Cain’s eyes sharpened.

Then Serath’s knee slammed into his chest.

Cain was forced backward, but Serath followed without giving him an opportunity to recover.

His claws moved in rapid succession, forcing Cain to block one strike and twist away from another before the third finally broke through his damaged scales and tore across his chest.

Blood spilled on the ground.

Serath’s tail followed immediately.

Cain twisted his body, but the tip still slammed into his ribs.

CRACK!

Several bones fractured from the impact, sending Cain flying across the street.

Evelyne immediately raised her hand, and a dense healing force surrounded Cain before he could even stand properly.

The pain in his chest began fading as the fractured bones slowly reconnected beneath the healing energy.

Cain looked toward her.

"Thank you."

She didn’t reply as she focused on healing him with a worried expression.

Cain wiped the blood from his mouth and looked back toward Serath, who had already turned his attention toward the others.

The Youngest Prince was covered in wounds.

His shoulder was still regenerating, blood ran down his side, and numerous cracks remained across his Dragon scales, but his aura had not weakened.

If anything, the prolonged battle had made him even more dangerous.

Cain understood why.

Naturally, it was because of his Dragon King’s Wrath skill.

The longer the battle continued, the more dangerous Serath became.

Cain raised his sword again.

"Don’t fight him up close unless you have an opening."

The others immediately understood.

Rather than attempting to surround Serath directly, they increased their distance and attacked from different positions, forcing him to divide his attention.

Mo Xuanye repeatedly used his palm and finger attacks to pressure Serath with concentrated Heavenly Demon Qi, aiming for already damaged areas instead of wasting attacks against his strongest defenses.

Ron waited for opportunities while conserving what remained of his Mana, and Elara did the same.

Aurelia continued sending Radiant Swords despite her rapidly decreasing Mana, carefully choosing her attacks and directing them toward the cracks already forming across Serath’s scales.

Nathan stood farther away with his bow drawn.

An arrow flew through the battlefield, aimed directly at Serath’s head.

Serath casually turned his head.

The arrow struck his forehead.

CLANG!

The shaft shattered against his scales.

Serath glanced toward Nathan and clicked his tongue.

"Tch."

Nathan immediately drew another arrow.

"Annoying bastard."

He released it.

Serath blocked that one as well.

Nathan continued firing.

None of the attacks could seriously injure Serath, but every arrow forced the Youngest Prince to acknowledge another threat, preventing him from focusing entirely on Cain or the other close-range attacks.

That was more than enough.

Cain used every opening those distractions created.

His sword repeatedly clashed against Serath’s claws while Purgatory Solar Lances continued bombarding him from above.

The lances were becoming increasingly effective as Cain concentrated them against the damaged areas, but Serath’s defensive body still prevented them from becoming decisive on their own.

Behind Cain, the Primordial Chaos Dragon projection remained throughout the battle, its crimson eyes fixed on Serath as the pressure radiating from its presence continued suppressing his Dragon Bloodline.

Yet even with all of this, Cain remained at a disadvantage in close combat.

Every direct exchange cost him.

His scales were damaged, his ribs had been broken, and his left shoulder had suffered a deep wound.

Evelyne continuously healed him whenever he managed to create enough distance.

Cain knew they could not continue indefinitely.

Neither could Serath.

The difference was that Serath had one more thing they needed to force out.

His annoying resurrection skill.

Cain’s eyes became colder and waited for a moment.

The opportunity finally came.

Mo Xuanye attacked first.

A gigantic palm descended toward Serath, forcing him to raise his arms and block the attack.

At the same time, a concentrated Heavenly Demon Finger pierced toward his chest, forcing Serath to shift his body to avoid it.

That movement exposed his side.

Aurelia’s strongest Radiant Sword struck.

The condensed weapon drove into the already damaged scales along Serath’s ribs.

For several moments, the sword struggled against his defense before the concentrated Light Mana finally broke through the weakened section and penetrated into his side.

Serath’s body staggered.

Cain appeared immediately.

His sword flashed toward Serath, forcing the Youngest Prince to raise his claws and block the strike.

Ron then moved.

Lightning exploded from his body as he accelerated toward Serath, while Elara followed from the opposite direction with Ice Mana gathering around her sword.

Both had been waiting for exactly this kind of opening.

Ron drank his Mana potion, and the depleted energy within his body surged back as the potion replenished his Mana.

Elara did the same, causing their auras to rise once again as they prepared to unleash their strongest attacks.

Ron charged first.

Elara moved from the opposite direction, cutting off another path of escape.

Serath’s eyes narrowed.

Ron thrust his spear and the Thunder Dragon erupted again.

This time, the attack struck Serath directly in the abdomen.

BOOOOOOM!

The Lightning Dragon slammed into the already damaged scales, and the concentrated force finally broke through them.

Lightning tore into Serath’s body, blasting through his abdomen as blood exploded from his back.

His scales shattered across the impact point.

Before he could recover, Elara’s sword descended.

Her Frozen World Severance skill struck the same damaged part.

Ice spread through the wound, slowing Serath’s regeneration as the flesh around the damaged area froze before it could reconnect.

Cain’s eyes flashed.

Now.

He poured every remaining bit of True Ruin he could safely release into his sword.

Behind him, the Primordial Chaos Dragon projection lowered its head as the crimson cracks across its black scales brightened.

Cain then swung his sword.

A massive crescent of True Ruin tore across Serath’s body, entering through the heavily damaged part created by Ron and Elara.

The attack ripped through the weakened scales and carved deeply into Serath’s body.

Serath staggered, yet he still remained standing.

His Dragon King’s Wrath erupted.

Black Sun Dragon Flame surged outward with tremendous force, forcing everyone nearby backward.

Cain gritted his teeth as the heat scorched his Dragon scales, but even through the flames, he could see Serath’s body beginning to recover again.

The accumulated damage had finally reached the point where even his regeneration could no longer repair everything immediately.

His Mana was dropping rapidly, his Blood Essence had already been heavily consumed, and Dragon Blood Ignition continued burning through his Bloodline Origin.

Still, he refused to fall.

Serath looked toward Cain, his crimson eyes remaining terrifyingly clear despite the condition of his body.

Blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.

Cain tightened his grip around his sword when he saw that Serath suddenly disappeared.

Cain’s pupils contracted as the Youngest Prince appeared directly in front of him, a claw piercing through his abdomen.

The attack finally caught Cain without enough distance to evade.

The force drove him backward, causing blood to spill from his mouth as Serath pulled his arm free.

Cain staggered.

Evelyne immediately reacted, but before she could provide another healing wave, Serath’s tail struck toward Cain.

Cain raised his arm.

BOOM!

The armored tail slammed into him and sent his body crashing into the ground.

The street beneath him collapsed from the impact, burying him beneath broken concrete and rubble.

For several seconds, he did not move.

Then Cain pushed himself upward.

His breathing had become heavier, and blood covered his chest as Evelyne’s healing force surrounded him once again.
