Chapter 2510 - 2511: The Current State of the Mengzhu Tribe
Chapter 2510: Chapter 2511: The Current State of the Mengzhu Tribe
At this moment, Mengzhu Nasha was caught in a state of anxiety and indecision, unable to extricate herself.
In fact, since leaving the land of witchcraft, her emotions had become quite unstable.
Especially after entering the Domain of the Yin and Yang Clan, this condition became even more apparent.
This was evident from the way she would spend long periods staring blankly in the mirror every day.
Observing this, Mengzhu Tribe’s High Priest, Mengzhu Mei, sighed quietly and shook her head with a bitter smile.
She naturally understood why their Holy Maiden was so uneasy.
All because of that young man.
But Mengzhu Mei didn’t hold much hope for this romance, because from the first time she saw Xue An, she instinctively sensed that his mind was incredibly steadfast and would not be easily swayed.
Therefore, in her eyes, all of Mengzhu Nasha’s feelings were nothing but a one-sided fantasy, unlikely to ever be reciprocated.
Yet she did not voice these thoughts, instead choosing silence.
After all, matters of the heart cannot be resolved through persuasion unless personally experienced.
In contrast, she was more intrigued by the sudden change in attitude of the Witch God Cult.
Before this, the Jingchu clan, represented by the Mengzhu Tribe, could hardly speak of harmony with the Witch God Cult.
When the Witch God Cult’s interference led to a crisis for the Mengzhu Tribe, and even caused the fall of their deity, the atmosphere between the two was even more tense.
Frankly speaking, if it weren’t for the insufficient strength of the Mengzhu Tribe at the time, a direct conflict might have erupted.
Who would have expected that such a heinous and arrogant entity would undergo a complete turnaround.
When Mengzhu Nasha initially proposed contacting and allying with the Witch God Cult, almost the entire Mengzhu Tribe objected.
Yet all opposition vanished under the single assertion that it was Mr. Xue’s order.
Even Mengzhu Xiong and many elders of the Mengzhu Tribe had prepared for a desperate battle.
Unexpectedly, when Mengzhu Nasha’s letter reached the Witch God Cult, they responded immediately.
The Holy Maiden of the Witch God Cult came alone to express her sincerest apologies for past misunderstandings and formed an alliance with the Mengzhu Tribe.
What happened afterward could only be described as magical.
Upon ascending to the Divine Position of Moon Mother Shouna, Mengzhu Nasha seemed to transform and, in alliance with the Witch God Cult, began reorganizing the entire Jingchu clan.
The process was fraught with twists and turns, and many believed the Mengzhu Tribe had betrayed the Jingchu clan, yet the final result was a forced unification.
Thus, the Jingchu clan, fragmented for thousands of years, miraculously reunited and merged with the Witch God Cult to form a massive army, marching toward the Yin and Yang Clan.
Because of this, many within the Mengzhu Tribe began to revere Mengzhu Nasha as the highest authority.
They believed it was under her leadership that the Mengzhu Tribe achieved such heights.
Only Mengzhu Mei understood that all of this originated from that man.
After all, the Witch God Cult’s change began after Xue An disappeared for a period.
Before leaving, Xue An personally instructed Mengzhu Nasha to merge with the Witch God Cult.
No one would believe there were no hidden secrets here.
But the key question was how did Mr. Xue manage it?
Mengzhu Mei had secretly observed and found no significant change in the Witch God Cult; it was still the same group of people.
Only the young woman Shu Ling’er in the Witch God Cult seemed to have gained more power and influence.
Besides this, the Sect Hierarch of the Witch God Cult had become more low-profile, staying away from public view, with much being managed by Shu Ling’er.
But this didn’t seem like a remarkable change!
Just as Mengzhu Mei was perplexed, a servant entered from outside the cabin.
"High Priest, the Holy Maiden of the Witch God Cult has suddenly arrived, requesting to see Moon Mother Shouna."
"Hmm?"
Mengzhu Mei was taken aback. Shu Ling’er arrived? And she requested to see the Holy Maiden, what was her purpose?
Though puzzled, she nodded immediately, saying, "Let her in, I’ll inform Moon Mother Shouna at once!"
"Yes!"
The servant turned and left, while Mengzhu Mei, filled with curiosity, went to the temporary small Divine Temple built at the back of the cabin.
At this moment, Mengzhu Nasha was sitting in front of a mirror, lost in thought.
Her eyes were dreamy and vacant, completely oblivious to Mengzhu Mei’s entrance.
Seeing this, Mengzhu Mei couldn’t help but lightly cough.
"Moon Mother Shouna, the Holy Maiden of the Witch God Cult, Shu Ling’er, has come to see you!"
Mengzhu Nasha jolted and immediately snapped out of her daze.
"Shu Ling’er is here?"
"Yes!"
"Did she mention why?"
"She did not!"
"Very well, let her in then!"
Mengzhu Nasha instructed and then stood up, her delicate, slightly youthful face glowing with a faint, holy moonlight.
Mengzhu Mei didn’t quite understand why their Holy Maiden was so solemn, but she nodded and turned to leave.
Moments later, Shu Ling’er moved gracefully into the cabin.
Upon seeing Mengzhu Mei, Shu Ling’er smiled sweetly.
"High Priest, I have important matters to discuss with your Moon Mother Shouna. Where is she now?"
Mengzhu Mei pointed inside, "Our Moon Mother is waiting for you in the Divine Temple at the back!"
Shu Ling’er nodded and then stepped into the Divine Temple.
Mengzhu Mei was indeed curious, wanting to know why this woman, now calling the shots in the Witch God Cult, had come.
So she moved to the door of the temple, cautiously leaning in to listen.
Normally, such important places would have an array to block sound, but today seemed to be an exception.
Before Mengzhu Mei even reached the door, she heard a cry of surprise from inside.
"What did you say?"
It was Mengzhu Nasha’s voice.
Mengzhu Mei’s heart tightened; she instinctively wanted to rush in, but logic held her back.
She didn’t believe this Holy Maiden of the Witch God Cult would dare flagrantly harm their Moon Mother Shouna.
But then what was that cry about?
As she wondered, the temple doors were suddenly flung open, and Mengzhu Nasha hurried out without saying a word and rushed outside.
Mengzhu Mei had no idea what had transpired and didn’t have time to stop Mengzhu Nasha before she vanished from sight.
"What... what’s going on here?" Mengzhu Mei said, dumbfounded.
"Hehe, don’t worry, High Priest; your Moon Mother Shouna merely heard some good news and got a bit excited. She’ll return shortly!"
Shu Ling’er leisurely walked out from the temple and said with a smile.
"What good news?" Mengzhu Mei couldn’t help but ask.
"Well...," Shu Ling’er smiled mysteriously, "That’s not convenient for me to disclose!"
