—> [Nether Emperor Regeneration]

[Converts Mana, Nether energy, Death energy, and Blood Essence into regenerative force that rapidly restores the user’s damaged body.]

[Deep wounds close, shattered bones reconnect, damaged muscles and organs recover, while severe blood loss is rapidly stabilized.]

[Regeneration continues automatically as long as sufficient energy remains.]

[The greater the severity of the injury, the greater the energy consumption.]

[Completely destroyed vital organs and severed limbs require enormous amounts of energy and significantly longer recovery time.]

Cain’s expression darkened as he thought that this bastard had incredible regeneration as well.

Serath was already absurdly durable because of his body and Bloodline.

His scales could adapt to repeated damage.

Injuring him activated Dragon King’s Wrath.

And even when they successfully damaged him, he could regenerate by consuming energy.

Cain began understanding why the System had never asked him to kill Serath for his Advancement Mission.

It would have been too ridiculous that he was sure he would’ve been unable to complete the Advancement Mission.

His gaze then shifted farther downward.

—> [Nether Emperor’s Domain]

[Releases highly concentrated Nether energy throughout the surrounding battlefield, transforming the affected area into a region saturated with Death and Nether energy.]

[Within the Domain, the user’s Nether and Death-attributed abilities are greatly strengthened while Mana recovery and Nether Emperor Regeneration are accelerated.]

[Living enemies continuously experience pressure from the surrounding Nether energy, gradually weakening their vitality and interfering with Mana circulation.]

[Members of the Zombie Race possessing weaker Bloodlines suffer increased Bloodline Suppression while inside the Domain.]

[The range and strength of the Domain depend on the user’s Echelon, Mana, Magic, and Bloodline purity.]

That skill immediately became one of Cain’s greatest concerns.

If Serath created his Domain while surrounded by thousands of dead zombies, the battlefield itself could become advantageous to him.

Cain remembered Mo Xuanye’s Heaven-Devouring Demonic Art.

Perhaps the two would interact in an interesting way.

Well, he thought about such a thing later as he continued to read the description.

—> [Nether Emperor’s Decree]

[Releases the Imperial authority contained within the Nether Emperor Bloodline toward designated targets.]

[Members of the Zombie Race possessing inferior Bloodlines experience overwhelming instinctive and Bloodline Suppression.]

[Significantly weaker members of the Zombie Race may be forcibly compelled to submit or obey simple commands.]

[Against beings outside the Zombie Race, the Decree manifests as powerful spiritual and supernatural pressure capable of disrupting concentration and Mana control.]

[The effect decreases substantially against beings possessing comparable Bloodlines, extraordinarily powerful wills, or significantly greater strength.]

—> [Nether Emperor’s Hand]

[Condenses enormous quantities of highly purified Nether and Death energy around the user’s hand before releasing it through a physical strike.]

[Targets struck are flooded with corrosive Nether energy that damages flesh, vitality, Mana pathways, and supernatural defenses.]

[Residual Nether energy continues spreading through the target after impact, interfering with regeneration and Mana circulation until it is expelled, purified, or destroyed.]

—> [Nether Devouring]

[Allows the user to absorb compatible Death energy, residual Mana, Blood Essence, and lingering Life energy released by dead or dying beings.]

[Absorbed energy is purified through the Nether Emperor Bloodline before being converted into Mana, Blood Essence, or regenerative energy.]

[The user may absorb residual energy from nearby corpses without direct physical contact.]

[The amount and efficiency of absorbed energy depend on the strength of the source and the user’s Echelon.]

[Foreign Talents, Skills, and Bloodlines cannot be directly absorbed.]

Cain’s eyes sharpened as he found another devouring ability.

Different from Mo Xuanye’s method, but similar enough in purpose.

That meant allowing Serath to remain surrounded by corpses could become a serious problem.

And then Cain reached the final Skill.

—> [Nether Emperor’s Resurrection]

[Automatically activates when the user suffers otherwise fatal damage.]

[The Nether Emperor Bloodline consumes enormous quantities of Mana, Blood Essence, and Nether energy to preserve the user’s consciousness, Mana Core, and essential vital functions.]

[If the user’s body has not been completely destroyed and sufficient energy remains, damaged vital areas are rapidly reconstructed and the user may return from a state that would normally result in death.]

[Upon successful resurrection, the user’s Mana, Blood Essence, vitality, and regenerative ability are severely depleted.]

[Nether Emperor’s Resurrection cannot activate again until the Bloodline has completely recovered from its previous activation.]

Cain stared at the description.

For several seconds, he said nothing.

Ron noticed the change in his expression.

He had known Cain for far too long that he knew Cain rarely reacted this seriously after inspecting someone.

"Is it that bad?"

Cain closed the information.

His golden eyes remained fixed on the white-clothed figure in the distance.

"Yeah."

Ron stopped smiling.

Mo Xuanye looked toward Serath again.

"How bad?"

Cain released a slow breath before replying.

"He has two Origin-rank Talents."

That was enough to make several people near him turn their heads.

Even Mo Xuanye’s expression changed slightly.

Cain continued.

"And several Divine-rank ones."

Ron stared ahead.

"...Fuck."

"That’s not the worst part."

Cain’s grip tightened around his sword.

"He gets stronger when he’s seriously injured. His Dragon scales can adapt against attacks they’re repeatedly exposed to, and he has powerful regeneration."

Cain paused briefly.

There was no reason to explain every single ability here as they did not have that much time.

"He also has a skill that can bring him back after fatal damage as long as his body isn’t completely destroyed and he still has enough energy."

This time, nobody responded.

Viktor’s eyes narrowed.

Aurelia had approached close enough to hear the explanation.

"So... In another word, we may have to kill him twice."

"Basically yeah."

Cain looked toward the enormous number of corpses left near the entrance.

"And don’t leave corpses around him if you can avoid it. He can absorb residual energy from the dead."

Mo Xuanye’s dark eyes narrowed with interest.

"Another devouring ability."

"Yeah." Cain nodded and glanced toward him as he continued, "His Domain can also saturate the battlefield with Nether and Death energy, strengthening his regeneration and recovery."

Mo Xuanye understood the implication immediately.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Interesting."

Cain looked at him strangely.

"That’s your response?"

"What else should it be?" Mo Xuanye shrugged, then shifted his attention toward Serath.

"If he were weak, coming here would have been disappointing."

Cain laughed quietly.

"You’re fucking insane."

"Perhaps." Mo Xuanye chuckled lightly.

Farther down the avenue, Serath finally moved.
