Investing in My Wife: But She's Already the Strongest!
Chapter 5: Villa
After the people from the company left, Enzo carried his bags downstairs.
His parents and Evan were still on the porch, busy examining the car.
They were surprised to see Enzo coming down with his luggage.
"Enzo, where are you going?" Lisa asked.
"Mom, we should move."
"Move?"
Everyone was stunned.
Even though they knew they had also received a villa, none of them had thought about moving yet.
"That’s Lady Stanley’s suggestion. She said it’s not safe here," Enzo explained.
Hearing that, Evan immediately nodded.
"That’s right. Maybe it really isn’t safe here. Dad, Mom, we should move to that villa."
He was extremely excited about moving. He had always dreamed of living in a luxurious home.
"Evan, hurry up and pack your clothes."
Enzo spoke while their parents were still standing there in silence.
"Yeah..."
Evan immediately sprang into action, filled with enthusiasm.
"Mom, we really need to do this..."
Enzo reminded his mother again.
Lisa could only look toward Paul.
The middle-aged man furrowed his brows, his expression contemplative.
"All right..."
He finally agreed.
There was clearly a sense of reluctance in his heart.
This house was where he and Lisa had spent their youth and built their lives together. It was where they had raised their two sons, who were now both grown.
"Then I’ll pack our clothes. Do we need to bring anything else?"
"No. There’s no need. Just bring the clothes," Enzo replied.
A villa in a luxury residential complex should already have every facility they needed.
Although it was probably too early to think about any danger, Enzo couldn’t shake the feeling of unease.
He really wanted to move as soon as possible.
’Maybe I’m just being paranoid... or perhaps some danger really is coming.’
Either way, if they didn’t move, he knew he would remain anxious.
While everyone was busy packing their clothes, Enzo walked over to the car.
The remote had simply been left on the porch table.
With the press of a button, the driver’s door unlocked.
The engine could even be started remotely.
Enzo naturally knew how to drive, unlike his father, who still couldn’t drive to this day.
Vroom!
The engine roared loudly for a moment before settling into an incredibly smooth hum.
’To the rich, a car like this is probably nothing more than a toy. And compared to Miya, it’s probably even less significant.’
This made it even harder for Enzo to figure out what he could give her after the wedding ring.
"Enzo, we’re ready..."
His mother came out shortly afterward.
"Come on, get in."
Enzo opened all the doors himself.
"Evan, you sit in the front."
"Yeah..."
The young man nodded. He had been hoping to sit in the front anyway.
Everyone was immediately stunned by the luxurious interior and the sensation of sitting inside such an expensive vehicle.
The cool, refreshing air-conditioning even made the exhausted Paul feel energized.
"A car like this must cost hundreds of thousands of dollars," Paul said.
"Even more than that," Evan replied.
"Really?" Lisa asked.
"Yeah. This one costs 1.5 million dollars."
"What? How could it possibly be that expensive? That’s five times the value of our house."
"..."
Enzo, who had already started driving, smiled awkwardly and scratched his head.
Some of their neighbors naturally noticed the commotion.
But this was a city.
Poor people were generally less familiar with their neighbors than wealthy people, simply because everyone was too busy with their own lives.
For people like them, friends were usually found at school or university.
Soon, the car reached the busy main road, and Enzo felt increasingly comfortable behind the wheel.
He knew where the Horizon Complex was, as it was actually located fairly close to his university.
He was quite familiar with the area.
Of course, getting there from his home still took quite a while.
The journey was considerably slower than taking the high-speed subway.
City Z’s roads were frequently congested because of the city’s enormous population.
There were also plenty of traffic lights along the way.
Still, everyone enjoyed the comfort of the car.
More than an hour later, they finally arrived at the entrance to the complex.
A barrier gate stood at the entrance.
Apparently, their car had already been registered because the barrier immediately lifted when they approached.
Enzo drove straight inside.
From the outside, the complex wasn’t particularly impressive.
Several sections were hidden behind walls or tall trees.
Only after entering did its true appearance become apparent.
Its luxury exceeded even Enzo’s expectations.
The villas were enormous, standing three or four stories tall and combining classical architecture with futuristic designs.
"Evan, where is it?" Enzo asked.
Evan was holding the address of their villa.
Every villa had its own number, but there were so many roads that it wasn’t immediately obvious which one they needed.
No. 029.
He had no idea which road it was on.
"It should be to the right," Evan said.
Enzo turned right.
He didn’t need any further directions because he immediately spotted No. 029 at the end of the road.
The back of the villa should overlook the Z City River, a massive river that served as a major route for large ships.
Compared to the surrounding villas, this one stood out considerably.
It actually had five floors and was surrounded by high walls.
The gate also opened automatically as soon as the car approached.
Everything seemed to be equipped with an automated system.
Of course, there was also a separate remote control for the villa.
"Are we really going to live here?"
Lisa gasped.
Enzo couldn’t answer.
He was just as stunned.
The villa’s courtyard alone was enormous.
There were about thirty meters between the gate and the front porch.
Enzo drove all the way to the front of the villa, where the porch was already surrounded by large flowerpots filled with roses in various colors.
Some of the roses were nearly as large as a person’s head, and Enzo had no idea where they had come from.
"We’re here."
He looked at everyone.
"I don’t think I’ll ever be able to inspect every corner of this house."
Paul sighed.
"Let’s take a look..."
Enzo was the first to get out.
He had to take the lead somehow.
After all, he was the one who had caused all these changes, even though he was still struggling to process everything himself.
