Elias finished his training, and the rest of the day passed without anything particularly unusual happening.

He ate his meals, checked on his wives, and spent some time considering the preparations they would need before leaving Kilmir, but by the time night arrived, he had expected the day to end quietly.

However, the night was far from usual.

Elias stood at the doorway of his room with a confused expression as he stared at the two figures sitting on the larger bed.

The two figures were his wives, Natasha and Stella, and they seemed to be conversing through Natasha’s notebook while wearing their nightgowns. Natasha was dressed in her usual white nightgown, while Stella wore a black one, and the smiles on their faces made the scene look peaceful.

Elias, however, had not been notified about this change.

He had been completely unaware that Stella intended to sleep in his room.

That should not have mattered much considering that they were married, but Elias couldn’t help feeling that the current Stella was far from the person he was married to.

The annihilation of her clan had broken her mind and left her with two distinct personalities.

The first was the childlike Stella who knew nothing about the sword or the annihilation of her clan, while the second was the Killer Flower, a mad woman who would kill anything that crossed her path.

There was also a third personality, although that one had appeared after Elias fed her an Extraordinary Sugar Fruit, and from everything he had seen so far, that personality seemed to be the closest representation of who Stella should have been.

Elias remained at the doorway for a few moments as he thought about the complicated situation, but Stella eventually noticed him and turned toward him with a bright smile.

"Husband!" she called happily.

Following Stella’s gaze, Natasha also noticed Elias, and her golden eyes settled upon him.

Elias smiled faintly at both of them before stepping inside and closing the door behind him.

Stella immediately patted the bed beside her and announced proudly, "Stella is going to sleep with big sister Natasha."

Elias raised an eyebrow as he looked at her.

"Big sister?"

Stella nodded enthusiastically before looking toward Natasha and explaining, "She knows way more than I do! So she is the big sister."

Elias couldn’t help but chuckle at her reasoning because it was quite funny, considering that Stella was actually the oldest of his three wives while simultaneously being the youngest in terms of her current mental state. It was a difficult situation to make sense of.

"Do not keep her awake for too long," he said as he walked toward the smaller bed placed in the corner of the room.

Stella’s smile disappeared almost immediately, and she sat upright while staring at him.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

Elias turned his head toward her and furrowed his brows slightly.

"Sleeping?"

Stella’s expression became dumbfounded, and after staring at him for a moment, she comically raised her nose and pushed her lips into a pout.

"Sleep with us!" she demanded.

Elias frowned as he looked between the larger bed and the smaller one.

"It would be uncomfortable for all of us," he muttered, and then he added, "Also, did you even ask your big sist—"

"She told me to sleep here," Stella interjected immediately.

"What?"

Elias stopped and slowly turned his gaze toward Natasha.

She was looking at them with her usual impassive expression, her golden eyes revealing almost nothing as though she had absolutely nothing to do with the situation unfolding before her.

However, that act couldn’t fool him.

Elias narrowed his eyes slightly before sending her a Mental Whisper.

[Did you tell Stella to sleep here?]

Natasha remained silent for a moment.

Then her body trembled once, almost like a person who had been caught red-handed while committing a crime.

Elias stared at her in disbelief.

Natasha lowered her eyes before giving him a small nod, seemingly accepting responsibility for what she had done.

Stella, meanwhile, looked completely pleased with the outcome.

Natasha then moved toward the right side of the bed before lying down. She placed her notebook and quill carefully on her abdomen and looked toward Elias.

Elias sighed softly.

"You should have told me at least..."

"You would not have allowed me to sleep here then," Stella said with her arms crossed at her chest.

Elias shook his head, although the faint smile on his lips betrayed the fact that he wasn’t actually annoyed.

Stella and Elias both stared at Natasha, and Stella seemed to understand Natasha’s intentions far better than he did.

She quickly moved toward the left edge of the bed and left the center completely open.

She then looked toward him and patted the space between herself and Natasha.

"Come!" she said brightly.

Elias stared at the spot for several seconds, his expression becoming increasingly amused.

A chuckle escaped him as he finally gave in.

"Alright," he said.

Stella’s expression brightened, and she clenched her fists in victory. "Yes!"

He shook his head as he walked to the wardrobe beside the smaller bed and took out a pair of gray tunic and pants for the night.

A few moments later, he climbed onto the bed while wearing them.

"Hehe," Stella giggled childishly.

Natasha also smiled very faintly at him.

A moment later, he lay in between the two of them with Stella grinning ear to ear on his right and Natasha impassively staring at him from his left.

When Elias had heard that many lords had multiple wives in their harem, this wasn’t how he had pictured their nights to be.

To be honest, it felt rather uncomfortable getting stared at from both sides, but it wasn’t too big of a deal to him.

At least he finally had people who were willing to look at him with anything that wasn’t hate, disapproval, disparagement, and distrust.

A few seconds passed in silence, and then Stella hugged his arm and demanded, bringing her face so close to his that her nose was touching his cheek.

"Tell me a story."
