Chapter 68: Chapter 68: What Is Your Visualization

Xavier felt a genuine pang of disappointment. Still, he quickly reminded himself that the failed investment did not change the most important result. Mira’s injury had healed.

That alone made the 7th-grade pill worth using.

As for why the system had rejected the investment, he would investigate later.

Perhaps the restriction was connected to the secret realm. After all, while inside the secret realm, his Chaos Body had behaved strangely, almost as though some invisible restriction had been broken.

It was possible that the system’s rules had also been affected by whatever happened there.

For now, there was no point speculating. He would wait until Snow woke up and conduct more experiments.

"Since we’re done worrying about that, let’s eat," Xavier said, smiling, and called Mira over to help prepare dinner.

* * *

Later that evening, Xavier had barely finished eating when his phone rang. He had originally planned to wash up, relax, and spend some quiet time with his wife.

Unfortunately, Principal Johnny’s call ruined those plans.

After Mira left to answer the call, Xavier returned to their room and began sorting through everything he had obtained from the secret realm.

"If I’m going to be sitting around anyway, I might as well use this opportunity to strengthen myself," he murmured.

He began organizing the pills according to their grades. Anything below 5th grade could be ignored for the moment.

He had thirty six 5th-grade pills. Among them were nine Lesser Enlightenment Pills, four Creation Pills, four Star God Pills, ten Saint Essence Pills, six Marrow Cleansing Pills, and three unfamiliar Spirit Movement Pills.

The Spirit Movement Pill was essentially a weaker version of the Divine Descent Pill. Both could temporarily forcefully increase a martial artist’s combat strength, but once the effect ended, the user would enter a weakened state.

Next came the 6th-grade pills. There were eight of them in total. Three Evergreen Pills. Two Divine Descent Pills. Two Saint Healing Pills. And one Saint Favor Pill.

The Saint Healing Pill possessed considerably stronger healing properties than the Evergreen Pill, although it did not restore stamina or provide prolonged recovery.

The Saint Favor Pill was even more unusual. It combined the effects of several precious resources, including Constitution Essence, Sacred Water, and the Star God Pill.

Its primary purpose was to enhance martial arts talent and strengthen special bloodlines or physiques.

Xavier immediately set that pill aside. He planned to consume it shortly.

Finally, he examined the 7th-grade pills. After removing the Saint Purification Pill he had already given Mira, only one remained.

The Great Enlightenment Pill. Just as its name suggested, it was an advanced version of the Lesser Enlightenment Pill.

[Great Enlightenment Pill: Grade 7]

[Effect: Upon consumption, clears distracting thoughts and increases martial arts cultivation speed by 100 times. There is also a chance of entering a state of enlightenment. The effects last for more than twenty-four hours. Once the effect ends, the user’s comprehension of martial arts will be permanently increased slightly.]

Xavier carefully read the description. A strange realization surfaced in his mind.

The power of the Great Enlightenment Pill was not limited to simply accelerating cultivation. It could also help push his understanding of martial arts to an entirely different level.

In that instant, Xavier understood something. His Heaven Piercing Sixfold Finger had already accumulated enough insight to advance again.

However, now was not the time to cultivate it. His immediate priority was his cultivation realm.

"There’s no need to rush the martial skill," Xavier murmured, picking up a Creation Pill and the Saint Favor Pill. "I’ll strengthen my cultivation first."

He swallowed both pills together. A tremendous medicinal force immediately erupted inside his body.

Xavier closed his eyes and began circulating his cultivation technique, calmly refining the overwhelming energy.

Meanwhile, Mira had gotten an urgent message from Principal Johnny, hence she needed to leave immediately.

She came back to inform Xavier that she needed to leave but found him cultivating.

She thought against disturbing him and took her leave.

Within the hour, she found herself standing inside the principal’s office at Arcadia Academy.

Vice Minister Samuel Bush studied Mira with a faint, approving smile. She looked completely different from the weakened young woman he had heard about.

There was energy in her eyes now, and the exhaustion that had once accompanied her every movement was nowhere to be seen.

Samuel was about to speak when he glanced toward the academy’s principal, Johnny, who was sitting nearby.

