BAM!!!!

?The Bear’s massive arm smashed right into an ice barrier, which completely held it back, absorbing the catastrophic force in a spiderweb of freezing crystal.

?"....?!"

?Everyone turned their heads to Katherine, stunned by the sheer potency of her barrier.

?"Stop looking around and fight!" Marianne snapped at them, breaking the spell of awe.

?"Yes, General!!"

?The knights yelled in unison, drawing their swords and stepping up their defensive posture.

?"Vine entanglement!!"

?"Lightning bolts!!"

?"Blood daggers strike!!"

?"Fireball descend!!"

?Countless skills instantly flew out from the soldiers, as they all accurately smashed into the huge Bear, forcing it some meters backward, its heavy paws churning and destroying the ice on the ground.

?"You actually dared to divert your focus to defend those pathetic humans while engaged in combat against me? Aren’t you being far too arrogant?" The small monkey asked, crossing its arms over its chest while floating in the air.

?"Sorry for that, but I can’t just stand by and watch them all die," Katherine said with a small, confident smile as an intricate ice sword formed in her outstretched hand.

?The Monkey nodded its head in slow approval: "Very well. Give me a good show."

?BOOOM!!

?The two shot forward, smashing into each other in the sky above the battlefield, sending shockwaves rippling through the air as they engaged in countless high-speed rounds of combat.

?’These humans aren’t an existential threat on their own, but they possess a handful of disguised SSS-Rank fighters within their ranks... These individuals cleverly concealed themselves among the regular troops and suppressed their auras... Because of that, we can’t easily pinpoint and eliminate them.’ The black-skinned humanoid woman thought, narrowing her eyes as she swept her gaze across the chaotic battlefield below.

?The cannons and mages stationed atop the wall were successfully keeping the remaining monster tide in check, while the awakened forces had cleanly divided into three distinct groups: the first group teamed up with Marianne to secure the line against the Cobra, the second aggressively assaulted the giant bear, and the final group held the core defense perimeter.

’These humans maintain remarkably disciplined battle formations, yet I still see no one worthy of forcing me to personally intervene. This purple-haired human calling herself Katherine possesses notable strength, but she isn’t a true match... How dreadfully boring. I genuinely wonder why that Lord commanded me to lead such a weak, pathetic army.’ She thought, turning her head curiously toward the direction of the distant city gates:

’I am stronger than the commanders leading all the other raids; if the defenses at the other gates are anywhere near as robust as this one, those teams should have already been wiped out.’

?Unbeknownst to her overconfident calculations, the exact gate she was currently assaulting happened to be the weakest out of all four fortification points encircling Silverspire.

?[East Gate — One Hour Later.]

?"Are these truly the only monsters to fight? Aren’t your forces far too weak?" Margaret asked, staring coldly at the large werewolf hovering helplessly in the air before her, tightly bound and suspended by her space manipulation ability.

?"Hehehe... I genuinely didn’t anticipate encountering a human wielding the space element out here in the frontier... You must undoubtedly stand as the strongest in this wretched city." The werewolf wheezed, a bloody grin plastered across its snout even as the invisible pressure of space actively crushed its bones.

?"If this feeble resistance represents the absolute limit of your defensive power, this city is going to fall before noon." It added defiantly.

?"What do you mean by that statement?" Eren demanded, tossing the severed head of a lesser werewolf aside into the mud.

?"Fools... Do you honestly believe that halting this preliminary monster wave means you’ve secured victory?! Hehehe, human ignorance is truly a blessed affliction." The creature laughed bitterly.

?"Speak! What are your masters actually planning?" Gavin demanded, pointing the tip of his staff threateningly at the wolf’s throat:

?"All the other regional generals are already dead—it barely took us an hour to completely dispose of them! Talk right now, and we might grant you a quick, painless death!!" He added, his patience wearing thin.

?"Utterly useless... No matter what words you use or what clever traps you set, today, this entire city is turning to ash." The werewolf yelled back defiantly:

?"Hehehehehe!! My assignment is fully completed! Go ahead and butcher me all you like!!" It cackled.

?Margaret narrowed her piercing eyes. Her intuition told her the werewolf wasn’t bluffing, but what mysterious factor gave it such unshakable confidence?

?She swept her gaze across the secure perimeter of the East Gate; the entire initial monster tide had been swiftly dismantled in under an hour, and the assigned monster generals had been liquidated with minimal friction—so where did the threat lie?

?"It appears we have a much larger conflict looming on the horizon... Recall all combat squads immediately; instruct them to establish a final defensive line directly in front of the gate. What is the current status of our wounded?"

?"They’ve already used the emergency teleportation scrolls to evacuate back to the emergency camp inside the city." A soldier quickly reported.

?"Very well." Margaret nodded grimly, turning her attention back to the bound werewolf:

?"I don’t precisely know what horrors are heading our way, but standing shoulder-to-shoulder, I believe we possess the strength to defend this city." She added resolutely.

?"Shoulder-to-shoulder?!! Hehehehe, you arrogant mortals will all die togeth..."

?BOOOOM!

?The spatial field instantly collapsed inward with lethal velocity, crushing the special boss-class werewolf into a pulp and ending its life in a fraction of a second.

?"Send word to Tyson—"

?BOOOOM!!

?Everyone snapped their heads toward the western side of the city, watching in alarm as a colossal, roaring tornado composed of pure, unadulterated magical flames towered into the clouds.

?"It seems he is wrapping up his side as well. Dispatch a runner to inform him that something massive is—"

?"--You don’t need to trouble yourselves with runners, we have already arrived."

?".....?!"

?Margaret snapped her head over her shoulder, her breath catching in her throat as she saw fifty massive, emerald-scaled humanoid Lizards marching steadily toward them. The oppressive aura of genuine SSS-Rank fighters rolled off every single one of them in waves. Encased from head to toe in heavy Heaven-Tier armor and brandishing glowing broadswords, their disciplined advance radiated absolute death.

?".....?!!"

?Margaret’s eyes went wide with sheer, unadulterated disbelief and paralyzing shock.
