"Did she wait for me last night...?" Elias mumbled, stunned.

He slowly walked toward the larger bed and carefully sat down beside Natasha, watching her peaceful sleeping face while the realization continued to settle in his mind.

He had already thought it several times since marrying her, but looking at her like this only reinforced the same conclusion: Natasha was truly beautiful in both saintly and unsaintly ways.

Her skin was like chocolate, her face possessed an almost unnatural balance, with a sharp jaw softened by delicate cheeks, small lips and nose, thin and refined eyebrows, and a forehead that was neither too large nor too small.

Everything about her seemed perfectly proportioned, as though someone had painstakingly designed every feature.

Her figure was no less breathtaking, with a generous chest, a slender waist, rounded hips, and thick, graceful thighs that gave her an elegant yet curvaceous appearance.

Even her feet were beautiful, and the burn marks left behind by the failed ritual somehow failed to diminish her appearance. If anything, Elias felt those scars gave her a unique beauty that made her more memorable rather than less.

As usual, she wore a silky white nightgown with lace at the edges; it ended a few inches above her knees, although the fabric had risen slightly higher during her sleep.

Elias quickly looked away from where it had shifted before his thoughts wandered somewhere difficult to return from, though his mind seemed to tell him that a peek was nothing too much, but his will was unbreakable.

To him, Natasha resembled a perfect painting that somehow became even more beautiful whenever something was added to it. However, what could be better than perfection?

He did not know.

Her beauty seemed illogical, almost paradoxical, and genuinely mind-melting.

As he continued watching her breathe rhythmically, his own heartbeat gradually became louder inside his chest, and before he realized what he was doing, his left hand had moved toward her head.

"So cute..."

His fingers gently brushed through her long black hair while a lovestruck smile unconsciously appeared on his face.

"People like to say that marrying you three is pretty much a death sentence, but the way I look at it... it is no different than a blessing..."

He remained like that for several moments, simply enjoying the quiet morning and the warmth of having someone he cared about beside him, until Natasha eventually stirred from her sleep.

’Did she wake up?’

Her head slowly turned toward the person gently patting her hair, and when her golden eyes finally opened, she found Elias sitting beside her.

Their eyes met.

Elias’s hand halted for a moment because Natasha’s sleepy, slightly unfocused golden eyes were hypnotizing, and seeing her like that made his heart beat even faster.

Natasha furrowed her brows slightly as she slowly sat up with her legs folded beneath her, and in the process, the left strap of her nightgown slipped from her shoulder.

Elias stared at her for a moment before mentally cursing himself.

’Fucking hell...’

He swallowed and then mumbled with an awkward smile, "A saintess who makes others have unsaintly thoughts... haha."

Natasha blinked at him, seemingly still trying to wake herself up properly.

[Good morning.]

The words entered her mind through Mental Whisper.

She rubbed her eyes before looking around the room, apparently searching for something. Elias followed her gaze and noticed the notebook and quill resting near the drawer beside the bed.

He leaned over, picked them up, and handed them to her.

Natasha accepted them, placed the notebook against her lap, and quickly wrote something before turning it toward him.

When did you return from the rift?

[Last night.]

The moment Natasha heard his response, her lips dropped into a small frown.

She immediately wrote another question.

Why did you not come here then?

Seeing the small frown forming on her face, Elias felt a strange sense of guilt. He had spent the entire night dealing with Trons and Part, and afterward he had gone to the Sun Church to speak with Mekah, leaving Natasha waiting without knowing when he would return.

[I got busy with something...]

Natasha’s expression changed almost immediately.

Although Elias’s answer was short, she caught the faint fatigue hidden behind his words, and her golden eyes became more attentive as she studied him.

She lowered her gaze and wrote again.

Do you want to tell me what happened? You do not really have to if you do not feel like it.

Elias read the sentence carefully, and for a moment, he remained silent.

He could tell that Natasha was not demanding an explanation. She was simply offering him a chance to speak, and there was something strangely comforting about knowing that she was willing to listen without forcing him to reveal anything.

A small smile eventually appeared on his face.

[Sure. Let’s do that, but before that, you should freshen up and get ready for the day.]

Natasha blinked at his response before looking at him for another moment. Then she nodded and began writing again.

You should as well.

Elias looked down at himself.

He had taken off his armor after returning to the manor, and there was little about his current appearance that differed from how he usually looked.

He glanced at Natasha before sniffing his own clothes.

"Do I smell or something?" he mumbled.

Natasha watched him for a few moments, her expression remaining completely neutral, although Elias thought he could detect the faintest hint of amusement in her eyes.

She then stepped down from the bed and followed his suggestion, leaving Elias sitting there for another moment as he stared after her.

Only after she had moved toward the washroom did he finally exhale and shake his head.

"I would lose my mind one day," he muttered to himself as he watched her leave.

Eventually, he also stood up and left to do the same.

’Even though I am not looking bad at all, I will do it just for her.’