He knew exactly what he wanted to discuss with Mira, and if he intended to recruit her, the first thing he needed to do was get rid of the person most likely to interfere.

Meanwhile, Mira was surprised to see the minister here when the vice principal was the one who contacted her.

"Johnny, I need to speak with Mira about something important," he said. "Would you mind stepping outside for a moment?"

Johnny’s eyes immediately widened.

"Absolutely not," he said.

Samuel’s smile disappeared. Johnny leaned back in his chair and folded his arms.

"Mira is an Arcadia Academy student," he said. "As her principal, I have a responsibility to protect her interests. Even though you had asked me to call her here because you wanted to ask her about the hunting ground. I need to be here. What if you try to pressure her into agreeing or disagreeing to something?

Mira brow furrowed. Oh, this is what this is all about?

These old men. She almost scoffed out loud.

Samuel’s expression darkened slightly.

"I’m the vice minister of the Extraordinary Division," he said. "Do you honestly think I would deliberately make things difficult for one of your students?"

Johnny gave him a skeptical look.

"Wouldn’t be the first time someone from your division tried to steal one of my students," he said.

Samuel’s mouth twitched. The two men had known each other for years, so Johnny trusted Samuel’s character.

That was not the issue. He simply knew exactly what was happening. The Extraordinary Division had a habit of recruiting promising young martial artists, and Samuel had just learned that Mira might have obtained an inheritance from the Hunting Ground Secret Realm.

There was no way Johnny was going to leave her alone with him.

Samuel sighed.

"Fine," he said. "You really think I don’t know what you’re doing?" He shook his head helplessly.

"Stay if you want. But whatever you hear in this room stays here. You cannot repeat it to anyone."

Johnny immediately slapped a hand against his chest.

"Of course," he said. "I’m the most trustworthy man you’ll ever meet."

Samuel stared at him for a moment. That answer somehow made him trust Johnny even less, but he decided not to argue. Instead, he turned his attention back to Mira.

"Mira, I’ve heard that the Hunting Ground Secret Realm wasn’t an ordinary invasion type secret realm," he said. "Apparently, it was an inheritance realm." His expression became serious. "Did you obtain anything from it?"

Johnny’s entire body stiffened. He stared at Samuel as though he had just heard something impossible.

"What did you say?" he demanded. "The Hunting Ground was an inheritance realm?" His gaze immediately snapped toward Mira.

"Are you telling me she actually obtained an inheritance inside?"

Johnny’s reaction was understandable.

Unlike Samuel, who spent much of his time dealing with threats and incidents across the region, Johnny devoted a considerable amount of his life to studying extraordinary phenomena and martial development.

He understood exactly what an inheritance realm could mean.

"Mira," he asked urgently, "is that true?"

Mira had already anticipated this question. She had been unconscious alongside the others when the secret realm closed, but there was no realistic way to conceal the fact that she had entered the palace with Lydia.

If the academy and the Extraordinary Division had already connected the palace to the secret realm’s inheritance, denying everything would only make her look suspicious.

There was also no reason to hide the visualization inheritance itself.

So Mira nodded.

"Yes, Principal Johnny. Minister Samuel is right," she said. "I did receive an inheritance from the Hunting Ground."

Johnny stared at her. Samuel’s eyes lit up.

"What kind of inheritance?" he asked. "Was it a martial technique? A weapon? An elixir? Something else?"

His excitement was obvious, but he quickly restrained himself.

"If it is something that can benefit the Extraordinary Division, we would be willing to exchange resources of equal value for it." He raised a hand before Mira could misunderstand.

"I’m not asking you to hand over something that belongs to you for free. The Division will compensate you fairly. You can consider the offer carefully."

Mira shook her head.

"I’m sorry, Minister Samuel, but there’s nothing I can hand over," she said.

Samuel frowned slightly.

"I only received one inheritance," she explained, touching her temple.

"It’s a visualization that was directly imprinted into my mind. I don’t have a physical copy of it, so I can’t give it to anyone else."

Samuel’s disappointment lasted only a moment. He understood that if the inheritance existed solely within Mira’s mind, there was genuinely no way for her to simply hand it over.

Johnny, however, immediately became curious.

"What does the visualization look like?" he asked.
