Chapter 2072: Chapter 2073: Unveiling the Truth (Second Update)
Li Xuanyi didn’t expect Xue An to arrive so quickly. Caught off-guard, he had no choice but to brace himself and clash fists with Xue An.
Bang!
A deep, resounding noise accompanied by a few crisp bone-cracking sounds followed, as Li Xuanyi was sent flying backwards. By the time he steadied himself, the bones below his elbows had been completely shattered.
Li Xuanyi’s face twisted in pain, and he looked at Xue An with shock in his eyes.
"Aren’t you a Sword Cultivator? How is your fist technique so powerful?"
"Who told you I was just a Sword Cultivator?" Xue An smiled faintly, his eyes suddenly flashing with a cold light.
"That punch just now was just for fun. Now... take this next punch!"
With that, Xue An disappeared from where he stood again.
Li Xuanyi’s hair immediately stood on end, his muscles tensed up, and his vigilance heightened to the maximum, afraid of being ambushed by Xue An like before.
But it was all in vain.
Without Li Xuanyi realizing it, Xue An’s figure slowly appeared behind him and casually blew a breath towards the back of his neck.
Li Xuanyi jolted in shock, but it was too late to turn around. He could only throw a punch backwards.
However, Xue An seemed to have anticipated this punch, slightly shifted to the side, and easily dodged it.
Following this, Xue An leisurely reached forward and planted a palm squarely on Li Xuanyi’s back.
Crack-crack.
Along with a series of snapping sounds resembling firecrackers, Li Xuanyi’s shoulder blade, ribs, and even spine were shattered under Xue An’s palm.
The immense force sent him flying, tumbling several times in the air before he barely landed.
Watching the situation unfold, Dou Yin’an, who had been sneaking peeks, was left dumbfounded.
He initially thought that even if Li Xuanyi wasn’t a match for Xue An, he could at least hold on for a while.
But who would’ve imagined that in such a short time, Li Xuanyi would be beaten and vomiting blood continuously?
The shock was so immense that his response lagged a bit, allowing a zombie to seize the opportunity and punch him in the left shoulder.
Dou Yin’an staggered back a few steps, pain evident on his face, but quickly recollected himself and roared angrily.
"You’re not Li Jingxing. That guy is a complete sword fanatic and would never harm with fists, so who exactly are you?"
The voice echoed through the armory, and Xue An smiled faintly.
"When did I ever say I was Li Jingxing? You’ve been speculating all along, and as for who I am..."
A flash of light passed through Xue An’s eyes, and all his disguises vanished, revealing his true appearance.
Seeing the white-robed young man before them, both Dou Yin’an and Li Xuanyi’s pupils contracted instantly.
They recognized who had come.
"It’s you! So you’re behind all this. No wonder you could escape from that Underground Palace!" Dou Yin’an growled, filled with resentment.
Li Xuanyi wore a solemn expression and discreetly retreated half a step, activating the light underfoot, attempting to break through the space and escape this world.
But Xue An’s voice reached him, "Don’t waste your efforts. Once you’re inside this armory, unless I allow it, you can’t leave!"
Indeed.
Li Xuanyi found helplessly that all his attempts were like stones sinking into the sea, receiving no response whatsoever.
His face changed, and then he said coldly, "Red Lotus Immortal Venerable, are you so arrogant as to go against my Emperor’s Palace to the end?"
"Arrogant?" Xue An was dumbfounded and then said playfully, "Didn’t you think before speaking?"
"From start to finish, it was your super sects provoking me, and I’m only rightfully retaliating. Yet you call that arrogance?"
"So, by your logic, should I just surrender to satisfy you?"
Xue An spoke calmly, seeming quite relaxed.
But the more he spoke this way, the uglier Dou Yin’an and Li Xuanyi’s expressions became.
Because it only proved one thing.
That Xue An was fully confident, or he wouldn’t be so talkative.
"Xue, you first disguised as Mu Hongxi and deliberately entered the Underground Palace to seal the breaches there, right?" Dou Yin’an said through gritted teeth.
Xue An nodded, "You guessed right!"
"Heh." Dou Yin’an suddenly let out a cold laugh, "Xue, I know what you’re thinking. You want to seal all the breaches and save The Multiverse from disaster?"
Xue An tilted his head, smiling, "So what if I do?"
Dou Yin’an sneered and spoke in an icy tone, "A noble Red Lotus Immortal Venerable with the Multiverse at heart. But do you think you can really turn the tide alone?"
"Let me tell you the truth, the entities outside have gathered their army and will soon attack The Multiverse. Anyone who dares to block their path will be crushed to powder. Don’t think you will be an exception, for those entities are beyond your imagination. Eventually, you too will die!"
Dou Yin’an’s words were filled with madness and resentment.
But Xue An merely chuckled, "Sounds impressive, but I have a flaw. The more impossible something seems, the more I want to try. After all... how can you know if something will succeed without trying?"
"Kill him!" Dou Yin’an suddenly shouted, and then he and Li Xuanyi rushed at Xue An, forming a pincer attack.
Dou Yin’an’s speech had a purpose: to buy time to allow the heavily injured Li Xuanyi to recover, joining forces to attack Xue An.
This plan was half successful, as Dou Yin’an hoped when they charged at Xue An, punches ready to strike.
But in the next moment, all plans fell apart.
For at that instant, Xue An softly said, "Suppress!"
The word shook the entire armory.
Then, a tremendous force descended upon Dou Yin’an and Li Xuanyi.
They were immediately rendered immobile by the overwhelming power.
Meanwhile, Xue An softly snapped his fingers.
"Seal!"
Chains appeared from nowhere, binding Dou Yin’an and Li Xuanyi tightly.
In a blink, they became prisoners in Xue An’s hand, unable to resist or fight back.
Curiously, Xue An didn’t rush to kill them but leisurely walked up to the two.
At that moment, Dou Yin’an and Li Xuanyi’s eyes were full of anger.
Especially Dou Yin’an, who, seemingly fearless, stared coldly at Xue An.
Xue An smiled faintly and then spoke softly, "I already knew."
"Knew what?" Dou Yin’an sneered.
"I knew the ones before me, you and him, are just avatars, right?"
