Chapter 753: Chapter 746: Element

At the very moment the mysterious cloaked figure issued a forced challenge to Chishan, the leader of the Red Scale Organization and the strongest person in the Deep Blue Safety Zone.

Inside the leader’s room at the Red Scale Organization headquarters in the Deep Blue Safety Zone.

The upper echelon of the Red Scale Organization was holding a meeting.

"We’ve received a message from the Silent Organization. They’ve given us an ultimatum: if we don’t pay them Tribute by the end of this month—at the same rate as the Black Eagle Organization—they will launch a formal attack on us. Everyone, what do you think? How should we proceed?"

Chishan, the leader, sat at the head of the table. His entire body was crimson, his muscles bulged like stone, and dark red scales covered him. His head was not human, but instead resembled some kind of fish.

"The defeat of Dark Nether Star’s leader at the hands of Bing Zhimou has had a massive impact. The entire power structure at the lower levels is being reshuffled. The Black Eagle Organization, as part of Dark Nether Star’s network of interests, can barely fend for itself now. I think we should find a new backer, and quickly."

Someone said in a deep voice.

"It’s true that the defeat of Dark Nether Star’s leader had a huge impact, but their foundation and power are still intact. They’ve just fallen into a bit of turmoil. Given the strength of their leadership, they’ll be able to suppress it quickly. If we switch sides now, we’ll be in big trouble when Dark Nether Star gets back on top."

Someone retorted.

"I, for one, don’t think the Silent Organization is much of a threat right now. All their energy is focused on their fight with Black Eagle. Even if we remain noncommittal, they won’t have the resources to deal with us anytime soon. I say we just drag it out and wait for the situation to clarify before making a decision..."

"Instead, I think we should be focusing more of our energy on the other safety zones in the area. We’re the strongest faction around here. In this chaotic situation, we might be able to pick up some extra benefits."

Someone suggested.

For a moment, conflicting opinions filled the room, giving Chishan, as the organization’s leader, a headache.

The defeat of a top-ten ranker didn’t just affect the individual; his entire, massive organization would feel the consequences.

’That woman, Bing Zhimou... how in the world did she do it? I hear she only arrived less than thirty years ago and has been in Chaotic Paradise for barely three. To have reached this level already... As expected of the most terrifying genius from the Sacred Lotus Civilization’s Binglian Clan in the last thousand years. They say she’s already broken into the top ninety of the all-time leaderboard. If she were willing to stay in the Paradise for over ten years, she could probably even challenge for the top twenty.’

’So it’s just like the rumors say. Are people like me really just stepping stones, placed here by the Primordial Star Organization for those unbelievably talented geniuses?’

Just as he was about to speak, a sudden jolt ran through him.

His eyes narrowed slightly. ℯℯ𝑙.

"Is something wrong?"

One of the men in the middle of the discussion quickly noticed the odd look on Chishan’s face and spoke up.

The others also stopped their discussion and turned to look at Chishan.

"I just received a forced challenge notification."

Chishan said in a low voice.

’A forced challenge notification?’

Upon hearing this, astonished expressions appeared on everyone’s faces.

’Someone actually issued a forced challenge to Chishan? Who was it?’

"Recently, it seems some candidates from the Low-level Civilizations have entered the Paradise. Could it be one of the powerful geniuses among them, someone who reached the clearance level required to issue a challenge?"

Someone asked in confusion.

"It’s a newcomer, but not a candidate from a Low-level Civilization. True, many candidates from Low-level Civilizations have joined us recently. However, that doesn’t mean members of prominent families from High-level Civilizations haven’t been arriving as well."

"See for yourselves."

Chishan pulled up the message interface on his True Talisman and showed the challenge notification to the group.

You have received a forced challenge. Proceed to the designated location at the appointed time tomorrow to complete the duel... Challenger: Dorobaku Hurricane.

The challenge notification was issued by the True Talisman System; there was nothing unusual about it. What really drew everyone’s attention was the challenger’s surname at the very end.

Hurricane...

"That surname..."

"Could it be one of the famous Elemental Clans from the Black Seal Civilization? The Hurricane Clan?!"

"It has to be. Who else would have a surname like that?"

"That’s one of the highest and most terrifying clans... a family with an ancient history, modified over many years by the Black Seal Civilization, possessing a terrifying Bloodline that has achieved elementalization..."

"..."

At the mention of the so-called Hurricane Clan, the expressions of everyone present changed.

It was simply that the fame of the Elemental Clans was too legendary.

"I just checked," Chishan said slowly. "This person has not yet broken through the First-layer Transformation Boundary."

Hearing this news, everyone present couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.

’If he hasn’t broken through the Transformation Boundary, then even with a Bloodline from a family like that, his power is probably limited.’

Chishan, sitting in the head seat, narrowed his eyes slightly.

’A member of an Elemental Clan, is it?’

...

...

The next day, the entire Deep Blue Safety Zone was in an uproar.

News that the Red Scale Leader, Chishan, had received a forced challenge spread rapidly throughout the Deep Blue Safety Zone.

Countless onlookers swarmed to the area, waiting around the dueling ground.

The time drew near.

Two figures slowly arrived at the dueling ground chosen by the True Talisman, all under the watchful gaze of the crowd.

A peculiar, pale gold mark had appeared on the surface of both of their bodies. It seemed to share some similarities with the power from the Life Protection Mechanism.

The Duel Seal.

This was the exclusive mark for a forced challenge, and it did indeed have similarities to the Life Protection Mechanism. Before the seal activated, only the two parties linked by it could harm one another.

It was a seal designed specifically for forced challenges.

On one side, a figure was completely shrouded in a black cloak, his features obscured. His steps were light, as if he were weightless.

On the other, the Red Scale Leader Chishan was massive, with bulging, blocky muscles. His body was covered in red scales, and his face was savage and terrifying.

"A Descendant of the Hurricane Clan?"

Chishan asked in a deep voice, looking at the black-cloaked person before him.

"That’s right. The Scale Beast Bloodline is considered one of the more powerful Bloodlines within the Red Moon Civilization. As someone who could dominate a safety zone and break through the First-layer Transformation Boundary, I hope you won’t disappoint me."

The man in the black cloak spoke calmly, slowly lifting the hood that covered his face to reveal his true features.

He had no physical body.

Beneath the cloak was a translucent humanoid figure that looked as though it had been formed from condensed gas. It was not a body of flesh and blood at all.
