Inheritance of Two Trillion
Chapter 2928: Accusing Bai Xiaosheng (2)
“Then Mrs. Margery should come to me.” Wen Yan added.
Vice Chairman Morgan sneered and glanced at Bai Xiaosheng, “Mr. Wen Yan, my next words are not directed at you, nor do they express distrust. But Bai Xiaosheng is the second-in-command of the Inspection Department. It’s hard to guarantee he won’t confuse your judgment. The Inspection Department demands even career presidents and vice chairmen to be wary! How dare Mrs. Margery!”
“Moreover!”
Vice Chairman Morgan looked at the crowd and declared with a serious tone, “Bai Xiaosheng used his position as the second seat in the Inspection Department to threaten our excellent corporate managers, claiming that if they dared refuse or report him, he had ways to leave them with nothing, or even subject them to heavy investigation. He stated he could fabricate evidence against them and send them to prison! Everyone, listen! How horrifying is this! Not only would their future be destroyed, but they could also face imprisonment! How could those managers who have worked hard for decades dare not agree?”
“Speaking of the Sixth Business Division’s Kaleb, you may have heard! He was originally the most promising candidate for the executive president of the Sixth Business Division. Because he offended Bai Xiaosheng over a woman at a small banquet, Bai Xiaosheng sent multiple people to conduct consecutive investigations and delayed publishing the results. I think there is no result at all; Bai Xiaosheng is abusing his power!”
“Imagine a person holding such power, acting so recklessly. What would you feel if he investigates you one day?”
Vice Chairman Morgan was agitated, causing those present to look at each other, with some showing visible changes in their expressions.
Caroline looked at Bai Xiaosheng with an expression that seemed to say, “So this is the kind of person you are.”
“Vice Chairman Morgan, you seem to have missed a point: that Mr. Kaleb is also a member of your family and seems deeply trusted by you, and his support rate in the Sixth Business Division is not the highest.” Bai Xiaosheng remarked calmly, “If you want to see our investigation results, I can show you.”
“You speak with a silver tongue! Don’t attempt to mislead everyone!” Vice Chairman Morgan shouted sternly.
“Alright, let’s look at this first. If there is indeed an issue, I believe no one can hide it from the eyes of those present.”
Wen Yan saw that the staff had adjusted the instrument and immediately went over to pass the USB to them.
The technician inserted the USB in front of everyone, and the screen instantly showed an account detail chart.
Those present squinted their eyes to look.
Without explanation, it was strenuous to browse through it.
“If we just look at it like this, who knows when we’ll understand it; it makes one’s head spin.” Wen Yan frowned and said to Vice Chairman Morgan.
“No problem!” Vice Chairman Morgan immediately replied, “I can have the relevant corporate head connect here to explain and confront Bai Xiaosheng directly!”
Then, Vice Chairman Morgan sneered and cast a glance at Bai Xiaosheng.
Caroline’s eyes sparkled, eagerly waiting to see Bai Xiaosheng’s panic, helplessness, and anger.
In her heart, Bai Xiaosheng had been a nightmare for a long time!
To see him utterly doomed by her scheme today was the most exciting and happiest thing for her!
Upon hearing Vice Chairman Morgan’s words, Wen Yan nodded and instructed the connection of a video conference on the other screen.
Vice Chairman Morgan’s side was naturally prepared in advance, he sent a message via phone, notifying Mrs. Margery’s side.
Soon, the video connection was successful.
A balding middle-aged Caucasian appeared on the screen, known as a prominent manager of the Sixth Business Division, recognized even among some of the business presidents present, given the phenomenon of talent poaching among divisions.
“Mr. Halley, now you can publicly explain how Bai Xiaosheng exploited and blackmailed you without reservation. We, the vice presidents, make the decisions, he can’t touch you!” Vice Chairman Morgan encouraged.
On the screen, Mr. Halley nodded repeatedly.
Li Yunyuan, leading those loyal to Bai Xiaosheng, focused intently, eager to hear what he would say, and the truth of the matter.
The group aligned with Vice Chairman Morgan, including Caroline, prepared to criticize Bai Xiaosheng once the charges against him were “unveiled.”
The only one with a seemingly indifferent expression in the whole scene was Bai Xiaosheng.
At that moment, Bai Xiaosheng’s demeanor was as if the matter discussed pertained to someone else and was unrelated to him.
“This Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, upon arriving here, immediately threw himself into the work. Not only disregarding day and night for himself but also dragging everyone in the company to crazily work overtime with him!”
On the screen, Mr. Halley started with a complaint, his gaze was deeply resentful.
Everyone attentively listened to the exposition of Bai Xiaosheng’s crimes, yet he continued complaining about the hardships Bai Xiaosheng imposed on him and how the subordinates were exhausted and discontented.
“Alright, alright, that’s enough!”
Vice Chairman Morgan, feeling increasingly uneasy, couldn’t bear listening any longer.
This damned prelude to the accusations was too long!
Who wants to hear about these trivial matters!
Li Yunyuan and others looked puzzled, glancing at Vice Chairman Morgan.
“Mr. Halley, speak about the account issues!” Vice Chairman Morgan restrained his anger and urged.
“Uh, the account problem.” The man finally redirected his attention to the accounts.
Vice Chairman Morgan, Caroline, focused intensely, awaiting.
“There’s no problem with the accounts, Mr. Bai Xiaosheng hasn’t intervened much on these matters.” Halley said.
One sentence nearly made Vice Chairman Morgan jump.
“What do you mean, no problem! Think clearly before speaking—this is not an occasion for nonsense, careful or I’ll make you step down!” Vice Chairman Morgan angrily pointed at the screen.
Mr. Halley seemed startled, stammering, “Uh, please tell me what’s wrong, I’ll listen to you…”
This remark suddenly drew meaningful glances towards Vice Chairman Morgan from those present.
Caroline’s expression changed abruptly.
The situation took an unexpected turn; the arranged person was backtracking?!
Was it fear of Bai Xiaosheng’s position as the second-in-command of the Inspection Department?
“Mr. Morgan, think carefully about what you say. You are threatening a manager at the highest-level group meeting, everyone is watching.” Bai Xiaosheng said softly.
Vice Chairman Morgan’s face changed upon hearing this, muttering, “This… this doesn’t count, switch to the next person!”
Mr. Halley’s screen was immediately cut off, replaced by another middle-aged African American woman.
She was also known as a manager, transferred from the African region.
The USB content was also switched concurrently.
“Lena, just explain how your company was harmed by Bai Xiaosheng, without any unnecessary chatter!” Vice Chairman Morgan spoke bluntly.
Ms. Lena seemed startled by Vice Chairman Morgan’s urgency, hesitantly saying, “Do you mean his interference in our contract, forcibly influencing the contract process?”
Interference in contracts? That involves money!
Vice Chairman Morgan rejoiced upon hearing this, finally having someone reliable.
Caroline was surprised, not recalling this woman’s company raising such allegations, looking suspiciously at the “evidence” on the other screen.
She examined it, her expression shifted slightly, murmuring, “This isn’t right!”
Unfortunately, Caroline’s muttering was unheard by others.
Vice Chairman Morgan was expectant, eager for Ms. Lena’s accusations against Bai Xiaosheng.
Lena seemed to search for Bai Xiaosheng on the screen, finally finding him, her eyes brightening.
“Mr. Bai, great to see you again!” In front of everyone, Lena awarded Bai Xiaosheng a “commendation,” thanking him for forcing them to stop the contract, as they now learned the company involved had significant issues, sparing them major losses! He was truly a visionary man!
