Investing In My Three Crippled Wives Get 10,000x Times Return
Chapter 213 | Matter Of Time
Chapter 213: 213 | Matter Of Time
Dexter’s hands resumed their motion as he continued the massage, working around the marks carefully to avoid direct contact with the sensitive areas while still channeling mana into the surrounding tissue.
"Nothing is impossible," he said in a casual tone. "What would happen if I actually managed to awaken a bloodline?" He asked.
Mira was silent for a while, then she shook her head.
"There is no need Imagining the impossible. Sticking to reality is better."
She paused.
"I am already happy by the fact that I can finally move my right hand. And I am healing. Every day, I feel a little stronger and that is enough."
"Asking for a bloodline would be asking for too much."
Dexter smiled knowingly.
He knew because he had given them the bloodline. The Bloodline Evolution food, quietly integrated into their bodies weeks ago. It was only a matter of time.
He was looking forward to it, looking forward to the moment when all three women discovered their talent.
The looks on their faces would be worth it.
He massaged Mira every day and saw her skin. He could detect the subtle changes in her body that signaled the bloodline’s emergence.
He didn’t massage Lyra or Selene.
He had no way of knowing what was happening beneath their skin and no way of monitoring the progress of a transformation that might already be underway without their knowledge.
This thought led to another thought.
The body massage Sutra wasn’t just a relaxation technique. It stimulated meridian function and accelerated the body’s natural healing processes.
If he applied the same technique to Selene and Lyra, their healing rates would increase dramatically.
But how could he tell two women, one of whom was blind and the other deaf and mute, that he wanted to rub oil on their bodies and press vibrating gloves against their skin?
How could he frame it in a way that didn’t make him sound like a pervert who just wanted to touch them and want satisfied with just touching one of them.
’I want to rub oil on your body and press vibrating gloves against your skin. Strictly for medical purposes, I promise.’
No version of that sentence existed that didn’t make him sound like a pervert.
He glanced at Mira, then an idea formed.
He could tell Mira and then if she agreed, she could communicate the proposal to Selene and Lyra.
Dexter turned to Mira.
"How would you feel if I started giving Selene and Lyra massages?"
The question landed in the quiet bedroom like a stone in still water.
Mira’s eyes opened.
"The massage technique I use on you," Dexter continued, "It stimulates healing at a cellular level, accelerates the body’s natural recovery process."
He paused.
"If I apply the same technique to Selene and Lyra, their healing rates would increase significantly."
He looked at Mira.
"In a month or two, Selene might show improvement in her vision, Lyra might show improvement in her hearing and by the end of the year, both of them could be significantly further along in their recovery than they would be without the massages."
The room suddenly went silent and in that instant, the temperature in the room increased drastically
Dexter’s eyes widened as he looked at her. Her eyes were closed and her expression was normal but Dexter could feel waves of incredible heat radiating off of her like a lava.
But in that split second, the rising temperature returned to normal as though it had been an illusion.
Mira then shrugged.
"They are also your wives," she said in a light tone. "You can do whatever you want to them."
Dexter blinked.
The words were fine as she acknowledged what he said, but Dexter’s spine tingled.
The brief, flash-fast spike in temperature that had originated from her body and disappeared before it could be confirmed.
’She is angry.’
And it was the quiet type of anger!
She was jealous.
The jealousy of a woman who had something that was hers, a daily ritual, a private intimacy, a shared moment between husband and wife that nobody else was part of, and was now being told that this thing might be shared with others.
The massage was not just a medical procedure to Mira. It was the one part of her day that was exclusively hers. The time when Dexter’s attention was focused entirely on her.
And now he was proposing to extend that same intimacy to the other two.
Dexter understood it Immediately and sighed.
’I mess up again, didn’t I?’
Each wife had something that was uniquely theirs. A specific form of interaction that defined their relationship with him and separated it from their relationships with each other.
With Lyra, it was food. Snacks. Chips. Pastries. The small, edible gifts that made her eyes light up and her lips curve into brilliant smiles.
With Selene, it was warmth. The nightly cultivation sessions.
With Mira, it was the massage.
Each of these was sacred. ℯℯ𝑙.
Sharing them across all three would dilute it.
The massage might increase the other two’s healing rates. That was true.
But logic was not the only operating principle in a household of three women and one man. Sometimes, preserving the emotional ecosystem was more important than optimizing the physical one.
The girls already had the Grand Cosmos Scripture. They didn’t need meridians to cultivate. Their Star Nodes were absorbing mana independently. The massage’s primary function, meridian stimulation, was largely redundant for them. Its secondary function, general healing acceleration, was helpful but not critical.
The benefit was incremental. The cost was disruption and it was not worth it.
Maybe later. When things had settled. When the bloodline awakenings were further along he would try again.
But not today.
Dexter shook his head.
"Never mind," he said. "I was just thinking out loud. Forget I said anything."
Mira’s eyes remained closed. Her expression remained neutral. The temperature in the room remained normal.
But something in the quality of her silence shifted.
The rest of the massage proceeded in silence.
Mira didn’t speak a single word or a complaint. She lay on the bed and accepted the massage with the passive, closed-eyed stillness of a woman who was processing something internally and did not wish to be disturbed while doing so.
When it was done, Dexter cleaned the oil from her skin, dressed her, and placed her in her wheelchair.
"Thank you," she said without looking at him and wheeled herself out of the room.
Her Spectral Arms operated the wheels, carrying her down the hallway and into the living room without a backward glance.
Dexter stood in the bedroom doorway and watched her go.
’She’s definitely angry.’
He shook his head.
’Definitely behaving like a jealous cat.’
Dexter found this simultaneously exasperating and endearing.
Dexter shook his head again and walked to his room.
---
He cleaned up andcultivated for an hour,
After an hour, he opened his eyes and stretched. The tension from the day’s events faded and he stood up and walked to the kitchen.
It was late, nearly eight o’clock. The girls had eaten a substantial meal at five, so a heavy dinner wasn’t necessary. But they needed something before bed. A light meal that would provide sustained nourishment through the night without overwhelming their digestive systems.
He prepared a simple rice porridge. Plain. Gentle. Easy on the stomach. He added a thin slice of ginseng root for warmth and a handful of goji berries for their restorative properties. No mana infusion. No special techniques. Just good, simple food that would sit well in a body that was already processing the day’s accumulated spiritual energy.
He ladled the porridge into four bowls and called the girls.
They came.
Mira arrived first.
She ate quickly and finished before the others and then, she wheeled herself away from the table without a word and headed for the window in the living room..
Dexter watched her go.
’Yep. Still angry.’
