Chapter 471 - 471: To Victory!
Extra galactic communication was a big step forward for the Milky Way, or more specifically the Germanic Star-Empire who managed the feat. Because of this, Tia set aside several processes to analyze the communication between Mirage and the civilization which picked up the probe.
To put it simply, the galaxy this civilization lived in was in a state of partial infestation. Tia had after all classified Four classifications for Galaxies and their state of contact with the Naraku, which were as follows:
Type I Galaxy: Free of Naraku Infestation – No signs of contact from the Naraku
Type II Galaxy: Minor Infestation – Naraku Scout Fleets are confirmed to be located within the galaxy performing the roles of gathering intelligence for a future invasion, assassination of high-profile targets. And generally disrupting the galaxy from achieving a state where they can defend themselves.
Type III Galaxy: Partial Infestation – The Naraku have begun their invasion, and have partial control over the galaxy.
Type IV Galaxy: Full Infestation – The Naraku have conquered the Galaxy and have either begun to extract all of its resources and terraform the celestial bodies within it, or have already done so. Either way, no signs of biological life outside of the Naraku.
This new galaxy, which Tia’s probes had made contact with was of the Type III variety, but in the very early stages of a Naraku invasion. Meaning that the Naraku held less than 25% of the Galaxy, but were likely deemed a threat to all life forms native to the galaxy.
As for the Milky Way, in Erich’s first life it was classified as a Type II Galaxy, but by now was in the stage of Type III. Whereas the nearby galaxies of Andromeda and Triangulum would be classified as Type IV Galaxies.
Because of this, Tia estimated that it would be a few hundred years before the Galaxy was overwhelmed by the Naraku, giving Erich and his future galactic empire the time necessary to defeat the Naraku in the Milky Way, Unify the Galaxy, and purge the nearby Type IV Galaxies, before eventually moving on to save what remained of the civilizations within this nearby Type III Galaxy.
After creating a rather thorough report on how she felt, Erich should proceed. Tia sent it to the man’s NeuroLink as a file for him to read in his leisure. He was, after all quite busy these days negotiating with the other Interstellar Civilizations who wanted to make use of his armed forces to save themselves.
But Erich was not so benevolent and instead wanted to conserve his strength in order to strike back against the weakened galaxy and its major players after the Naraku were finally driven out of the Milky Way altogether.
Thus, after going through all of a day’s work in regards to diplomacy. Eirch finally sat back in his chair and cracked open a beer. Mirage had joined him for this, and the two of them chatted about their work. Where Mirage eventually made a comment regarding her extra-galactic contact. Prompting Erich to read the message Tia had sent him earlier in the day.
Once he had done so, he approved her plan for how to proceed before telling Mirage all about it.
“By Tia’s estimates it will take the Naraku another five centuries to bring down the galaxy and all the civilizations in it. Because of this, she recommends going the long route. Establishing communication with the major players in the galaxy, and sharing information on the Naraku, but nothing that would enhance their chances of suddenly achieving a victory.
Then, when we are done dealing with the bugs in the Milky Way over the course of the next few decades, we will move on as planned to Andromeda and Triangulum. Where over the course of the next three hundred years, purge both galaxies. Only to emerge in this type III galaxy where we will show up as the cavalry.
Eliminating the bugs, and liberating the worlds afflicted by them. Where we will be welcomed as heroes. We will extend an offer of friendship, asking these civilizations to join our empire for security sake, where if they agree we will vassalize them peacefully like we plan to do with the Elves, the Asurans, and the Ennead.
If they refuse, we will bring the might of our army upon them, and wipe the record of their civilization and their species from history. After we incorporate this galaxy into our dominion either through diplomacy or war. We will move on from there to the rest of the local cluster.
Do you have any qualms with this plan?”
Mirage shook her head while finishing her beer, motioning for Erich to fetch her another. Considering he was also in need of a beverage, he chose to do so, handing her off the fresh drink, which she popped its bottle cap off via the edge of his desk, and chugged half of the bottle before finally responding to his words.
“Nope, as far as I’m concerned those who do not bend the knee to our Empire deserve to broken by its might. Did you forget we are of the same generation? I’m not like our children. I know what duty to your people means.
It comes above all else. I have no sympathy for aliens who do not know their place. So I will do as you ask, play the part of a friend and ally suffering from a similar catastrophe, and use this offer of friendship to learn everything I can from these aliens.
Feeding them the poison of hope that we are coming to save them, eventually. And in the end, their hope will turn to ash in their mouth as they realize we are not there to liberate them, but to conquer them. Either way, they will either willingly join us or be annihilated. Such is the nature of life.”
Erich was happy to see that at least one of his family members could be relied upon to do what was necessary for the glory of the Empire. And because of this, he made a toast to the woman with what was left of their beers.
“To victory!”
Mirage simply smiled and repeated the same words back to Erich as if they were her idea to begin with.
“To victory!”
