

Streams of pure elemental energy entered his body gently, calming his meridians, soothing the fatigue left behind from battle, and allowing his restless mind to become clear once more.

Only after reaching a stable state did he take out the Iron Blood Banner and place it carefully across his knees.

The banner was silent at first. Its dark crimson cloth looked ancient and heavy, like fabric that had been dyed in blood countless times over many years. Black patterns covered its surface in winding lines that resembled veins, roots, or crawling serpents hidden beneath skin.

The moment it touched the air of the chamber, however, the atmosphere changed.

A faint metallic scent of blood spread slowly through the room. The temperature seemed to drop. Even the light around the chamber dimmed slightly, as though the banner itself swallowed brightness.

Li Yun narrowed his eyes and studied it carefully.

“Time to comprehend Killing Intent.”

He placed one palm upon the banner and slowly poured a steady stream of qi into it.

The response was immediate and violent.

The Iron Blood Banner began trembling fiercely. A deep humming sound rose from within it, heavy and ancient, like war drums beating beneath buried earth. The cloth floated upward on its own and unfolded fully before him, suspended in the air.

Scarlet runes ignited one after another across the fabric. Their light flooded the chamber in red brilliance, making the walls look as though they had been painted in fresh blood.

The Five Elemental Bed beneath Li Yun shone in response. Five streams of elemental radiance rose around him like protective currents, instinctively shielding his physical body from outside harm.

Then the true power within the banner awakened.

A terrifying wave of killing intent burst outward.

It did not strike Li Yun’s flesh. It bypassed his body entirely and pierced directly into his mind and soul.

This time Li Yun didn’t allow his Nine Tribulations Divine Eye to block the banner and instead he embraced it.

His vision darkened at once.

The chamber disappeared. The mountain disappeared. Even the sensation of his own body faded.

Then sight returned.

Li Yun found himself standing beneath a vast sky dyed red like flowing blood. Thick clouds rolled overhead while distant thunder rumbled endlessly. Yet no rain fell. Instead, drops of blood descended slowly from the heavens and struck the ground with soft splashes.

The land beneath his feet was not ordinary earth. It was a black battlefield soaked through with rivers of crimson. Broken sabers, shattered spears, snapped banners, and rusted armor littered the ground like remains of a forgotten age. Countless corpses were piled into mountains stretching farther than the eye could see.

A wind filled with the smell of slaughter swept across the plain.

Li Yun’s expression changed slightly. He could feel at once that this was not a common illusion. The Iron Blood Banner had dragged his consciousness into a remnant world formed from endless massacres and accumulated murderous will.

Hatred filled the air.

Pain clung to the soil.

Madness whispered through the wind.

Then the corpses began to move.

One after another, dead soldiers rose from the blood-soaked ground. Their eyes were hollow and lifeless, yet the weapons in their hands still carried killing intent. Tens of thousands of them lifted broken blades, jagged spears, and chipped axes before charging toward Li Yun in total silence.

His hand moved instinctively toward his sword.

There was nothing there.

He looked down and realized he stood unarmed.

The army was already upon him.

The first corpse warrior swung a rusted saber toward his neck. Li Yun stepped aside and drove his fist through its chest, shattering bone and flesh apart. Before he could recover, three spears stabbed toward his back. He twisted sharply, seized one shaft, snapped it in half, and thrust the broken pieces into two enemies behind him.

More enemies surged forward immediately.

They did not fear death. They did not feel pain. They did not retreat.

Li Yun was forced into constant battle.
