The facility’s outer patrol fell within seconds, Vivian’s precise, coordinated strike dropping both guards before either could raise a proper alarm, and the strike team surged forward through the opening, breaching the disguised logging outpost’s entrance with practiced, considerable speed.

"Multiple hostiles inside," Vivian called, her enhanced senses already cataloguing the structure’s interior layout. "At least six, possibly more, spread across two levels."

The first true engagement erupted the moment they cleared the entrance hall, three armed operatives emerging from a side corridor with weapons already raised, and Allen felt the world narrow into focused, immediate clarity as Guardian’s Wrath surged fully to life, his own considerable strength amplifying in response to the danger now bearing down on his family.

Irene met the first operative with a wall of controlled flame, driving him back into his companions’ own line of fire and buying Allen the half-second he needed to close the distance, his blade finding its mark with clean, decisive precision. Myria handled the second with her own crystalline, considerable technique, ice forming rapid, immobilizing restraints before the man could properly recover his footing, while Vivian’s patient, practiced strikes ended the third engagement almost before it had genuinely begun.

"Clear," Priya’s voice confirmed through the coordination channel, her own tactical team securing the entrance hall behind them. "Proceeding to lower levels."

The stairwell descent revealed a facility considerably larger than Gamma-Nine’s own footprint, corridors branching into what Myria’s scanning equipment identified as an active research wing, and Allen found himself, moving carefully through the facility’s considerable, occupied depths, bracing for whatever resistance still waited ahead.

It came in a sudden, considerable rush near the facility’s central chamber, four additional operatives emerging from concealed positions with coordinated, practiced precision, and the engagement that followed tested Fallen Crown’s own hard-won discipline more thoroughly than anything since Kestrel’s own fierce tournament duel.

"Formation break, left flank!" Myria called, already adjusting their positioning as the operatives pressed a coordinated assault, and Allen felt the Kinetic Resonance Field’s familiar, compressed rhythm settle over his own perception as he moved to counter, his blade meeting a considerable, skilled opponent’s own defensive strikes in an exchange that demanded every ounce of his accumulated, hard-won mastery.

Everlyn’s vines erupted from cracks in the concrete floor, ensnaring two operatives simultaneously and buying the rest of the team crucial, considerable openings, and the engagement’s tide shifted decisively, four skilled operatives ultimately proving insufficient against a family that had spent years learning to fight as a single, unified whole.

"Clear," Vivian confirmed finally, breathing hard, the chamber settling into ringing, considerable silence.

They found the facility’s own version of Gamma-Nine’s records room shortly after, considerably more extensive, active servers humming with fresh, ongoing data rather than dormant, archived files, and Myria moved immediately to begin securing whatever the facility’s own considerable research had produced.

"This is different," she said slowly, studying the active displays with mounting, focused attention. "Not simply storage. Active experimentation. Recent."

Allen felt cold dread settle in his chest at the observation, watching Myria’s expression shift through careful, considerable horror as she worked through the facility’s own current research. "What kind of experimentation?"

"Bloodline resonance studies," Myria said, voice tight with controlled alarm. "Cross-referencing considerable genetic markers against historical Founder lineage records. There’s a name flagged throughout, repeated across dozens of entries — not a person’s name. A designation. ’Anchor Candidate, Provisional.’"

"Does it say who?" Allen asked, dread coiling tighter.

Myria’s hands stilled over the console, her own composed exterior finally, visibly cracking as she found the answer buried within the facility’s considerable, active files. "Allen," she said quietly. "It’s you."

The chamber fell into heavy, devastating silence, and Allen felt the ground shift beneath six years of careful, hard-won understanding, the mountain’s own considerable, waiting truth finally, properly revealing itself as something considerably larger, and considerably more personal, than any of them had yet dared to fully imagine.

"An anchor for what?" Irene demanded, fury and fear warring plainly across her expression.

"I don’t know yet," Myria admitted, already scrolling deeper into the file. "The terminology references something called the Great Becoming. There’s a cross-reference to Founder lineage, and a note — ’subject’s emotional stability, cultivated bond structure, exceeds baseline projections. Continue passive observation.’"

Vivian’s expression had gone carefully, deliberately still. "Cultivated," she repeated. "Allen. That word. It’s not describing you finding us. It’s describing something they arranged."

"That’s not possible," Allen said, though the protest came out considerably less certain than he intended. "I found all of you myself. I chose you."

"You did," Myria said quickly, steadying. "I believe that completely. But someone may have been quietly shaping the circumstances around that choice for considerably longer than either of us understood. That doesn’t make what we built less real. It means someone’s been watching it happen, patiently, from the very beginning."

Priya’s voice cut through the coordination channel before Allen could properly respond, sharp and urgent. "Server wipe initiating remotely! Pull everything you can, now!"

Myria’s hands flew across the console, extracting what data she could before the system’s own considerable countermeasures finally, completely erased it, and the chamber’s lights flickered once, sharply, before settling back into steady, watchful calm.

"We got enough," she said finally, breathing hard. "Not everything. But enough."

Allen stood amid the facility’s considerable, devastating revelation, the mountain’s own patient truth settling over him with weight he hadn’t properly braced for, and felt his family gather close around him, five people bracing together once more for a mystery that had, in a single, considerable moment, become considerably more personal than any of them had ever anticipated.

"Whatever this actually means," he said quietly, "we face it together."

"Together," Myria echoed, and the strike team began its careful, considerable withdrawal, carrying with them a truth that would take considerable time to properly, fully understand — six years of buried history finally uncovered, and now, waiting just beyond it, a truth that reached, apparently, all the way back to the very beginning of Allen’s own extraordinary life.
