Chapter 459 - 459: Stalwart Protectors
Daelia stared at what remained of Sinaria’s corpse for a long time. A covert investigation was done immediately following the woman’s demise. First, an autopsy was performed to see how she died. Which it was concluded that she had willed her brain function to stop.
The reason for this was inexplicable, most likely a latent psychic power that she had never revealed before. As for the nanorobots in her bloodstream, they self-immolated, leaving behind not the slightest trace of their existence within Sinaria’s body’s bloodstream.
As far as Daelia was concerned, or the entity of darkness that had been possessing her since time immemorial, her daughter was well and truly dead. She would never suspect that her real identity and intentions had been seen through by Tia.
Or that preparations were made in advance for Sinaria to be resurrected in an uncorrupted form. And there had been no evidence left behind to support such a narrative. Thus, the newly appointed leader of the Federation’s Inquisition quickly approached Daelia and confirmed the results of their investigation.
“We have found no traces of contact with extra-terrestrial civilizations from the databanks, which Sinaria left behind. Nor has the autopsy revealed anything suspicious. It is as we first assumed. She killed herself, most likely with a secret psychic power that she had chosen to hide from us since her birth.
Does this satisfy your curiosity?”
Daelia silently nodded while continuing to stare at the lifeless body that had once belonged to her daughter. There was no sigh, nor tears. She showed absolutely no emotion as she ordered for the corpse to be immediately incinerated.
“That is good… Well I see no reason to keep this rotting flesh around any longer. Dispose of it will you?”
Daelia did not wait for a reaction, and instead immediately walked out. All the while her new Grand Inquisitor stared in disbelief at what she had just seen. That was cold. Even if Sinaria was tank bred, Daelia had raised her since she was a mere infant, as if she had personally given birth to the girl.
Yet there wasn’t the slightest trace of grief on the woman’s face, or in her voice when she decided to dispose of the girl’s corpse. Still, it was not the Inquisitor’s place to judge. Daelia was, after all, among the oldest living creatures in the galaxy.
And perhaps once you were that old you no longer felt the same connections to family as you did when you were younger. It was with this cope that the Inquisitor did as asked and thoroughly disposed of Sinaria’s corpse.
Not having the slightest idea that the girl had been resurrected thousands of light years away on Earth. Not that Sinaria was acting against the interests of her mother and her nation. Or more specifically, the ghostly entity which was in control.

War continued to wage across the galaxy. And while the Germanic Star-Empire was entirely unaffected, being the only major civilization across the Milky Way to stem the insectoid tide before they could deal any significant damage. The same could not be said for the other major powers.
Interestingly enough, though, those smaller civilizations which had been trapped in debt by the Germanic Star-Empire, and forced to cede territory for either military bases or mining colonies found themselves with an unusual degree of protection against the bugs.
For example, on the borders of Alfheim space, all other star systems surrounding the world of Xanthar Prime were either already devoured by the Naraku or currently besieged by them. Yet the Naraku Fleet which tried to do the same to the small minor power’s furthermost frontier world was actively prevented from doing so.
The Germanic Fleet dispatched to buy the locals enough time to evacuate was livestreaming as it took on the Naraku Hive Fleets which were sent to oppose it. The battle was initially a short and easy victory for the Germanic navy.
After all, the bugs had foolishly sent one fleet to deal with the star system, unaware that a Germanic fleet was dispatched to protect it. In a 1v1 fight, the Naraku were destined to lose against a Germanic Fleet which had multiple warships which actively protected the dreadnought.
And the dreadnought’s sole role was to locate and eliminate the Naraku Queenship attached to the fleet. Which once the massive energy beam obliterated its target, what remained of the Naraku in the fleet turned one another. Allowing the Germanic autonomous fighters and the capital class ships they protected to thoroughly mop up what remained of the enemy.
This livestream, in comparison to the horror shows that were found across the rest of the galaxy and their attempts to resist the Naraku showed that despite decades of humiliation which the race that inhabited Xanthar Prime had felt after giving up territory for a foreign military base. Proved to be a vital asset, one that allowed them to evacuate the world long enough for the entire population to escape further into their territory.
Not only that, but the Germanic Fleet then escaped the refugee ships safely out of the besieged system. Acting as the primary line of defense against the Naraku and their invasion. This livestream was worth its weight in gold.
As it displayed the Germanic Navies ability to fight off the Naraku, and protect the citizens of the civilizations which submitted to them in some capacity. It also showed that the Germanic Navy would not abandon the refugees, and would instead abandon their military base in order to protect the refugees.
Something which no other civilization in the Milky Way was willing to or even capable of doing. And thus, slowly but surely, the reputation of the Germanic Star-Empire, which had always been that of bloodthirsty and genocidal warriors. Slowly started transitioning to the stalwart protectors of the Galaxy.
Which would only further work towards Erich’s eventual goals of conquering the Galaxy altogether. After all, plenty of civilizations would submit before the New Galactic Order willingly if it meant they could gain the protection of the Germanic Military, especially after they dealt with the Naraku.
