After a few seconds, Dimitri inhaled deeply as he said slowly and in a serious tone, "Ioannis, Kayden, that is not the issue here. She did not count Laerad, that tree deity. She purposely said deified ones and humans. That already comprises seventeen people. Remember she asked us earlier if we wanted to know how many there were in total? It means, she did not include the non-humans yet."

I knew it. Dimitri never disappoints when it comes to these things.

After saying his piece, Dimitri held on to his forehead as if nursing a headache and he exhaled a shaky breath. I saw Ioannis grip tightly on to the sheets covering my bed, his eyes turning red but he chose not to say anything. As for Kayden, he hissed and cursed under his breath.

I nodded my head while looking at them, signifying that they were correct. There are indeed seventeen in total for deified ones and those that are still human. They are also correct that the number they computed in their minds did not include the non-humans also known as mystiques and the deities just yet.

Ioannis slowly lifted his hand and made a stop sign towards me. He inhaled and asked carefully, "If we add Laerad and those four that you have woken up... Wait, no. They are still your fiancés but they will definitely become your husbands sooner or later. No, that is not what I was trying to..."

Dimitri placed his hand on Ioannis shoulder and squeezed it as if asking him to calm down and gather his thoughts first. Dimitri took control of the conversation as he asked yet again a very important question, "Wife, we are not that knowledgeable about the other races in this world. My family knows the existence of Eieneos and the other mystique races but it is not like we know every single one of them unless it was written in the books from the royal archives."

As if having an epiphany, Kayden suddenly exclaimed, "Wait! Laerad and those four are deities! Dimitri is right! You said you had to have at least one child per mystique race for your mission! In the room of beginnings, there are already children from blood demons and fairies, right?"

Ioannis looked at me and asked, "You do not have to tell us how many other husbands there are. Just keep that information for now. I don’t think my heart can take any more than this for today."

Dimitri held on to Ioannis that was gearing to stand up and leave. Ioannis looked back and Dimitri shook his head to tell him to sit back down and stay. He then looked at me and clarified, "We are not here to question, delay or stop your mission in any way. We already knew about it before we even married you and joined your family. We just want to know our position amidst all of this."

I smiled at the trio and with a gentle voice, I said, "You do know that I personally chose and accepted all of you. I also chose to have children with each of you and even brought you back to marry once again here in my palace. I also introduced you formally to my parents and now you are living here together. The details of my mission will never change your position in the family or in my heart no matter how many husbands come to the picture or how many children are born afterwards."

The trio gave me meek smiles, seemingly not entirely convinced of my words. I guess I have to borrow some modern sayings to fully convince them. I have to say more to build a bit of credibility here.

I sighed and continued after gathering my thoughts, "I believe that the love a person has can expand infinitely. It is like a cause and effect. I learned to love my life here and the current me so in return, I found you all and shared that love to you as well including your family members. Because of our love for each other, it gave way to our children being born and we also loved them a lot. Love doesn’t run out just because there are more husbands and children, right? I may not have all the time to be with you all but I am doing my best to spend some quality time instead whenever I am free."

In my head, I am already thanking Kelly Barnhill for that children’s book that I luckily came across back on earth. I got the ideas about love being infinite from there. I just sincerely hope that these words were enough to convince these currently jealous and overthinking husbands of mine.

I understand their insecurity since mystiques are of a different standard in terms of looks and abilities. These three might not have even realized that I also chose them for their looks, personality and abilities too even if they were humans before. They just fit my type of guy perfectly which was why I got attracted to them in the first place.

Another point to consider is that I am previously human before I became a daughter of deities here in this world. I was also brought to the human realm first so I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that I am more attracted and comfortable with being with humans on a daily basis.

This logic sounds quite reasonable to me but it is just that I never explained my origins completely. They did not know about my life back on Earth, just the life I had in Eieneos. They simply thought that since I have been living with humans for quite some time now, I imbibed a lot of the human habits and preferences.

The heart-to-heart talk lasted for another hour which sounded more of coaxing and convincing from my side. At the end of the conversation, it seemed like they also made an agreement on who will spend time with me first out of the three of them. They just let me know after everything they have finished whatever they discussed in whispers in one side of my room.

Oh, well, the only thing they asked me about was how long I would be staying in Eieneos this time. After I answered, my nights are already as good as planned. I will be staying 2 nights with each husband with one day of rest all to myself in between before I spend time with the next one. At least, they still have a bit of mercy for me.
