Investing in My Harem in the Apocalypse Makes Me Stronger
Chapter 205: The Battle Begins
He had never tried controlling this many simultaneously before.
Attempting to guide every single one with perfect precision would have been impossible.
Fortunately, he did not need perfect precision.
He only needed to divide them into separate groups and force several targets away from Serath.
The prince looked upward, his expression remained calm.
Then he rolled one shoulder and chuckled.
"I suppose it’s time to knock some sense into you first."
Black energy gradually appeared around his fingers.
"You need to understand just how large the difference between us actually is."
Cain smiled faintly.
"Go!"
The order exploded across the avenue.
Everyone moved.
"Aurelia!"
Cain turned his head slightly.
"Elara!"
Both women were already prepared.
"Your teams are with me."
Cain’s gaze locked onto several figures standing behind Serath.
"Take care of the rest according to the plan."
The sixty lances shifted.
Instead of flying toward Serath, they separated into dense groups.
Cain thrust his hand forward.
The sky above the street lit up as twenty lances tore toward one of Serath’s subordinates.
Another wave attacked a different target farther to the right.
The remaining projectiles curved toward a third 3rd Echelon.
Serath’s eyes narrowed slightly as he had expected Cain to target him.
The three 3rd Echelons reacted instantly.
One disappeared from his original position as the first barrage smashed into the street.
BOOOOM!
Stone erupted upward.
The second target moved in the opposite direction, forcing the lances pursuing him to curve away from Serath.
The last raised his weapon and struck the first incoming lance directly.
BANG!
Solar energy exploded across the avenue.
Several more followed.
The 3rd Echelon was pushed away by the repeated impacts even though none of them caused anything serious.
Before Serath could shift his attention back toward him, tremendous pressure erupted from another direction.
Mo Xuanye had already moved.
He crossed the distance with black Heavenly Demon Qi surging throughout his body.
The energy gathered around his palm.
Then Mo Xuanye struck forward, a gigantic black palm manifested in the air.
The attack covered a large section of the street as it descended toward Serath.
"Your enemy is right here." Mo Xuanye chuckled.
Serath turned toward him and smiled.
"So impatient."
Dark Nether energy gathered around his right hand.
Death energy joined it.
The two forces condensed together as Serath casually pushed his palm forward.
Another enormous palm appeared.
Black collided with black.
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
The shockwave tore through the avenue.
Windows shattered across nearby buildings.
The street between them collapsed as cracks spread beneath the enormous collision.
Heavenly Demon Qi and Nether energy devoured each other violently.
For the first time, Serath’s white clothes moved noticeably beneath the pressure.
Then a bluish-white flash appeared behind him.
Ron’s speed had become even more terrifying after advancing to the 3rd Echelon.
Lightning erupted from his body as he appeared behind Serath with his spear already moving toward the prince’s back.
Serath did not turn around as the Nether energy covered his left hand.
The dense energy compressed so heavily that it resembled dark armor around his fingers and palm.
His hand moved backward.
CLANG!
Ron felt his eyes widen when the spearhead struck Serath’s open palm.
It stopped against a hand covered in condensed energy.
Lightning exploded around the point of contact, but Serath’s arm barely moved.
Ron immediately understood how absurd this bastard’s strength was.
Well, it wasn’t like he was going all out too.
Before he could change direction, another presence reached Serath from the front as Viktor had passed through the aftermath of the two enormous palms.
Broken stone struck his body and shattered against him.
His large fist pulled backward.
Then he punched.
Serath finally moved his other hand.
His palm met Viktor’s fist.
BANG!
The stone beneath Serath’s feet fractured.
Viktor’s eyes sharpened when he saw that Serath remained standing.
One hand stopped Ron’s spear behind him.
The other held back Viktor’s punch from the front.
The prince slowly turned his head toward Ron, his crimson eyes contained amusement.
"You’re quite fast."
Then he looked toward Viktor.
"Your strength is not bad as well."
Viktor pushed harder, his muscles bulged beneath his clothes.
Serath’s arm moved backward by a few centimeters.
That tiny movement caused Viktor’s expression to become even more serious rather than satisfied.
Serath was holding both of them simultaneously.
And he still had not become serious yet.
Mo Xuanye emerged from the fading energy ahead.
The smile on his face widened as this was exactly the kind of opponent he had wanted.
Serath looked toward him.
For the first time since their arrival, the Youngest Prince’s expression carried genuine anticipation.
The next moment, Heavenly Demon Qi erupted again.
On the other side of the avenue, the battle had already split apart.
The three 3rd Echelons targeted by Cain escaped the worst of the initial barrage.
One landed on the roof of a nearby structure before immediately jumping back down as several remaining lances followed.
Another swept his weapon outward and destroyed the incoming projectiles one after another.
The final target simply forced his way through the weakened edge of the attack before retreating toward an open section of the city.
None of them had suffered a meaningful wound.
Cain had expected that, since the lances were never meant to kill them.
Aurelia understood the plan.
Golden Light erupted around her body as she rushed toward the closest target with her sword drawn.
"He’s mine."
Cain looked toward the remaining two.
Elara arrived beside him, Cold Mana spread around her as frost covered the broken street beneath her boots.
Behind them, the people assigned to their groups were already moving into position.
Cain raised his sword, his golden eyes shifted between the separated 3rd Echelons.
One of them would become his Advancement Mission target.
The other battles would determine who else gained the opportunity to reach the next Echelon.
Farther behind, another violent explosion shook the Central Base as Mo Xuanye attacked Serath again.
Cain did not look back as everyone had their role.
Now they only needed to survive long enough to complete it.
"Let’s go."
True Ruin Energy spread along Cain’s blade.
Then he rushed toward the nearest 3rd Echelon.
