"I hope we’ll have opportunities to cooperate in the future," Solomon said, smiling.

"I look forward to it," Xavier replied.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Solomon and Evelyn finally left. Only then did Xavier turn back toward Gerald.

"You were asking about payment earlier," he said.

Gerald immediately straightened.

"Yes, Mr. X," he answered.

"You already know I don’t have enough points on my card," Xavier said, smiling. "Take me to the appraisal room. I’ll settle the bill there."

Gerald’s eyes lit up.

"Of course!" he said, and immediately led the way.

As they walked away, Gerald could not help glancing at Xavier.

He had witnessed the entire conversation between Xavier and Solomon, and his attitude toward Xavier had changed completely.

A mysterious young alchemist who could produce Grade Five pills? Skywater Pavilion absolutely could not afford to overlook someone like this. If possible, they needed to establish a relationship with him immediately.

The payment went far more smoothly than expected. Gauis was already waiting in the appraisal room, and when he saw Xavier enter, his eyes immediately brightened.

He had been wondering what kind of treasures the mysterious guest would bring out this time, and his curiosity was quickly satisfied.

Xavier opened his spatial ring and began placing jade bottles on the table, one after another. Grade Three pills. Grade Four pills. And finally, a Grade Five pill.

Gauis’s expression became increasingly excited as he examined each bottle.

The quality was exactly what he had come to expect from Mr. X, flawless, every single one.

The number of pills alone was astonishing, and with the value of the items Xavier had purchased tonight, even this enormous collection of pills was barely enough to settle the bill.

But Xavier did not stop there. He took out another jade bottle.

"This is a Grade Five Saint Essence Pill," he said.

Gauis’s hands trembled slightly.

"A Saint Essence Pill?" he breathed.

Xavier nodded.

"I’d like Skywater Pavilion to auction it during next week’s auction," he said.

Gauis stared at the pill for several seconds before carefully accepting it.

"Of course," he said. "We’ll handle everything personally."

Not far away, Solomon and Evelyn had not yet left, and they happened to witness the scene. The father and daughter exchanged a glance.

The sheer number of high grade pills Xavier possessed only reinforced their previous conclusion. This mysterious Mr. X was undoubtedly backed by an extraordinary alchemy bloodline.

After the final calculations were completed, Xavier collected the Creation Pill and the other items he had purchased.

Gerald immediately offered to arrange an escort, and Solomon also offered to have his people accompany him. Xavier declined both.

"There’s no need," he said. "I prefer traveling alone."

After saying that, he left Skywater Pavilion. He did not head straight home.

Instead, Xavier deliberately moved through several busy parts of Valemont, changing routes repeatedly, entering crowded streets, passing through several commercial districts, stopping briefly at a busy intersection, and then changing direction again.

He remained alert the entire time, and only after he was satisfied that no one was following him did he enter a quiet alley.

Once he was certain he was alone, Xavier removed his mask.

The identity of Mr. X disappeared, and the ordinary looking Xavier Kane emerged once again. He tucked the mask away and finally headed home.

Tonight had gone exactly according to plan. He had obtained the Creation Pill, acquired several other valuable resources, strengthened his connection with the Hart family, and, most importantly, successfully created another layer of protection around his true identity.

Now it was time to see what the Creation Pill could do.

By the time Xavier returned home, the night was already quiet.

The moment he stepped through the door, a smile spread across his face.

"Honey, I brought you a surprise," he called out.

Mira was still in her room cultivating, and hearing his voice, she looked up.

Xavier did not keep her waiting. He walked over and emptied several items into her hands: six Grade Four pills, one Grade Five pill, and a small bottle containing the mysterious Constitution Essence.

Mira stared at the collection in disbelief. She had already grown accustomed to her husband’s habit of returning home with an unreasonable number of cultivation resources, but even so, her eyes widened when she recognized the most important item among them.

"This is..." she breathed, her gaze locking onto the jade bottle. "The Creation Pill?"

Xavier grinned.

"You guessed right," he said. "I bought it for you."

Seeing the astonishment on her face, Xavier felt a small sense of satisfaction, because he enjoyed surprising his wife.

Unfortunately, he barely had time to enjoy her reaction.

The instant the Creation Pill entered Mira’s hands, the system’s notifications erupted inside his mind.

The returns were certainly impressive, he had invested a creation pill and gotten one for himself. Imagine if he had taken it for himself without giving Mira, he would lose both ways.

But then, something else left him slightly dissatisfied.

It was not the multiplier, since a 25x return on a Grade Five Creation Pill was already excellent. The problem was that he had expected something else.

When he previously invested the Star God Pill, the system had directly rewarded him by strengthening his Chaos Body.

This time, however, nothing had happened to his own body.

Xavier narrowed his eyes.

The effect would only last for roughly one to ten minutes, but that was already terrifying.
