[Congratulations, Host! Your investment of an Ice Rune Fragment has triggered a 10x return. You have received a Fire Rune Stone!]
Xavier eagerly reviewed the results. Most of his investments had produced returns ranging from two to twenty times their original value.
Those rewards were already worthwhile, but the final notification had given him an unexpected surprise.
A thousandfold return! A 5th-Grade elixir had been transformed into an 8th-Grade treasure!
Xavier could barely contain his excitement. However, when he examined the Primordial Chaos Pill’s properties, his delight grew even stronger.
[Primordial Chaos Pill: 8th Grade]
[Effect: Contains vast quantities of pure spiritual energy drawn from heaven and earth. Consuming it can greatly enhance a martial artist’s physical strength and cultivation realm. However, martial artists below the Spirit Platform Realm may be unable to withstand or fully absorb its effects. There is a risk of their bodies being overwhelmed by the energy and exploding, with the danger increasing as their cultivation level decreases. Use with caution.]
Xavier immediately understood how valuable the pill was. It was practically an enhanced version of a 5th-Grade Creation Pill, except that its effects were on an entirely different level.
Most importantly, it could directly strengthen the very foundation he needed to improve.
He had no intention of wasting such an opportunity. Xavier took out the Primordial Chaos Pill and swallowed it without hesitation.
Unlike the elixirs he had consumed previously, this one did not dissolve immediately upon entering his mouth. As it reached his stomach, the pill seemed to transform into a miniature source of spiritual energy.
Waves of pure energy poured out of it, only to be devoured and assimilated by the chaotic energy circulating within his body.
His fourth spiritual platform space was quickly flooded with chaotic energy, as though a heavenly river had suddenly poured into it.
A faint cracking sound echoed from within him. Every cell seemed to awaken, and his flesh and bones underwent a subtle but unmistakable transformation.
Xavier could feel his physical strength rising to another level.
At the same time, the entrance to his fifth spiritual platform space opened, allowing the surging chaotic energy to pour inside.
Once that space began filling, the energy continued into the sixth and then the seventh.
The pill’s effects were astonishingly powerful. Only when his seventh spiritual platform space was about half full did the torrent of energy finally subside.
By then, Xavier had completely absorbed the 8th-Grade Primordial Chaos Pill.
His cultivation had advanced from the 4th-Level of the Spirit Platform Realm straight to the 7th!
The sudden increase in strength filled his entire body with tremendous power. It surged through him like a volcano on the verge of eruption, leaving him feeling as though his strength had multiplied several times over.
"Now that feels good!" Xavier opened his eyes, unable to hide his satisfaction.
He had a strong feeling that his current self could take on three opponents as powerful as he had been before consuming the pill.
"As expected of an 8th-Grade elixir," he grinned. "Its effects are ridiculous!"
He savored the improvement before gradually calming himself down. There was still a great deal to examine among his other rewards.
Ignoring everything below the 4th Grade, Xavier began counting his current collection.
"I have 365 4th-Grade elixirs, sixty six 5th-Grade elixirs, and seven 6th-Grade elixirs," he murmured.
His expression brightened as he considered the numbers, though he soon let out a small sigh.
"Unfortunately, I still only have one 7th-Grade elixir: the Great Enlightenment Pill," he said.
Among his seven 6th-Grade elixirs, there were the Saint Favor Pill, Evergreen Pill, and Saint Healing Pill he already possessed, along with a newly acquired treasure known as the Heaven and Earth Pill.
The Heaven and Earth Pill had a particularly interesting effect. It could help martial artists break through the limits of their bodies and overcome bottlenecks in their cultivation.
In that regard, it was similar to the Limit-Breaking Pill and the Boundary-Breaking Pill.
However, the Heaven and Earth Pill could only benefit martial artists below the Divine Power Realm, and the weaker the user, the more pronounced its effects would be.

Ever since he entered the Body Tempering Realm, his cultivation had advanced without him encountering any meaningful bottlenecks.
The elixir was undoubtedly valuable, but he had no immediate need for it.
Xavier put it away after a brief inspection. His attention then shifted to the Fire Rune Stone.
"This thing is rather interesting," he murmured.
[Fire Rune Stone]
[Function: A complete fire rune that allows a martial artist to gain initial control over the power of fire.]
Control over flames? Xavier’s eyes lit up as he read the description.
Like rune fragments, rune stones needed to be activated by infusing them with spiritual energy or a similar source of power.
He held the rune stone in his left hand and slowly channeled chaotic energy into it. Then he extended his right hand, palm facing upward, and focused his thoughts.
An orange flame appeared above his palm as though it had materialized out of thin air.
Xavier continued feeding chaotic energy into the rune stone, and the flame grew larger and more intense.
Within moments, it had risen to a height of two meters. Its color gradually shifted from orange yellow to a deeper orange blue, while the surrounding air began to distort under the intense heat.
Xavier watched the flames for a moment before deciding to stop.
"Forget it," he said. "This isn’t the place to experiment with it. I’ll find somewhere empty to test it properly tomorrow or the day after."
He withdrew his chaotic energy, causing the flames to disappear.
From what he could tell, he had barely scratched the surface of the rune stone’s true potential.
However, continuing his experiments inside the villa would be foolish. If he lost control of the flames, he might accidentally burn down his own room. There was no need to take such a risk.
"It’s getting late. Time to sleep." He muttered to himself.
Xavier glanced at his phone and realized it was already past ten o’clock.
He put away the remaining items and settled down for the night.
Over the next few days, he planned to devote himself to cultivation and make the most of his recent gains.
After all, there was no point in possessing so many valuable resources if he did not take the time to turn them into strength.
**********
The first light of morning filtered through the villa windows, casting a warm glow over the dining room.
After breakfast, Mira lingered beside Xavier for a moment, looking as though she wanted to say something but was unsure how to bring it up.
Eventually, she moved closer and lowered her voice.
"Honey, would it be all right if I gave some of the elixirs you gave me to my mother?" she asked.
Xavier glanced at her, then smiled.
"Of course," he said. "They’re yours now, so you can decide what to do with them."
"Thank you, honey!" Mira’s expression brightened, but her excitement soon gave way to hesitation.
"There’s something else I wanted to discuss with you. General Victoria Quill wants to take me as her personal disciple and bring me to the border for training. I still haven’t decided whether I should accept her offer."
"That’s entirely up to you," Xavier replied calmly.
"With me around, you don’t have to worry about cultivation resources, regardless of where you train. However, Valemont hasn’t been particularly peaceful lately. I’d prefer you to stay at the academy, concentrate on your cultivation, and avoid wandering off unnecessarily."
Mira nodded obediently.
"I understand, honey," she said. "I’m so lucky to have you."
Xavier smiled without saying anything more.
He had no objections to Mira giving some of her elixirs to Helena.
He had already received the system’s returns from his investments, so there was no reason for him to cling to the original resources.
In fact, he would be happy if Mira shared more of them with her mother.
That would give him another opportunity to invest in Helena in the future and potentially receive additional rewards.
Of course, he would still have to make sure Helena could safely use whatever he gave her.
There was no point in investing more elixirs than she could absorb, only for the investment to fail because she could not activate or consume them properly.
After settling the matter with Mira, Xavier left the villa alone and headed for an unnamed hill north of Arcadia Academy.
